  • Unexpected JAXB error

    - by Mark Lewis
Hello, From the documentation it's clear I need to use the following to get a simple unmarshalling to occur from my XML file/schema: JAXBContext jc = JAXBContext.newInstance("PackageName"); where PackageName is my package name. I've looked on google for a bit to no avail, to find out why I'm then getting this runtime error: Line:Col[2:142]:cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'myconfig'. Line:Col[2:142]:unexpected element (uri:"http://www.w3.org", local:"myconfig"). Expected elements are <{}myconfig> Caught UnmarshalException This occurs at the top of all my class files, including the ones the XJC plugin for eclipse created for me (which I then moved out of PackageName.PackageName which it automatically created): package PackageName; so why is this error occurring?

  • Large margin by long title

    - by Kevin Koenen
    I try to show a list of offers. When an advertiser insert a large title, the margin of an item (offer) will be showed what shouldn't. I've tried different layouts but that doesn't work. Link to image :) You see, some of the items has a large margin. Here's the code: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/gallerylayout" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="left|center" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:paddingBottom="2dp" android:paddingTop="2dp" android:paddingLeft="5dp" android:background="#20000000" android:cacheColorHint="#00000000"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/ad_image_small" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_marginRight="6dip" android:src="@drawable/ic_launcher"/> <LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="0dip" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <TextView android:id="@+id/ad_id" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/ad_img_url" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content"/> <LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> <TextView android:id="@+id/ad_title" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:padding="3dp" android:gravity="left" android:textColor="#000000" android:ellipsize="end" android:singleLine="true"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/ad_km" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_margin="3dp" android:layout_marginBottom="1dp" android:textColor="#000000" android:gravity="right"/> </LinearLayout> <LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> <TextView android:id="@+id/ad_text" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginLeft="3dp" android:textColor="#0099CC" android:ellipsize="end" android:singleLine="true"/> </LinearLayout> <LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_margin="2dp" android:padding="5dp"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/ad_clock" android:layout_width="20dp" android:layout_height="20dp" android:layout_marginRight="5dip" android:src="@drawable/icon_clock"/> <ProgressBar android:id="@+id/progressbar" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="8dp" android:layout_margin="5dp" android:paddingLeft="2dp" android:max="100" style="?android:attr/progressBarStyleHorizontal" android:progressDrawable="@drawable/color_progressbar" /> </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout> <ImageView android:id="@+id/overlay_image" android:background="#0000" android:src="@drawable/verlopen2x" android:layout_alignTop="@id/ad_image_small" android:layout_alignBottom="@id/ad_image_small" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:visibility="visible" /> I can't see what i'm doing wrong. • Dispatcher for Filter Mapping

    - by George
I have an app written for Servlet Spec 2.4 with an old webserver designed for Servlet Spec 2.3. The web.xml file has the following syntax: <filter-mapping> <filter-name>sitemesh</filter-name> <url-pattern>*.action</url-pattern> <dispatcher>REQUEST</dispatcher> <dispatcher>FORWARD</dispatcher> </filter-mapping> How can I re-write this mapping to be servlet 2.3 compliant?

  • AsyncTask and Contexts

    - by Michael
So I'm working out my first multi-threaded application using Android with the AsyncTask class. I'm trying to use it to fire off a Geocoder in a second thread, then update the UI with onPostExecute, but I keep running into an issue with the proper Context. I kind of hobbled my way through using Contexts on the main thread, but I'm not exactly sure what the Context is or how to use it on background threads, and I haven't found any good examples on it. Any help? Here is an excerpt of what I'm trying to do: public class GeoCode extends AsyncTask<GeoThread, Void, GeoThread> { @Override protected GeoThread doInBackground(GeoThread... i) { List<Address> addresses = null; Geocoder geoCode = null; geoCode = new Geocoder(null); //Expects at minimum Geocoder(Context context); addresses = geoCode.getFromLocation(GoldenHour.lat, GoldenHour.lng, 1); } } It keeps failing at the sixth line there, because of the improper Context.

  • SLF4J, Common Logging, console output

    - by Mauricio Scheffer
I have this 3rd party library that has: slf4j-api-1.5.5.jar slf4j-jdk14-1.5.5.jar jcl-over-slf4j-1.5.5.jar I want to write some tests against this library and see its log output, and I don't want to add any more logging libraries (no log4j or anything else). I understand that SLF4J and Common Logging are both logging abstractions so I probably need to write my own simple concrete logger (or maybe not, since jcl-over-slf4j includes org.apache.commons.logging.impl.SimpleLog?). If so, what interfaces should I implement, and more importantly, how do I set up SL4J/Common Logging to use my logger in my test? I read in the SLF4J docs that I have to modify the StaticLoggerBinder class... does that really mean that I actually have to download SLF4J sources, modify the class and recompile it?

  • how to convert byte array to key format??

