  • django custom management command does not show up in production

    I wrote a custom management command for django. Locally with my dev settings everything works fine. Now I deployed my project onto the production server and the management command does not show up, respectively is not available. But I did not get an error message deploying the project (syncdb). Any ideas where I could try to begin to search? Is there a special command that all custom management commands are "autodiscovered"?

  • Java service wrapper and additional application command line parameters

    I'm currently using java service wrapper to wrap a java application that I've developed. I'm needing to ability to pass in additional command line parameters to my application through the java service wrapper. Pretend my app is called myapp and I've setup java service wrapper so that the script I run to start is called myapp. I'd like to be able to do something like this: ./myapp start Parameter1 parameter2 and have those additional parameters get passed into my application. Any ideas how to do this? I'm finding that googling and looking at the documentation is only pulling up how to use command line arguments to setup java service wrapper. I've had difficulty finding anything about passing command line arguments to your application except for having them hard coded in your wrapper.conf file. Right now I feel like my option is to take the additional command line parameters, set them to environment variables and have those hard coded in the wrapper.conf. I'd prefer not to go down that road though and am hoping I've overlooked something.

  • How Can I Add a New Command to a Control's Event

    Hi, thanks for taking a look at this question. I have been building an application (VB/WPF) following Josh Smith's example of an MVVM pattern: Click here to view My Views have Controls which trigger a Command upon an event, such as a button click and these are bound to properties in the ViewModel. My ViewModel exposes properties of type ICommand which invoke the appropriate methods. This has worked well, until now! I now want to use a Thumb Control to allow a user to move an object within a Canvas. I don't believe that the Thumb has a Command capability 'out of the box'. A Thumb raises a 'DragDelta' event when being moved. So my question is as follows: How do I extend a Control's capability to issue a Command upon an event please? I wish to issue a new Command, let's say 'onDragDelta' so that I can bind it to a property in my ViewModel just like my Buttons. Thank you very much

  • C# DllImport with c++ const char* not working correctly

    I have the following function in a C++ DLL extern "C" __declspec(dllexport) bool Exist(const char* name) { //if (g_Queues.find(name) != g_Queues.end()) // return true; //else // return false; return false; } Inside my C# class I have the following: [DllImport("Whisper.dll", EntryPoint="Exist", CallingConvention=CallingConvention.Cdecl)] public static extern bool Exist(string name); Yet, whenever I call my function it ALWAYS returns true, even when I commented out my little function and made it return false. I have the feeling there is something wrong with my calling convention or any other issue with P/Invoking my DLL, probably corresponding with the string and const char*, but for now I am completely clueless. What am I doing wrong? Why does it return true instead of false? EDIT: I have figured out this has nothing to do with the const char* or string, because the problem persists with an empty function. I've tried changing the calling convention between Cdecl and StdCall and neither work correctly. I've also managed to debug my DLL and it's being called correctly and does indeed return false, but once back into C# it somehow is true. Changing the CharSet also had no effect. I've made sure I've supplied my C# program with the latest and correct version of my DLL each time, so that shouldn't be an issue aswell. Again, I am completely clueless on why the result is true when I'm in fact returning false. EDIT2: SOReader provided me with a suggestion which fixes another important issue, see my comment. Sadly, it does not fix the return issue.

    I'm getting an error when I run the Spree sample data. It occurs when Spree tries to load in the product data, specifically the product images. Expected 0 I've also tried manually updating the Paperclip gem in Spree to 3.0.2 and still get the same error. So, I'm not really sure what else to try. Is there still something incorrect with my ImageMagick setup?

    Just converting some shell scripts into batch files and there is one thing I can't seem to find...and that is a simple count of the number of command line arguments. eg. if you have: myapp foo bar In Shell: $# - 2 $* - foo bar $0 - myapp $1 - foo $2 - bar In batch ?? - 2 <---- what command?! %* - foo bar %0 - myapp %1 - foo %2 - bar So I've looked around, and either I'm looking in the wrong spot or I'm blind, but I can't seem to find a way to get a count of number of command line arguments passed in. Is there a command similar to shell's "$#" for batch files? ps. the closest i've found is to iterate through the %1s and use 'shift', but I need to refernece %1,%2 etc later in the script so that's no good.

