  • What happened to the "Run" and "Run On" commands in Visual Studio 2010 Database Projects?

    Hello, I have migrated a database project from VS2008 to VS2010. While in VS08, I used to be able to right-click on a .sql or .cmd file and select a "Run" or "Run On" command from the context menu. In VS2010, though, these menu items seem to have gone away. I have a number of .sql and .cmd scripts that I am used to being able to run directly from the Visual Studio IDE. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Steve

  • Visual Studio 2008 - Focus on textbox doesn't work when run from VS2008 as admin

    This is a minor, esoteric problem and not a showstopper, but I'm wondering what other VS2008 idiosyncrasies are out there. If you make a web app, add a textbox and run a focus function for the textbox on page load, it works when you run VS not as administrator from a Vista non-administrator account or if you run the page from a browser instance run on its own, not from VS. If you browse the page from VS as Admin, the focus doesn't work. This for Cassini and from the local IIS. Stuff like this just makes me trust VS a tad less.

  • SCCM 2012 Clients no longer detecting

    Here is the scenario I had a fully functioning SCCM 2012 site server with the DP, MP, SUP, Application catalog, etc. roles configured and working. There is only one server on this site. Everything was great but i was not happy with SUP, so i decided to create a separate WSUS server and configure Windows Updates through GPOs. That setup worked great as well so i went ahead and removed the SUP role from SCCM and removed the WSUS feature from my SCCM server (they were configured on the same SCCM Server). I did not notice any problems right away. A couple days later i noticed that the OSD deployments were giving errors, and after a couple hours of trying suggestions from Google, i was able to uninstall PXE and make a few changes and reinstall with WDS to get it working again. Again, thought everything was fine and continued on. The last couple days i have noticed that any new machine deployed or installing the Client will show in the SCCM console as "No" Client. The client machines will show connected to a site but the software center shows "IT Organization" instead of our site like the previous clients. The existing clients all seem to be functioning normally. they still receive application distributions and configuration baselines, etc. Reinstalling, uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing does not fix the problems and this happens on all new clients. ClientLocation.log shows it connecting to the correct MP.   • Stackless installation and configuration with DJango

    I am trying to run a DJango Command Extension which uses stackless. I have installed Stackless Python (compiled with python 2.5) so whenever I type python2.5 at the console it fires up indicating that the version is Python 2.5.2 Stackless 3.1b3 060516 (python-2.52:72942, May 26 2009, 23:07:34) [GCC 4.3.3] on linux2 But in my eclipse I have configured my django application to run with python2.6. Specifically in the PyDev settings. So obviously when I mention import stackless it says that there is no such package. The problem is even if I add the '/usr/local/lib/python2.5/site-packages' directory it does not import stackless. What is the solution to this issue ?

I've just installed apache and php from sources using next commands: ./configure --prefix="/mnt/workspace/servers/web/apache-2.2.17" \ --enable-info --enable-rewrite --enable-usertrack --enable-mime-magic for apache and ./configure --with-apxs2=/mnt/workspace/servers/web/apache-2.2.17/bin/apxs \ --prefix=/mnt/workspace/servers/web/apache-2.2.17/php \ --with-config-file-path=/mnt/workspace/servers/web/apache-2.2.17/php \ --with-mysql=mysqlnd for php. After adjusting configuration (httpd.conf) and starting apache it gives a 403 response on http://localhost:8060/index.html (presuming that 8060 is used) request.   • How to set a global before PHPUnit's skeleton-test is run

    We set a global in our prepend file used to form the path for our require_once calls. For example: require_once($GLOBALS['root'].'/library/particleboard/JsonUtil.php'); Problem is, when I run PHPUnit's skeleton test builder, the prepend file is not run, so the global is never set. When I run cd /company/trunk/queue/process; phpunit --skeleton-test QueueProcessView PHPUnit tries to resolve a require_once in QueueProcessView, but since the $GLOBALS['root'] is never set, I get a fatal error when including the required file. For example, to PHPUnit, what should be require_once(/code/trunk/library/particleboard/JsonUtil.php) is resolved as require_once(/library/particleboard/JsonUtil.php) Notice the missing root. Does anyone know if the skeleton-test code has some way to call PHP file before it is run? In this I could set my GLOBAL['root'] in this file. Any other creative solutions would be appreciated.

