  • Visual studio does not show content of files

    http://i41.tinypic.com/1z4bi1c.png Picture says it all, it should currently be showing a file but as you can see its having issues drawing the content of the file. I have unloaded all addons and restart visual studio. If it mathers the previus project was a VS 2k8.

    In an ASP.NET project I have the following HTML: <asp:PlaceHolder ID="plcTitle" runat="server"></asp:PlaceHolder> <div id="divStrapline" runat="server" /> which are populated with this code: if (this.TitlePanel != null) { plcTitle.Controls.Add(this.TitlePanel); } if (this.Strapline != null) { divStrapline.Controls.Add(this.Strapline); } Are they both the same thing? Is either better than the other? Why?

    Some complex subversion merges are coming up in my project: big branches that have been apart for a long time. Svn gives too many conflicts. Would it be any good to use git-svn just for the benefit of making the merge more manageable?     Hi all, Under Hudson, does somebody know how to specify a release tag name in a cvs checkout ? At the moment, i only specify the CVSROOT and modules names to checkout my project in my workspace. I tried to add '-r TAG_NAME' for each module name, but it doesn't work. I think that this functionality exist, so if someone as the right syntax/way to do it.. :) Thanks in advance for your help.     Hi everybody, I've recently started using FDT, for a while I was using FlashDevelop, it had a really handy feature in Compiler options where you can set UseNetworkServices to false which would stop the compiled swf from connecting to the internet and became very useful for running standalone flash apps without security warnings when loading in an external xml file etc. Does anybody know if FDT has a similar function? If there isn't a way, then no worries, I can compile the project in Flash Develop, however it would be best if I can do it from FDT. Cheers guys, Will

  • Optimizing division/exponential calculation

    I've inherited a Visual Studio/VB.Net numerical simulation project that has a likely inefficient calculation. Profiling indicates that the function is called a lot (1 million times plus) and spends about 50% of the overall calculation within this function. Here is the problematic portion Result = (A * (E ^ C)) / (D ^ C * B) (where A-C are local double variables and D & E global double variables) Result is then compared to a threshold which might have additional improvements as well, but I'll leave them another day any thoughts or help would be appreciated Steve