    - by sebby_zml
hi everyone, i would like to know how to convert byte array into key. i am doing an AES encryption/decryption. instead of generating a key, i would like to use my generated byte array. byte[] clientCK = Milenage.f3(sharedSecret16, RANDbytes, opc); let say i have a byte array called clientCK, stated above. i want to use it in AES encryption as shown below. Cipher c = Cipher.getInstance("AES"); c.init(Cipher.ENCRYPT_MODE, key); byte[] encValue = c.doFinal(valueToEnc.getBytes()); String encryptedValue = new BASE64Encoder().encode(encValue); therefore, i need to convert that byte array clientCK into key format. please help.

  • URLCallback with JAAS on WAS?

    - by Dean J
I extended the JAAS javax.security.auth.spi.LoginModule, and installed it into a WAS server. It works; all logins go through the code in this new class, and if it says to not let them login, they're prevented from logging in. The root problem: I don't want it to filter logins for the admin console (/ibm/console), but I do want it to filter logins for other things on the server. I think that with the available setup, the login module applies to everything installed on the server, including the administration screens. I'd like to solve that by getting the URL of the page that triggered the call to the LoginModule. If I were using WebLogic, I'd use a URLCallback to get the URL. Does anyone know if Websphere Application Server has any parallel functionality to that, or if there's another workaround?

  • How do I send an email with embedded images AND regular attachments in JavaMail?

    - by Chris
Hi, I'd like to know how to build an SMTP multipart message in the correct order so that it will render correctly on the iPhone mail client (rendering correctly in GMail). I'm using Javamail to build up an email containing the following parts: A body part with content type "text/html; UTF-8" An embedded image attachment. A file attachment I am sending the mail via GMail SMTP (via SSL) and the mail is sent and rendered correctly using a GMail account, however, the mail does not render correctly on the iPhone mail client. On the iPhone mail client, the image is rendered before the "Before Image" text when it should be rendered afterwards. After the "Before Image" text there is an icon with a question mark (I assume it means it couldn't find the referenced CID). I'm not sure if this is a limitation of the iPhone mail client or a bug in my mail sending code (I strongly assume the latter). I think that perhaps the headers on my parts might by incorrect or perhaps I am providing the multiparts in the wrong order. I include the text of the received mail as output by gmail (which renders the file correc Message-ID: <[email protected]> Subject: =?UTF-8?Q?Test_from_=E3=82=AF=E3=83=AA=E3=82=B9?= MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="----=_Part_0_20870565.1274154021755" ------=_Part_0_20870565.1274154021755 Content-Type: application/octet-stream Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-ID: <20100518124021763_368238_0> iVBORw0K ----- TRIMMED FOR CONCISENESS 6p1VVy4alAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg== ------=_Part_0_20870565.1274154021755 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit <html><head><title>Employees Favourite Foods</title> <style> body { font: normal 8pt arial; } th { font: bold 8pt arial; white-space: nowrap; } td { font: normal 8pt arial; white-space: nowrap; } </style></head><body> Before Image<br><img src="cid:20100518124021763_368238_0"> After Image<br><table border="0"> <tr> <th colspan="4">Employees Favourite Foods</th> </tr> <tr> <th align="left">Name</th><th align="left">Age</th><th align="left">Tel.No</th><th align="left">Fav.Food</th> </tr> <tr style="background-color:#e0e0e0"> <td>Chris</td><td>34</td><td>555-123-4567</td><td>Pancakes</td> </tr> </table></body></html> ------=_Part_0_20870565.1274154021755 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; name=textfile.txt Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=textfile.txt This is a textfile with numbers counting from one to ten beneath this line: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten(no trailing carriage return) ------=_Part_0_20870565.1274154021755-- Even if you can't assist me with this, I would appreciate it if any members of the forum could forward me a (non-personal) mail that includes inline images (not external hyperlinked images though). • all individual panels are not shown inside root panel

    - by Suresh Kumar
Respected sir/madam, I want to add multiple jpanels to jpanel. So i added a root panel to jscrollpane.and then added all individual jpanels to this root panel.I made jscrollpane's scrolling policy as needed.i.e HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_AS_NEEDED,VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_AS_NEEDED. But the problem is all individual panels are not shown inside root panel. Code: JScrollPane scPanel=new JScrollPane(); JPanel rootPanel=new JPanel(); rootPanel.setLayout(new FlowLayout()); JPanel indPanel = new JPanel(); rootPanel.add(indPanel); JPanel indPanel2 = new JPanel(); rootPanel.add(indPanel2); //.....like this added indPanals to rootPanel. scPanel.setViewPortView(rootPanel); //scPanel.setHorizontalScrollPolicy(HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_AS_NEEDED); And one more thing is, as i scroll the scrollbar the panels are going out of jscrollpane area. I am not able to see all individual panels, Please suggest me.

  • best way to pick a random subset from a collection?

