• Is there an "extended" UIHint attribute to apply CSS styles for DisplayFor - EditorFor templates?

  Intro: After reading Brad Wilson Metadata series and searching unsuccesfully on google, I was wondering: Question: Has any OS project / code been created that allows you to tag CSS styles in the Meta information, for example in my (buddy) Model, I want to be able to decorate a property with multiple CSS styles (a single style you can fake with UIHint, I want to set many possible styles - and be able to "cross-utilise") eg. public class MyModel { [DisplayCssHint("h5")] [DisplayCssHint("color:#777;")] [EditorCssHint(".myCoolTextClass")] [EditorCssHint(".myOtherCoolTextClass")] public string Title{ get;set; } [DisplayCssHint(".normaltext")] [EditorCssHint(".myCoolTextClass")] [EditorCssHint(".myOtherCoolTextClass")] public string Message {get;set;} } Thoughts: I know that this does not seem like a logical place to put styling information, however as it is metadata and is discriptive... besides it would be nice to do this while prototyping - (especially being able to apply class styles and extending it further - to generate .Less files would really be cool! more to the point I would hate to write it, if its already been done ;). • input file cannot be found

  I am just messing around with reading input files with java until I got stumped at the most basic of steps... finding the input file! The input.txt file is in the same directory as my class file that is calling it yet eclipse still gives me an error that it cant be found: "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problem: Unhandled exception type FileNotFoundException" My code: package pa; import java.util.Scanner; public class Project { public static void main(String[] args) { java.io.File file = new java.io.File("input.txt"); System.out.println(file.getAbsolutePath()); Scanner input = new Scanner(file); } } input.txt is in the same package, same folder and everything. I'm confused :(

• DataNucleus Enhancer flakey?

  I'm creating a GWT app in Google App Engine, and using Google data store. Does anybody else have the problem of the DataNucleus being flakey as all get out? I can save a class, and DataNucleus will do it's thing just fine. If I change ANYTHING in the class (even adding whitespace) and then save, I get the following error: DataNucleus Enhancer completed with success for 0 classes. Timings : input=37 ms, enhance=0 ms, total=37 ms. Consult the log for full details DataNucleus Enhancer completed and no classes were enhanced. Consult the log for full details Once I clean my project, DataNucleus is happy again. Is this common when using eclipse? Is there a workaround?

  I have a child element of a div named "bob" that's class is '.divTitle' <div id="bob"> <div class="divTitle"> <a href="#"> <h1>Title</h1> </a> </div> </div> I am trying to set the background color of "divTitle" to red but for the life of me can't get this to work. Right now I am trying two things... $('#bob').children('.divTitle')[0].css('background-color', '#0f0'); // assuming children is returning an array... and $('#bob').children('.divTitle').css('background-color', '#0f0'); neither with any success... can anyone tell me what I am missing here? Do I have to go deeper than ".children"?

• GAE Datastore: persisting referenced objects

  Two "I'm sorries" to begin with: 1) I've looked for a solution (here, and elsewhere), and couldn't find the answer. 2) English is not my mother tongue, so I may have some typos and the sort - please ignore them. To the point: I am trying to persist Java objects to the GAE datastore. I am not sure as to how to persist object having ("non-trivial") referenced object. That is, assume I have the following. public class Father { String name; int age; Vector<Child> offsprings; //this is what I call "non-trivial" reference //ctor, getters, setters... } public class Child { String name; int age; Father father; //this is what I call "non-trivial" reference //ctor, getters, setters... } The name field is unique in each type domain, and is considered a Primary-Key. In order to persist the "trivial" (String, int) fields, all I need is to add the correct annotation. So far so good. However, I don't understand how should I persist the home-brewed (Child, Father) types referenced. Should I: Convert each such reference to hold the Primary-Key (a name String, in this example) instead of the "actual" object. So, Vector<Child> offsprings; becomes Vector<String> offspringsNames; ? If that is the case, how do I handle the object at run-time? Do I just query for the Primary-Key from Class.getName, to retrieve the refrenced objects? Convert each such reference to hold the actual Key provided to me by the Datastore upon the proper put() operation? So, Vector<Child> offsprings; becomes Vector<Key> offspringsHashKeys; ? I would very much appreciate all kinds of comments. I have read ALL the offical relevant GAE docs/example. Throughout, they always persist "trivial" references, natively supported by the Datastore (e.g. in the Guestbook example, only Strings, and Longs). Many thanks, David

  I have a number of inputs on a page function as JQ UI datepicker. Each needs to have different settings. If I empty the parentheses after $this.datepicker it works fine. I have also tried another way to assign settings. ("option",...) no dice.

