  • jQuery toggle caching / cookies

    I’m using the jQuery toggle function for my navigation. By default the Authors toggle is visible, the Archives toggle is closed. http://jsfiddle.net/TeDFs/4/ My problem is that when the users switches to another page the toggles reset themselves. For example, when the user closes the Authors toggle and opens the Archive toggle and then navigates to another page the default settings are loaded. I read that it’s possible to store the settings via cookies but I’m absolutely new to jQuery and it would be great if somebody could help me out!   • Setting Up virtualenv with python2.6

    I'm setting up a virtualenv, but it seems to be using python2.5 by default. I'm using this command virtualenv newenv --no-site-packages -p python because the python found on my path is python2.6. I believe this to be true because when I type python and go into the shell, it tells me it's 2.6. When I create the virtualenv with the above command and launch the shell, it tells me I'm in 2.5. Anyone else have this issue?

  • One registry key for many products not deleted on uninstall

    My company has many products, we want to create a registry key Software\$(var.Manufacturer)that will have all of our products if our customers have installed more than one (which is likely) I then want to have a secondary key for each of our products which get removed on uninstall but the main one does not. I have tried to achieve this like below but my main key gets deleted so all of my other products also get deleted from the registry.     I understand the default git behaviour of updating the modification time every time it changes a file, but there are times when I want to restore a file's original modification time. Is there a way I can tell git to do this? (As an example, when working on a large project, I made some changes to configure.ac, found out that autotools doesn't work on my system, and wanted to restore configure.ac's to its original contents and modification time so that make doesn't try to update configure with my broken autotools).

  • Cannot place breakpoint in gdb in emacs

    I'm trying to debug a small program I've written in C. I open up the file in emacs, M-x gdb, give the program filename (a.out). When i switch to the source file in the emacs pane, and try to place a breakpoint in the main function, I get the message "No default breakpoint address now." and the breakpoint doesn't place, so I can't debug the program. I'm compiling the program with the options gcc -Wall -ansi -pedantic-errors -Werror. Any ideas?

And the basic text editor is not good enough (I need at least some syntax highlighting and automatic indenting). Any suggestions?
