• Codeigniter - how to use the foreign keys from one table to look for the id's of another table.

  I'm having a problem trying to wrap my head around how to query the database to retrieve the foreign keys in my Nav table and then using those to find the id's in the NavItem table. Can someone point me in the right direction or give me some pointers? i'm not even sure if this should be done in the model or the controller! Thanks in advance

However i now want to add office sharepoint, i didn't want to have it installed first because i was worried that it would stuff with things and i wanted to look back on the TFS installation, once i knew how portals were created. So what is the best way to now add sharepoint to the installation without stuffing things up? i have a 2 server environment, with TFS on one and the database on another.

• How to manually build mysql cache

  I have a table of over 150,000 rows of which most would be updated daily. I have mysql caching turned on so the pages load faster however everytime the database is updated the pages load slow again, which I assume is the cache building itself again. So at the moment I have resorted to doing a wget -m --delete-after http://localhost/ on the server however this takes about 4 hours to complete and moves something like 13 gig. Is there a better way to do this?

However, the CMS editor I'm using will not allow php to be stored to the database (it's the same editor used by Dupral). I can store JavaScript though. Can I import a php file with JavaScript.   Can I assert rails/sinatra apps are initialized only once and all requests share the same app instance? or do new requests spawn new app instances?   Although it does not seem possible, I wanted to put this out there to see if others had some innovative solutions to 'dynamically loading and executing code in python' So if one saved code in a database, one could read it and 'exec it', however if one wanted to use it in a similar fashion to the filesystem, one would need to 'save and load the compiled .pyc' create an 'import dbimp' ala 'import imp' etc. any pointers? ideas? thoughts?