  • How to determine which source files are required for an Eclipse run configuration

    When writing code in an Eclipse project, I'm usually quite messy and undisciplined in how I create and organize my classes, at least in the early hacky and experimental stages. In particular, I create more than one class with a main method for testing different ideas that share most of the same classes. If I come up with something like a useful app, I can export it to a runnable jar so I can share it with friends. But this simply packs up the whole project, which can become several megabytes big if I'm relying on large library such as httpclient. Also, if I decide to refactor my lump of code into several projects once I work out what works, and I can't remember which source files are used in a particular run configuration, all I can do it copy the main class to a new project and then keep copying missing types till the new project compiles. Is there a way in Eclipse to determine which classes are actually used in a particular run configuration? EDIT: Here's an example. Say I'm experimenting with web scraping, and so far I've tried to scrape the search-result pages of both youtube.com and wrzuta.pl. I have a bunch of classes that implement scraping in general, a few that are specific to each of youtube and wrzuta. On top of this I have a basic gui common to both scrapers, but a few wrzuta- and youtube-specific buttons and options. The WrzutaGuiMain and YoutubeGuiMain classes each contain a main method to configure and show the gui for each respective website. Can Eclipse look at each of these to determine which types are referenced?

    I configured properties for my django project under pydev. I can run the django app under pydev or under console window. I can also run unittest for app under console window. But I have problems to run unittest under pydev. I guess it's something related to run configurations of pydev, so I made several trials, but with no success. Once I got messages like this: ImportError: Could not import settings 'D:\django_projects\MyProject' (Is it on sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named D:\django_projects\MyProject ERROR: Module: MyUnittestFile could not be imported. Another time I got messages like this: ImportError: Could not import settings 'MyProject.settngs' (Is it on sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named settngs 'ERROR: Module: MyUnittestFile could not be imported. I use pydev 1.5.6 on eclipse and windows xp. Any ideas for this problem?

    I would like to move site that uses Zend Framework 2 from Apache to Nginx. The problem is that site have 6 modules, and apache handles it by aliases defined in httpd-vhosts.conf, #httpd-vhosts.conf <VirtualHost _default_:443> ServerName localhost:443 Alias /develop/cpanel "C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_cp/public" Alias /develop/docs/tech "C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_tech_docs/public" Alias /develop/docs "C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_docs/public" Alias /develop/auth "C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_auth/public" Alias /develop "C:/webapps/develop/mil_web_dicom_viewer/public" DocumentRoot "C:/webapps/mil_catele_homepage" </VirtualHost> in httpd.conf DocumentRoot is set to C:/webapps. Sites are avialeble at for example localhost/develop/cpanel. Framework handles further routing. In Nginx I was able to make only one site available by specifing root C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_tech_docs/public; in server block. It works only because docs module don't depend on auth like others, and site was at localhost/. In next attempt: root C:/webapps; location /develop/auth { root C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_auth/public; try_files $uri $uri/ /develop/mil_catele_auth/public/index.php$is_args$args; } Now as I enter localhost/develop/cpanel it gets to correct index.php but can't find any resources (css,js files). I have no Idea why reference paths in browswer's GET requsts changed to https://localhost/css/bootstrap.css form https://localhost/develop/auth/css/bootstrap.css as it was on apache. This root directive seems not working. Nginx handles php by using fastCGI location ~ \.(php|phtml)?$ { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param APPLICATION_ENV production; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } I googled whole day, and found nothing usefull. Can someone help me make this configuration work like on Apache?