    I have a form page in PHP that reads a DBF, and conditionally converts it into a MySQL - extracting the data from an old, but still production accounting app. The conversion should be able to be actioned without user intervention, ie scripted from the web-host's command line on a cron job. How can I get PHP to submit the form automatically when receiving variables at command line, like for instance a specific post variable? Every auto-submit I've found so far relied upon javascript, which would be useless at PHP command line.

I can retrieve the hash using this command: git log --format=%H | tail -1 Then I try to merge a commit with command above and make an alias in '.gitconfig', like this: [alias] ci = !git commit && git log --format=%H | tail -1 But this does not work; parameters of alias are send to tail command, not git commit. How should I create this alias?

    This is a follow-on question to the How do you use ssh in a shell script? question. If I want to execute a command on the remote machine that runs in the background on that machine, how do I get the ssh command to return? When I try to just include the ampersand (&) at the end of the command it just hangs. The exact form of the command looks like this: ssh user@target "cd /some/directory; program-to-execute &" Any ideas? One thing to note is that logins to the the target machine always produce a text banner and I have ssh keys set up so no password is required.

I'm creating a model instance (using MVVM pattern) in the code behind file in the constructor of page as MainViewModel model = new MainViewModel(); I have a button in HomePage.xaml which I want to bind to the command inside MainViewModel called GetData() and want to populate the data in datagrid. MainViewModel has an ObservableCollection which I would use to bind the data in datagrid. Populating the data in datagrid without binding command works fine.     How is it possible to execute a direct SQL command to an ADO.NET connected database? I want to send a DBCC SHRINKDATABASE to the SQL server, to compress the current datafile after a big deletion process. The function ObjectContext::CreateQuery returns a parser error after the DBCC command. Is there any other way to shrink the database file, or another way to send the SQL command directly to the SQL Server?

  • Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R command not working

    I'm attempting to use the Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R command within Visual Studio 2008 to rename a variable. I get an error message at the bottom saying that "The key combination (Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R) is bound to command (&Rename...) which is not currently available." I am not running it or anything I can think of which might prohibit modifications of the file and the F2 command allows a rename to happen. Anyone know how to fix this?

  • How does the event dispatch thread work?

    With the help of people on stackoverflow I was able to get the following working code of the simples GUI countdown (it just displays a window counting down seconds). My main problem with this code is the invokeLater stuff. As far as I understand the invokeLater send a task to the event dispatching thread (EDT) and then the EDT execute this task whenever it "can" (whatever it means). Is it right? To my understanding the code works like that: In the main method we use invokeLater to show the window (showGUI method). In other words, the code displaying the window will be executed in the EDT. In the main method we also start the counter and the counter (by construction) is executed in another thread (so it is not in the event dispatching thread). Right? The counter is executed in a separate thread and periodically it calls updateGUI. The updateGUI is supposed to update GUI. And GUI is working in the EDT. So, updateGUI should also be executed in the EDT. It is why the code for the updateGUI is inclosed in the invokeLater. Is it right? What is not clear to me is why we call the counter from the EDT. Anyway it is not executed in the EDT. It starts immediately a new thread and the counter is executed there.     I have a method, which I wish to execute on the UI message pump and thus do the following: private void SomeMethod() { BeginInvoke(new MethodInvoker(MethodToInvoke)); } private void MethodToInvoke() { // This method contains code that I wish to execute on UI message pump. } Now, the above works just fine when I create a Debug build of the project. However, when I create a Release build, the "MethodToInvoke" method does not get invoked. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? Thanks, Elan

    I'm using a Mac keyboard on Ubuntu at work. What do I add to my .emacs file to turn the command key to Meta? I tried (setq mac-command-key-is-meta t) and (setq mac-command-key 'meta) and neither works.
