  • C# encrypt whole XML File

    - by René
I already have a solution for encrypting of several XML nodes or strings. But of course, you can open the local saved XML file and you should see the node tags. For some intelligent people it could be a reference for hidden informations. Is there any way to encrypt and decrypt the whole xml content including all node tags?

  • Multidimensional Array with different types in java

    - by Christian
I want to store a data structure thats a table with one column Strings and another column of Ints. List<Entry<String, Integer>> li = new LinkedList<Entry<String, Integer>>(); would do the job for a list but I would rather have the performance of an array. I tried Entry<String, Integer>[] = new Entry<String, Integer>[10]; but that doesn't seem to work.

  • Regex to check that a character in range doesn't repeat

    - by Aly
Hi, I want to match against Strings such as AhKs & AdKs (i.e. two cards Ah = Ace of Hearts). I want to match two off-suit cards with a regex, what I currently have is "^[AKQJT2-9][hscd]{2}$", but this could match hands such as AhKh (suited) and AhAh. Is there a way to possibly use backreferences to say the second [hscd] cannot be the same as the firs (similarly for [AKQJT2-9])

  • Rails escape_javascript creates invalid JSON by escaping single quotes

    - by Arrel
The escape_javascript method in ActionView escapes the apostrophe ' as backslash apostrophe \', which gives errors when parsing as JSON. For example, the message "I'm here" is valid JSON when printed as: {"message": "I'm here"} But, <%= escape_javascript("I'm here") %> outputs "I\'m here", resulting in invalid JSON: {"message": "I\'m here"} Is there a patch to fix this, or an alternate way to escape strings when printing to JSON?

  • What's the best way to trim std::string

    - by Milan Babuškov
I'm currently using the following code to right-trim all the std::strings in my programs: std::string s; s.erase(s.find_last_not_of(" \n\r\t")+1); It works fine, but I wonder if there are some end-cases where it might fail? Of course, answers with elegant alternatives and also left-trim solution are welcome.

  • How to parse ISO formatted date in python?

    - by Big 40wt Svetlyak
I need to parse strings like that "2008-09-03T20:56:35.450686Z" into the python's datetime? I have found only strptime in the python 2.5 std lib, but it not so convinient. Which is the best way to do that? Update: It seems, that python-dateutil works very well. I have found that solution: d1 = '2008-09-03T20:56:35.450686Z' d2 = dateutil.parser.parse(d1) d3 = d2.astimezone(dateutil.tx.tzutc())

  • Is there a message generator

    - by Jlouro
I don’t want to have my messages to the user stored in the application, or in a resource file. By message I mean, those difficult strings that we have to write to tell the user what is going on or wrong in the application at the precise time. Is there a simple message generator? Simple stuff, but as to handle singular/plural and feminine/masculine.

    - by mongeta
Hello, My app has some languages that the user can change whenever wants. The problem is that always uses the current device language selected, so at least my localizable strings are working as expected, but no matter wich language I set, I'm getting alwats the default selected of the device. Where I have to call this code? [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] registerDefaults: [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObject:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"ca", @"en", nil] forKey:@"AppleLanguages"]]; Currently I'm calling from the AppDelegate implementation file: - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application { Thanks, r.

  • Impact of Multiple .ToUpper()'ing

    - by Kyle Rozendo
Hi All, This is not a question of premature optimization per se. On the garbage collector and memory in general, what would hundreds of ToUpper() operations (many could be duplicated) do to a program, mainly in regard to the immutability of strings? Thanks, Kyle
