exist for the emailaddress dont update data else create a user and update its profilexml from data fecthed from gedcom. for this i think i need some soln by which i can do only one roundtrip to database and can update all user's xml. or i can execute one sp to get userid from all users where i'll check if user exist then return userid else insert basic data and return inserted userid then for every user make xml from data and update it. please provide be suggestion what is best practice to do this kind of development. if need any more details please write me

  • Does constantly checking the documentation make you a bad coder?

    When writing PHP code for any given project, do you find you can write code off the top of your head? Or do you make multiple round trips to php.net? If it is the later, can you still be considered a good coder. This is a legitimate question as I find I have difficulty always remembering all of the functions that are available to me so I find I use php.net as a crutch. Is there anyway to improve this?

    #!/usr/bin/perl This is the shebang line to a lot of scripts I'm writing lately. Hard coding the path of the binary seems like it could create some problems. For instance, if one of my users has Perl installed at /something_else/bin then they'd have to change all the shebangs. I've seen some tools that will automatically replace the shebangs, but I'm wondering if there is something simpler.

How do I secure the service so that it is not accessible to other users on the same machine? I have already taken the precaution of using a GUID in the Endpoint Address, so there's a little security through obscurity, but I'm looking for a way of locking the service down using ACL or something similar.

I've already looked at the relevant StackOverflow articles like this one and many more and tried my hand at googling the solution but I dont know what I could be doing wrong. The only other thing that I'd like to validate is that I can send/receive e-mails using my username/password with the SMTP server I received from IT (my mail works properly) but I just followed the steps on testing an SMTP server here and everything looks fine http://support.microsoft.com/kb/153119 Anyone have any ideas as to why I'm getting this problem, or how to troubleshoot it further?

I searched google and found a bunch of results about how to embed the python interpreter in applications written in various languages, but nothing for applications writtent in python itself... I don't need to "hide" my code or make a binary like cx_freeze does, i just don't want my users to have to install python to use my app, that's all. Thanks.

    I'm having an annoying :) I use regexes from this: http://forums.codecharge.com/posts.php?post_id=77123 if you enter [url]www.bob.com[/url] it leads too http://localhost/test/www.bobsbar.com So I added before http://$1 in the replacement. That fix it but then [url]http://www.bob.com[/url] will lead to http://http://www.bobsbar.com How would you fix this? I want my users to be able to post links with AND without http:// and i want it to redirect to the site -_- Hope you understand this. Jorm

    I want to use System.Net.Mail.SendAync in an ASP.NET MVC2 application. I see that it throws an InvalidOperationException if there is already a SendAsync call in progress. Does this mean only one SendAsync is allowed per host, or per thread? For example, if I simultaneously have 2 web users from 2 different remote hosts, can each use SendAsync at the same time?

  • ASP.Net MVC Exception Logging combined with Error Handling

    Hi. I am looking for a simple solution to do Exception Logging combined with Error Handling in my ASP.Net MVC 1.0 application. I've read lots of articles, including Questions posted here on StackOverflow, which all provide varying solutions for different situations. I am still unable to come up with a solution that suits my needs. Here are my requirements: To be able to use the [HandleError] attribute (or something equivalent) on my Controller, to handle all exceptions that could be thrown from any of the Actions or Views. This should handle all exceptions that were not handled specifically on any of the Actions (as described in point 2). I would like to be able to specify which View a user must be redirected to in error cases, for all actions in the Controller. I want to be able to specify the [HandleError] attribute (or something equivalent) at the top of specific Actions to catch specific exceptions and redirect users to a View appropriate to the exception. All other exceptions must still be handled by the [HandleError] attribute on the Controller. In both cases above, I want the exceptions to be logged using log4net (or any other logging library). How do I go about achieving the above? I've read about making all my Controllers inherit from a base controller which overrides the OnException method, and wherein I do my logging. However this will mess around with redirecting users to the appropriate Views, or make it messy. I've read about writing my own Filter Action which implements IExceptionFilter to handle this, but this will conflict with the [HandleError] attribute. So far, my thoughts are that the best solution is to write my own attribute that inherits from HandleErrorAttribute. That way I get all the functionality of [HandleError], and can add my own log4net logging.     Hi, I've created a UIView (of type ColumnView) in Interface Builder. Is it possible to add that UIView multiple times to my window? I'm trying to create a UIView template that I can add to my window in a couple of places but can't figure out how to do that. I tried referencing the outlet of that UIView to 2 different IBOutlets but when I add the 2 outlets to my window, it's just treated as a single UIView. Need the UIView to be duplicated. Thanks, Tee

    Any idea why hpricot might segfault on this page? trial_url = 'http://www.controlled-trials.com/ISRCTN56071145/' doc = Hpricot(open(trial_url)) produces: /Users/ap257/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/hpricot-0.8.2/lib/hpricot/parse.rb:33: [BUG] Segmentation fault ruby 1.8.7 (2009-06-08 patchlevel 173) [universal-darwin10.0] Abort trap Please could anyone advise on how I could get around this, or whether it's a bug in hpricot that I should report somewhere?