• operator+ overload returning object causing memory leaks, C++

  The problem i think is with returing an object when i overload the + operator. I tried returning a reference to the object, but doing so does not fix the memory leak. I can comment out the two statements: dObj = dObj + dObj2; and cObj = cObj + cObj2; to free the program of memory leaks. • Different return XML in a WCF Operation

  I am writing a service to a international HTTP standard, and there is one method that can return three different XML results, call them Single, Multiple and Error. Now I've written an IXmlSerializable class that can consume each of these results and generate them. However, WCF seems to insist that I can only have a single return XML root name. I have to choose an XmlRoot for my custom object of either Single, Multiple or Error. How can I set up WCF so that I can choose at runtime what the root will be? • Incongruity between Eclipse Outline/Package perspective and source code being displayed - Java error generated at runtime

  I've been debugging a Java application and have encountered something odd. When a particular method is called, Java throws a ClassNotFoundException. Unfortunately, the methods in question (the invoking and the 'missing' one) are inside a JAR file for which I have no documentation or source. To get at the source, I used JD-GUI (a Java JAR reverse engineer-er) and the JD plugin for Eclipse. As far as I can tell, the class in question exists inside the JAR file. This because JD-GUI displays it inside the JAR, and from within Eclipse I can see it listed along with the constructors and methods. My question is why the source being displayed in Eclipse is for a different class (that also exists)? This program was built with Ant - is it possible the problem lies there? • ForceContext Queries method twice?

So I can clearly see when its accessed more than once in a minute. If I comment out the second contextSwitch line, it only goes up 1, if Its not, it displays the xml page but adds 2 minutes (being called twice somehow). Any ideas?

• Object reference error even when object is not null

  hi, i have an application wherein i have incorporate a "Remember Me" feature for the login screen. I do this by creating a cookie when the user logs in for the first time, so next time when the user visits the site i get the cookie and load the user information. i have written the code for loading user information in a common class in the App_Code folder...and all my pages inherit from this class. code for loading the user info is as follows: public static void LoadUserDetails(string emailId) { UsersEnt currentUser = UsersBL.LoadUserInfo(emailId); if (currentUser != null) HttpContext.Current.Session["CurrentUser"] = currentUser; } Now the problem is i get an "Object reference" error when i try to store the currentUser object in the session variable (even though the currentUser object is not null). However the password property in the currentUser object is null. Am i getting the error because of this...or is there some other reason?? thank you

  I have a window that get its data from another class that is passed as DataContext. But I now also want to do data binding within the window. • Adding Existing Framework to Xcode (iPhone) error

  I have added the <QuartzCore/QuartzCore.h> to my Frameworks folder in my iPhone project and added the #import "<QuartzCore/QuartzCore.h>" statement at the top of a custom UIView class. However the custom UIView class gives me a "No such file or directory" compliation error in relation to the <QuartzCore/QuartzCore.h> framework. Is there something else I need to set so that the compiler can see the framework. I'm not expert on the Xcode IDE so any assistance would be extremely welcome.

  Hello - I have a few questions (so far) with the the LocationManager on Android and GPS in general.. Feel free to answer any number of the questions below, and I appreciate your help in advance! (I noticed this stuff doesn't appear to be documented very well, so hopefully these questions will help others out too!) 1) I am using the following code, but I think there may be extra fluff in here that I do not need. Can you tell me if I can delete any of this? LocationManager lm = (LocationManager) getSystemService(Context.LOCATION_SERVICE); LocationListener locationListener = new MyLocationListener(); lm.requestLocationUpdates(LocationManager.GPS_PROVIDER, 0, 0, locationListener); LocationProvider locationProvider = lm.getProvider("gps"); Location currentLocation = lm.getLastKnownLocation(locationProvider.getName()); 2) Is there a way to hold off on the last step (accessing "getLastKnownLocation" until after I am sure I have a GPS lock? What happens if this is called and GPS is still looking for signal? 3) MOST importantly, I want to ensure I have a GPS lock before I proceed to my next method, so is there a way to check to see if GPS is locked on and getLastKnownLocation is up to date? 4) Is there a way to 'shut down' the GPS listener once it does receive a lock and getLastKnownLocation is updated? I don't see a need to keep this running for my application once I have obtained a lock.. 5) Can you please confirm my assumption that "getLastKnownLocation" is updated frequently as the receiver moves? 6) In my code, I also have a class called "MyLocationListener" (code below) that I honestly just took from another example.. Is this actually needed?
