  • Join a single row in one table to n random rows in another

    Is it possible to make a join in SQL server that joins each row from table A to n random rows in another? For example, say I have a Customer table, a Product table and an Order table. I want to join each customer to 5 random products and insert these rows into the order table. (And each customer should be joined to 5 random rows of his own, I don't want all customers joining to the same 5 rows). Is this possible? I'm using SQL Server 2005 and it's fine if the solution is specific to that. This is a weird requirement but I'm basically making a small data generator to generate some random data.

    Generally, when we want to show the contents of some web page in the same page, we go for ajax requests. If say, I request to a web page in different domain with AJAX, it is not allowed because of the Cross side scripting error. But why is it allowed to access via a server side page. For e.g. we can use CURL in php to access any site.? Why is this feature OK for server side scripting and NOT OK for Client Side Scripting?

    I trying to find the best way to upgrade from PHP 5.1 to 5.3. The CRM software I am running on this server requires this upgrade or else I probably wouldn't even perform it, because it seems like it's going to be perhaps trickier than I hoped it would be. Being still new to the programming world, these routine upgrades are still worrisome to me. I am running apache 2.2.6 (Fedora), PHP 5.1.6 and MySQL 5.0.27 on this server.

    I can derive latitude and longitude and UTC time from GPS NMEA sentences. Now, how can I automaticly adjust the Windows local time zone on my PC (2003 Server OS), based on this? Also, Is there an easy way of distributing this to clients based on code or apps software? Preferred programming environment is .NET, C# & Visual Studio. I use a GPS Time server (GPS clock with antenna) today, but this could not support other than UTC. I want to set computers in my TCP/UDP network to correct time zone w/DST based on coordinates derived from GPS, so manually setting of all is not required.

When I run the kickstart I keep getting all these errors that have to do with python files for configuring partitions. The only actual maybe useful piece of information is KeyError /dev/sda/ I tried a number of alterations of this configuration but nothing really worked. Any ideas?

I'd like to do it a bit differently: gzip the source folder scp the archive to the destination server gunzip the file there delete the archive at the source and the destination What is the best way to accomplish all this?

  • Migrating WebLogic 10.3.0 to new host. Slow managed server startup times

    We are migrating our Blue Martini Commerce application (only supported on WebLogic 10.3.0) to a new host (Redhat 6.3 on a VMWare ESX vm). We are seeing extremely slow start up times for our managed server(s) that is basically 20x slower than our current production. As a for instance the Publish managed server takes ~30 - 45 seconds in current production and in the new environment it takes ~10 minutes. The setup uses the same domain structure and JVM as the current production environment. The same setup files are used. We use jdk1.6.0_33 on 64 bit architecture. We used the generic 64bit weblogic installer and used pack / unpack utilities to migrate the domain. The JAVA_OPTS to start this server are: "-d64 -Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:PermSize=48m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m" The sysadmins have checked /etc/sysctl.conf and /etc/limits.conf to ensure we were not hitting some kind of process limit. As I am not sure what this managed server does from a Blue Martini perspective during the phase of startup I also had the DBA check to ensure that Oracle RAC (11.2.0.3) wasn't also hitting some kind of process limit or if there was a tns listener issue. The new host is quite a bit stricter with their server lock downs so there are a few differences.... Redhat 6.3 in new env, RH 5.7 in current SElinux is targeted in new env and disabled in current VM in new env and dedicated hardware in current iptables disabled in current. It was enabled in new prod but I had them disable it just in case I apologize for not being more specific. I am mostly hoping got some tips. I do not have the typical root access I would normally have in this environment. I am just hoping got a path forward. I did a few 'kill -3' to see if there are blocked threads and I got nadda. The service works for all intents and purposes it is just painfully slow. Thanks you all in advance for reading and best regards. Wade

  • Establish connection with an IP camera behind a modem-router assigned with a private IP by Internet Service Provider?

    Most solutions out there require the modem-router to have been assigned a public IP by the ISP. After which, one can access the IP camera via a portforward setting on the router. However, my ISP only provides private IPs internal to their system (they probably have a limited pool of public IPs). So I am unable to view my IP cameras in the way described. I'm wondering if there's a way to work around this problem without having to need a public IP. Since, after all, two users on Yahoo Messenger or Facebook Chat are able to find one another and exchange data despite both sides being within the internal networks of their respective ISPs. Given that I only plan to view my IP cameras via iOS or Android running on a smartphone or tablet, any ready-to-use solutions out there?

Id like to know how can I receive a request with nginx (or any other static file server), and send it to different web servers depending on IP's location. I mean, what is the point on having multiple db machines on country A and B, if the server that serves you the page is chosen by round robin.     i'm currently running samba-3.5.6 on a debian/wheezy host to act as the fileserver for our department's w32-clients. authentication is done via OpenLDAP, where each user-dn has an objectclass:sambaSamAccount that holds the smb-credentials and an objectclass:shadowAccount/posixAccount for "ordinary" authentication (e.g. pam, apache,...) now we would like to dump our department's user-db, and instead use authenticate against the user-db of our upstream-organisation. these user-accounts are managed in a novell-edirectory, which i can already use to authenticate using pam (e.g. for ssh-logins; on another host). our upstream organisation provides smb/cifs based access (via some novell service) to some directories, which i can access from my linux client via smbclient. what i currently don't manage to do is to use the upstream-ldap (the eDirectory) to authenticate our institution's samba: i configured my samba-server to auth against the upstream ldap server: passdb backend = ldapsam:ldaps://ldap.example.com but when i try to authenticate a user, i get: $ smbclient -U USER \\\\SMBSERVER\\test Enter USER's password: Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.6.6] tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED the logfiles show: [2012/10/02 09:53:47.692987, 0] passdb/secrets.c:350(fetch_ldap_pw) fetch_ldap_pw: neither ldap secret retrieved! [2012/10/02 09:53:47.693131, 0] lib/smbldap.c:1180(smbldap_connect_system) ldap_connect_system: Failed to retrieve password from secrets.tdb i see two problems i'm having: i don't have any administrator password for the upstream ldap (and most likely, they won't give me one). i only want to authenticate my users, write-access is not needed at all. can i go away with that? the upstream ldap does not have any samba-related attributes in the db. i was under the impression, that for samba to authenticate, those attributes are required, as smb/cifs uses some trivial hashing which is not compatible with the usual posixAccount hashes. is there a way for my department's samba server to authenticate against such an ldap server?

  • PHP doesn't show any kind of errors

    Hello everybody I have a PHP server at home for development. It is running: Ubuntu 9.10 Apache 2.2.12 PHP 5.3.2-0.dotdeb.1 MySql 5.0.7-dev Currently the settings in the php.ini for displayiong errors are: display_errors = on error_reporting = E_ALL But I do not see any errors in my php script. Also very strange is that phpinfo() shows me this: display_errors Off I checked the php.ini file, and restarted the apache server many times, but with no luck. Does anybody knows how this is possible? edit: When I localy set this: ini_set('display_errors', 'on'); I do receive errors.

  • ACL mess after rsync on Windows 2008

    The permissions in the ACL are not in the right order on some files and directories after having used rsync to synchronize directory trees. The stuff works well as it is on Windows 2003. Can someone explain this in detail. What exactly changed regarding ACLs from Windows 2003 to 2008? We fixed the rights with icalcs afterwards. But this thing seems a bit weird. Maybe 2008 has some restrictions or more checks 2003 did not have.