  • Unable to run native C++ application on different machine

    Hi, I wrote a simple 'Hello, world' application in C++ using Visual Studio 2008. I am able to run the app successfully on my local machine. BUt when I copy the exe onto another machine and run, it does not run. It gives the error that 'Application has failed to start because application configuration is incorrect'.   • How can I fix puppet refusing to start and asking for "master.pp"?

    I'm using the very latest version of puppet and have been following the Apress "Pro Puppet" guide step by step. I have installed puppet sudo aptitude install ruby libshadow-ruby1.8 sudo aptitude install puppet puppetmaster facter I have edited /etc/puppet/puppet.conf to include certname [master] certname=puppet.mydomain.com I have edited /etc/hosts and added the following line 127.0.0.1 puppet.mydomain.com puppet I have set the hostname of the server echo "puppet.mydomain.com" > /etc/hostname hostname -F /etc/hostname And then I try and run puppet from the command line. puppet master --verbose --no-daemonize And puppet gives me this error: Could not parse for environment production: Could not find file /master.pp I'm running all commands with sudo and the last line of the error message always says that it can't find master.pp and the path before it is to my current working directory. What am I doing wrong? I should also mention that I don't have a DNS record set up for puppet.mydomain.com - I saw some online documentation mentioning this might be a problem - however I was fairly sure that the hosts file would let me get around that.

To solve this, I was trying to develop a plug-in that runs NUnit, which in turn will execute my tests in the application's context.     I asked a similar question to this earlier this week but I'm still not understanding how to get a list of all installed applications and then pick one to run. I've tried: Intent intent = new Intent(ACTION_MAIN); intent.addCategory(CATEGORY_LAUNCHER); and this only shows application that are preinstalled or can run the ACTION_MAIN Intent type. I also know I can use PackageManager to get all the installed applications, but how do I use this to run a specific application? Thanks

So, using the gui, I would go: Start Control Panel Network and Internet Internet Options Connections LAN Settings and then - enable/disable the proxy - define IP:port of proxy server But I would like to rather do this from the command line (so that I can run the command from a batch-file with a shortcut key - enabling me to switch proxy configs using a short-cut, rather than having to wade through the MS wizard). I've looked at using netsh.exe to change the settings for WinHTTP, but this seems to be thr wrong thing to do, as the WinHTTP setting do not appear to be related to the LAN settings. Much appreciated folks.

    A company I work for has a number of virtual servers with ElasticHosts. They are setup in such a way that eth1 is on a private VLAN connecting them to each other. This is so backups sent between servers are not charged at the same rate as external data transfer. My understanding of how VLANs and network interfaces work is sketchy at best. How can I make ssh, rsync, etc. transfer data through the VLAN? My final solution: I spent a while trying to figure this out, For all servers involved, edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1 DEVICE=eth1 BOOTPROTO=static ONBOOT=yes HWADDR=YOUR_MAC_ADDR IPADDR=192.168.0.100 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 Where HWADDR should already be set and the last octate of IPADDR should be different from each other. Then run, on all servers /etc/init.d/network restart After this the IP addresses specified by IPADDR can be used directly as any other IP address.

  • maven project with netbeans compiles fully on every run

    I was experimenting with Netbeans 6.8 (I'm currently an Eclipse user) because I like having a profiler built into the IDE. It seems that for maven projects, netbeans does a full compile (it invokes process-classes) every time I try to run the project, as opposed to Eclipse, which uses the incremental Java compiler. Is there a way to avoid having netbeans run mvn process-classes every time I want to run the main class? thanks, Jeff

    I am running ubuntu Linux 11.10. I have followed the instructions on the site http://jogamp.org/jogl/www/ and downloaded everything with git to $HOME/jogamp and built everything with ant (although I would have prefered the files installed somewhere under /usr/local). I am trying to run a simple application with JOGL found on the Wikipedia site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_OpenGL In order to compile the file I had to add: export CLASSPATH.:$HOME/jogamp/jogl/build/jogl/classes in order to compile the code.
