  • System of linear equations in C++?

    - by Archagon
I need to solve a system of linear equations in my program. Is there a simple linear algebra library for C++, preferably comprised of no more than a few headers? I've been looking for nearly an hour, and all the ones I found require messing around with Linux, compiling DLLs in MinGW, etc. etc. etc. (I'm using Visual Studio 2008.)

I need to write an user menu for an embedded device (mips linux). The menu has to be accessible from network (web page - AJAX?) and it has to be able to read/write hardware settings. What would be the easiest way to implement such an app/server? Where do I start? PS: c/c++ preferred. PS 2: I have limited resources

  • What's the case when using software licensed under GPL or LGPL

    - by Johnas
With everything legal and in line with the ethical questions in software development, is it allowed to use an open source product in my software that I charge a fee for when selling? Scenario: I've developed an PHP Content Management System (CMS) and use some Linux executables licensed under GPL or LGPL in my CMS to accomplish various tasks like image editing. I'm selling the CMS and also including the executables when I deliver the product. I do not edit the source code of the GPL software, just using it.

  • How can I view live MySQL queries?

    - by barfoon
Hey all, I am just wondering if its possible to trace MySQL queries on my linux server as they happen? For example I'd love to set up some sort of listener, then request a web page and view all of the queries the engine executed, or just view all of the queries being run on a production server. Are there tools to do this? Thank you,

Magento Production version 1.2.1 store running on linux centos. I want to hide all error messages generating from Magento, or if error occurred then I want user to send to custom error page. I tried some solutions like putting Mage::setIsDeveloperMode(true); in index.php but it is not working properly, I even tried to set ini_set('display_errors', 0); but it is still not working. Magento still giving errors like "undefined index"

  • QApplication In Non-Main Thread

    - by Boatzart
I need to exec() a QApplication in a thread that is not main (my GUIs must be plugins that can be dynamically loaded and unloaded at runtime, so I have no access to the main thread). Does anyone know of a (relatively) painless way to hack around Qt's restriction against starting QApplication outside of main? I'm developing in Linux with Qt4 in C++ using gcc4.3.4.

  • Terminology: opposite of "zero copy"?

    - by Mark Harrison
We're benchmarking some code that we've converted to use sendfile(), the linux zero-copy system call. What's the term for the traditional read()/write() loop that sendfile() replaces? I.e., in our report I want to say "zerocopy is X millisecs, and ??? is Y millisecs." What word/phrase should I use?

  • OK Programming language from USB stick with no installation

    - by tovare
I'm looking for a compiler or interpreter for a language with basic math support and File IO which can be executed directly from a memorystick in either Linux or Windows. Built in functionality for basic datastructures and sorting/searching would be a plus. (I've read about movable python, but it only supports windows) Thank you

  • GCC on Cygwin coexisting with MinGW

    - by aplm
It is possible to have two versions of GCC to coexist: the native windows MinGW version and the cygwin linux version? Things get problematic when on Cygwin the system tries to compile with the MinGW version of GCC, and vice versa. How can I keep both versions of GCC?

  • Elf: Dump symbol value in BSS, DATA or RODATA?

    - by noloader
I have a ELF shared object with a symbol initialized to a value. I want to know what the value of a symbol is. I know objdump -T will give me the symbol's address and length but I need the value: $ arm-linux-androideabi-objdump -T libcrypto.so.1.0.0 | grep -i FIPS_signature 001a9668 g DO .bss 00000014 FIPS_signature However, hexdump knows nothing about ELF sections, offsets and virtual addresses, so I can't use the information: $ hexdump -v -x -n 0x14 -s 0x001a9668 libcrypto.so.1.0.0 $ How do I dump the value of the symbol? • A Guide to Windows Hacking for Mac Users?

    - by Carlton Gibson
I am a long-time Mac user looking to gain a decent understanding of Windows. I'm not really interested in the history except as it is still relevant to Windows 7. I'm competent with the Mac and UNIX/Linux environment. I'm live in C, Objective-C, Bash, Python, JavaScript, AppleScript and PHP. As such I want something that is introductory but not aimed at beginners. Can anyone recommend a decent book (or other resource) to get me started? TIA

Other than MongoDB and Memcached, what key-value stores run on Windows? Most of the ones I've seen seem to only run on Linux (Hypertable, Redis, Lightcloud). • ARM Simulator on Windows

    - by Betamoo
I am studying ARM Processors from a textbook... I thought it will be more useful if I could apply what I learn on an ARM simulator... writing code then watching results and different execution stages would be more fun... I have searched for it, but all I could find was either a freeware on linux or a demo on windows Is there a simulator that allow me to see execution steps and different changes for ARM processor (any version!) that runs on windows?? Thanks

  • optimizing any OS for maximum informix client/server performance

    - by Frank Developer
Is there any Informix documentation for optimizing any operating system where an ifx engine is running? For example, in Linux, strip-down to a bare minimum all unnecessary binaries, daemons, utilities, tune kernel parameters, optimize raw and cooked devices (hdparm), place swap space on beginning tracks of a disk, etc. Someday, maybe, Informix can create its own proprietary and dedicated PICK-like O/S to provide the most optimized environment for a standalone ifx server? The general idea is for the OS where ifx sits on have the smallest footprint and lowest overhead impact.
