    Hi, I have a website deeloped in ASP.NET and I want it to be accessed via local URL, for eg: http://localhost/website20 I tried once but the CMS in my website started giving error "It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS." Please help about the steps I need to follow.

    Hi, I'm a .NET programmer who've just started to learn more about client side scripting, and I was wondering sometimes you use $get('value') and $find('value') and I've discovered that these are just shortcuts for document.getElementById('value') and Sys.Application.findComponent('value'), respectively. However, I still don't understand: what is the difference between these two functions in JavaScript? What exactly are they looking up/retrieving when invoked? Thanks in advance.

    I am looking for a static function in the .NET framework which takes an XML snippet and an Xslt file, applies the transformation in memory, and returns the transformed XML. I would like to do this: string rawXml = invoiceTemplateDoc.MainDocumentPart.Document.InnerXml; rawXml = DoXsltTransformation(rawXml, @"c:\prepare-invoice.xslt")); // ... do more manipulations on the rawXml Alternatively, instead of taking and returning strings, it could be taking and returning XmlNodes.     Let's assume you have a big complex index page, that shows news articles and stuff. It's not going to change very often. Can you cache it somehow on the serverside, so requests don't force to server to dynamically generate the entire page every time someone visits it? Or does ASP.NET do this automatically? If so, how does it know if something has changed?

What I mean is, I would like to have programs with the extension abc open by default by the program abc.exe. Or, have the program abc.exe in the list of programs that will be shown in the context menu on the "Open With" option, for files with extension "xls".
