    I am using CKEditor/CKFinder as wysiwyg editor on my MVC.NET site. I have set [ValidateInput(false)] and it works when debugging it locally, but I receive the following error when I have published the site: A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client (message="<p> <em>Testing</e..."). can anyone explain why the published site is different from the locally site, especially when I have set [ValidateInput(false)]?

    Hi all, Can anyone recommend software or even a .net library to develop software, that will check for bounced emails and the reason for the bounce? I get bounced emails into a pop3 account that I can read then... I need it to keep my user database clean from invalid email addresses and want to automate this (mark user as invalid email). Thanks

    How can I put a hard disk drive in stand-by or sleep mode in Windows, in a programmatic manner. Does the Windows API or any .Net libraries provide any functions to achieve this? (I am aware that I should probably not interfere with Windows's power management mechanism, but this is not something I intend to use in a production environment, it is a proof of concept for some algorithms).

    Hello EveryOne, i m using asp.NET MVC 2 for my current project and i need to validate form fields both on client and server side. for that i started with DataAnnotations. Now, i figure out that i have to write buddy class for every model or i have to go to designer generated code and put my annotations there (not a good idea though). if someone can suggest me a solution that helps me avoid writing those buddy classes and get the same functionality.     I have installed microsoft compute cluster and MPI.net, now i have trouble to run program using mpiexec.exe on cluster. When i try to run it on console i get message: "Access Denied", and pop up: "mpiexec.exe is not valid win32 application". I tried google it, but found nothing. Pls help. :)

  • Move jQuery data() when an element is destroyed and re-created

    Can anyone think of a (preferably quick) way to move the data() attached to a DOM element to a new instance of itself? The lightbox plugin I'm using deletes and re-appends and element to the page in order to display it in the lightbox (to aviod the multiple-ids issue that ASP.net has), and obviously the .data() that is attached to the element is lost when this happens.

    I'm developing Reporting services on VS2005 and have to connect to SQL Server 2008. The following Error occurs: "This server version is not supported. You must have Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Beta 2 or later." I found on the net a patch for it, but it doesn't work (link to patch) "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer Service because the program to be upgraded is missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program." what else can I do ? :(

  • how close to excel ergonimics can you make jqgrid

    I have been looking through [this jqgrid documentation][1] and see the example: i wanted to see how close you can get to data entry that is close to excel like moving arrows keys changes selection supporting Copy and paste from one cell to another column fills for a particular value. Is this asking to much for the web? If its not possible, are there other third party asp.net mvc components that do have these capabilities.