    - by Tom
I have a set of objects in a Vector from which I'd like to select a random subset (e.g. 100 items coming back; pick 5 randomly). In my first (very hasty) pass I did an extremely simple and perhaps overly clever solution: Vector itemsVector = getItems(); Collections.shuffle(itemsVector); itemsVector.setSize(5); While this has the advantage of being nice and simple, I suspect it's not going to scale very well, i.e. Collections.shuffle() must be O(n) at least. My less clever alternative is Vector itemsVector = getItems(); Random rand = new Random(System.currentTimeMillis()); // would make this static to the class List subsetList = new ArrayList(5); for (int i = 0; i < 5; i++) { // be sure to use Vector.remove() or you may get the same item twice subsetList.add(itemsVector.remove(rand.nextInt(itemsVector.size()))); } Any suggestions on better ways to draw out a random subset from a Collection?

  • Why can't upload three files with FileUpload ?

    - by Valter Henrique
    Hi everyone, i'm trying to upload three images to my server, is working, but upload always the last file selected by the user, not the three selected. Here's my code: protected void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response){ boolean multipart = ServletFileUpload.isMultipartContent(request); if (multipart) { DiskFileItemFactory fileItemFactory = new DiskFileItemFactory(); fileItemFactory.setSizeThreshold(5 * 1024 * 1024); //5 MB fileItemFactory.setRepository(tmpDir); ServletFileUpload uploadHandler = new ServletFileUpload(fileItemFactory); try { List items = uploadHandler.parseRequest(request); Iterator itr = items.iterator(); while (itr.hasNext()) { FileItem item = (FileItem) itr.next(); File file = new File(dir, generateNewName()); item.write(file); } } catch (FileUploadException ex) { } catch (Exception ex) { } } } -- UPDATE: <html> <head> <title>Upload</title> </head> <body> <form action="Upload" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <input type="file" name="file1" /> <br /> <input type="file" name="file2" /> <br /> <input type="file" name="file3" /> <br /> <input type="submit" value="Enviar" /> </form> </body> </html> Best regards, Valter Henrique.

There is an event in my application that will cause a function to generate and display the said JDialog. Now, I want to know if the user has closed that JDialog. How do I find this out? P.S. My defaultCloseOperation is JDialog.DISPOSE_ON_CLOSE.

  • Delivery of JMS message before the transaction is committed

    - by ewernli
Hi, I have a very simple scenario involving a database and a JMS in an application server (Glassfish). The scenario is dead simple: 1. an EJB inserts a row in the database and sends a message. 2. when the message is delivered with an MDB, the row is read and updated. The problem is that sometimes the message is delivered before the insert has been committed in the database. This is actually understandable if we consider the 2 phase commit protocol: 1. prepare JMS 2. prepare database 3. commit JMS 4. ( tiny little gap where message can be delivered before insert has been committed) 5. commit database I've discussed this problem with others, but the answer was always: "Strange, it should work out of the box". My questions are then: How could it work out-of-the box? My scenario sounds fairly simple, why isn't there more people with similar troubles? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to solve this issue correctly? Here are a bit more details about my understanding of the problem: This timing issue exist only if the participant are treated in this order. If the 2PC treats the participants in the reverse order (database first then message broker) that should be fine. The problem was randomly happening but completely reproducible. I found no way to control the order of the participants in the distributed transactions in the JTA, JCA and JPA specifications neither in the Glassfish documentation. We could assume they will be enlisted in the distributed transaction according to the order when they are used, but with an ORM such as JPA, it's difficult to know when the data are flushed and when the database connection is really used. Any idea?

  • Alternative Control Structures

    - by Brock Woolf
I've been wondering about alternative ways to write control structures. One that you learn early on for if statements is a replacement for this: if ( x ) { // true } else { // false } with this (sometimes this is more readable compared to lots of brackets): x ? true : false It got me thinking. Can we replace anything else incase it's more readable. We of course replace if statements like this: if (a < b) { return true; } else { return false; } with things like this: return a < b; We can save a long if with something like this (pretty much same as the one above): bool xCollisionTrue = (object.xPos < aabb.maxX && object.xPos > aabb.minX); So those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head for the if statement and doing comparisons. So I'm wondering what about looping constructs, for, while, etc. Maybe the code obfuscators might have some ideas.

  • simpledateformat parsing date with 'Z' literal

    - by DanInDC
I am trying to parse a date that looks like this: 2010-04-05T17:16:00Z This is a valid date per http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3339.txt. The 'Z' literal "imply that UTC is the preferred reference point for the specified time." If I try to parse it using SimpleDateFormat and this pattern: yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss It will be parsed as a Mon Apr 05 17:16:00 EDT 2010 SimpleDateFormat is unable to parse the string with these patterns: yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ssz yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ssZ I can explicitly set the TimeZone to use on the SimpleDateFormat to get the expected output, but I don't think that should be necessary. Is there something I am missing? Is there an alternative date parser?
