• How to set my Bamboo Fun to work only on ONE of my dual screens?

  I need dual screen for my web developer job but when I do illustrations I prefer to work on a single screen to avoid the stretching of the workspace which affects tablet's precision. Is there a way to make my tablet work only on my primary screen and, at the same time, use mouse for both screens? I've looked into my tablet's preferences and haven't found it. I use Windows XP, Bamboo Fun A5, ATI Radeon X 1050. Thanks in advance.

• Dragging a window makes it become choppy

  On my old computer when you drag a window around, it seems to be cut up (like what you'd see in remote desktop on a slow connection) and its becoming really annoying. A few weeks when I was transferring data from it to my new laptop and it was working fine then however when I started it a few minutes ago this issue occurred.   My servers are currently running IIS 7 (windows 2008). Is there any way to get IIS 7.5 without upgrading to 2008 R2? The reason I ask is that they are 32 bit servers and there is no upgrade path from 32 bit 2008 to 2008 R2.

• File Hippo Update Checker Not Working in Win 7

  Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit 2 GB RAM Duo 1.6MHz processors Since upgrading from Vista to Win 7 File Hippo Update Checker no longer works? It appears to go through the motions of checking the software because the popup window appears but it never fires up the results in a browser which it used to do in Vista. It simply does nothing after the initial popup window appears and disappears. Have tried uninstall/reinstall with no joy. Any ideas?

• Moved files only opening as 'read-only' in Excel

  I moved a large directory of Excel files to another machine. When I sign in as myself (administrator signing into domain) then the files open just fine, but when I sign in as a Power User directly onto the machine, the files open as 'Read-Only'. I've reset all the attributes through both Windows and DOS, but to no avail. Also I checked on the Search Indexing bug, but indexing is already turned off. Any ideas?

• Forgotten account password

  I kept my passwords recorded but the location on my PC where I kept this went missing. I now can't get into Windows Server 2008 R2 as I can't remember the administrator or named account credentials and have no password reset disk. This is on a VM (VM Player - which btw is temp till I get Hyper-V). How can I get back in? If I make AD can I join the server to AD and then set a domain account?

I've updated drivers and firmware levels without any change. Any other obvious things I should try before engaging my network team and the vendors.

  I want to RDP to Windows 2003 servers, but if I use the default RDP client under Linux, I have only 16 or 256 colors, instead of the 16-bit colors. The display is also very slow. • Ripping sound from online video through soundcard?

  Hello There are a couple of videos on the Web whose soundtracks I'd like to rip so I can listen to them at the gym, but all of the web apps like KeepVid that I tried failed downloading them. As a work-around, I'll just play the videos and record the soundtrack for later listening. • CAS auth fails while migrating wordpress-mu from apache to IIS

  Having an issue migrating a wordpress-mu installation that I have running with cas authentication enabled (using wpcas and phpcas 1.1.0) from apache on an ubuntu machine to IIS on a windows 2008 machine. While CAS authed fine under linux, I'm getting a "CAS Authentication failed! You were no authenticated." page that pops up whenever I enter in a correct login. Anyone know whats up or if there are some logs I can look at to get more info?

• My external keyboard and mouse do not work until I unlock my computer

  In Windows 7, when my laptop comes back from standby, my external mouse and keyboard cannot be used to "login" or "unlock" my station. Once I'm logged in again, they are recognized and work properly. Is this a security feature that I can turn off? Update: My laptop is a Dell XPS-1330M, and the keyboard is made by Dell. The mouse is a simple Microsoft mouse.
