  • Burn 30GB zip file to DVD

    I have a zip 30GB zip file containing an archive a digital materials available in the school library that I want to burn to dvd. Of course, 30Gb is far too large for a single dvd and the content is already zipped. I'm open to ideas, but leaning towards suggestions that will help me automatically spread the file over multiple dvds, including a simple program to stitch it back together again later.

    hi guys, I want to install netbeans on my freeBSD7.2 machine.I followed the instructions listed in http://typo.submonkey.net/articles/2007/7/13/netbeans-on-freebsd But, when i try the third step, which is running the netbeans using "./netbeans/bin/netbeans" i found the following error "etc/netbeans.cluster" file cann't be found.     i have installed on my server and home server (xampp) memcached with the extions memcache.so / memcache.dll (MemCache) and today i noticed that it gives MEMCACHED too, and i need to run memcached cause of the memcached command "append" which dont supports memcache i googled all the day but didnt find any tut how to install memcached for php (most tuts are for memcache and not for memcached) Can somebody help me with this problem (i want install it on my centos server and on my windows xampp server) My php version is 5x Thank you very much!

    Please look in to the picture,here am trying to open(with vi editor) my server console log file(around 100MB) and it takes more than two minutes to open with so many special characters.after deleting the first line (means typing "dd")then i can easily view the file and size of the file is also reduced very much.My server OS is RHEL 5.4 and jboss is running in to it. Please help me to avoid such junk characters coming to my server console log files and it helps me to save my valuable space in server.

  • Profile pictures are neither displayed or stored in my Status.Net installation

    I am running Status.Net 1.0.1 on my webhosting service. When I subscribe to a remote OStatus account, the avatar is neither displayed nor stored in my avatar/ directory. The INSTALLATION file suggests setting the avatar/, background/ and files/ directories to webserver writeable, but this does not help. Has anybody gotten this to work or could anyone point me in the right direction for a solution?

  • Missing pictures in folder

    I had a folder with some pictures, somehow these pictures are "missing" and I cannot see them anymore. The strange thing is that if I use the "preview" view in Explorer (the one that shows the tiny icons of the folder contents), the folder preview shows these pictures as if they were inside. Once I enter the folder, they are not there anymore. I tried showing hidden files and folders, that doesn't help. Any ideas on how to show or recover those files? I'm using Windows XP.

  • Deleted exchange account still being auto suggested

    I set up a new hire in our domain in exchange. When he arrived yesterday I discovered his name had been mispelled. I deleted his account and created a new account with proper spelling. The problem now is his old email address is being being suggested whenever anyone types in his first name. Users email the bad address get a bounce and create more help desk tickets. Is there a way to update exchange or purge the bad account?

Manually, I would: run screen enter command CTRL+A CTRL+C enter command CTRL+A CTRL+D How can I do this automatically in a script? A simple example would help me a lot. Thank you for replies.

  • Why the selected text is not replaced with inserted in Word 2003?

    I didn't notice what and when happend but from some moment replacing stopped work in Word. Just imagine that I have a text block: Some text block And I select the word text: Some text block After that I press some key, for example, 'A'. And I expect to see Some A block because selected area should be replaced (as usual). But instead of that I see: Some Atext block Inserted text is just appended as prefix. Could anyone help me with this issue, please?

    I am using Centos5 running on a VMWare but whenever I choose to open the User Manager menu from System-Administration, an error message always displays The user database cannot be read. This problem is most likely caused by a mismatch between etc/passwd and /etc/shadow or /etc/group and /etc/gshadow/. The program will now exit. I am a Linux novice and have no idea how to fix this tiny issue. ANy help is thankful. Thank you.

Emails from this server as well as major providers such as gmail, etc., do not suffer these delays. Any help with troubleshooting this issue?   • How to map to Windows Server shares in Linux (Ubuntu) easily?

    I know how to get connected to a Windows share easy enough, and I've read how to change the fstab file to get it to mount at boot. The real question here is...can I create a few shortcuts on a common user desktop so that regardless of who logs into Ubuntu machine they can open that shortcut and it will open the Windows share? I would also need to allow AD credentials during login, so a link to that will help as well, but I'm sure I can search google for that part.
