• Problem with sqlite database on android platform

  hi all i am developing an application which uses sqlite db for storing records. • C socket programming: calling recv() changes my socket file descriptor?

  Hey all, I have this strange problem with recv(). I'm programming client/server where client send() a message (a structure to be exact) and server recv() it. That is fine. But when i call recv(), i suddently becomes 0. Why is that? It doesn't make sense to me why recv() would take an socket file descriptor number and modify to another number. Is that normal? Am I missing something? It is trying to create the schema table using this sql: CREATE TABLE SubSonicSchemaInfo ( version int NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_SubSonicSchemaInfo_version DEFAULT (0) ) Which doesn't work on oracle. The correct sql would be: CREATE TABLE SubSonicSchemaInfo ( version int DEFAULT (0), constraint DF_SubSonicSchemaInfo_version primary key (version) ) The funny thing is that since this is the very first sql executed by subsonic migrations, NOBODY EVER TESTED it on oracle.

• Can't see why JavaMail doesn't work in a Spring MVC application on Tomcat

  I have wrote a small web application using Spring MVC. It runs on tomcat and use the JavaMail library. At the present time I can't find why the mails are not sent. But I have no pertinent log messages in tomcat log files to find where is the problem. At the present time, my logging is configured in a log4j.properties file in the root of my CLASSPATH: log4j.rootLogger= DEBUG, CONSOLE log4j.appender.CONSOLE=org.apache.log4j.ConsoleAppender log4j.appender.CONSOLE.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout log4j.appender.CONSOLE.layout.ConversionPattern=%-4r [%t] %-5p %c %x - %m%n How can i see the java mail log message in debug mode ? I think it is related to JDK logging system (as I'm using Sun's JavaMail) but I don't know how to configure it. Edit: Well, one problem solves and another arises. • Voice Recognition Connection problem

  I,m trying to work through and test a Voice Recognition example based on the VoiceRecognition.java example at http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/ApiDemos/src/com/example/android/apis/app/VoiceRecognition.html but when click on the button to create the activity, I get a dialog that says Connection problem. My Manifest file is using the Internet Permission, and I understand it passes the to the Google Servers. Do I need to do anything else to use this. Code below UPDATE: Ok, I was able to replace my emulator image with one from HTC that appears to come with Google Voice Search, however now when I run from the emulator, i'm getting an Audio Problem message with Speak Again or Cancel buttons. It appears to make it back to the onActivityResult(), but the resultCode is 0. But CHAMADOResponse still have the namespaces declaration. I'm pretty sure that it should not be done like that. In fact, I don't believe that the namespaces are the problem at all. This project has been hard since the begining, as we had to create services that matched legacy wsdl. My question is: is there a way that I could remove all that namespaces declaration from the web service response?

Using a sample from MDSN, I've gotten as far as trying to add the delegate, but after the call to the service binding, I get nothing back...no success or fail....nothing.   OK have just started getting this error and I'm not sure why. I have a hosting page which has listview and a panel with a usercontrol. The listview loads up records with a linkbutton. You click the link button to edit that particular record - which gets loaded up in the formview (within the usercontrol) which goes to edit mode. After an update occurs in the formview I'm triggering an event which my hosting page is listening for. The hosting page then rebinds the listview to show the updated data.   I have a composite drop down calendar user control that consists of a textbox and and calendar image and a validation control. I expose a property called "TextBox" on the usercontrol which returns a reference to the textbox used within the control. This is the textbox that the user enters the date into. In the ASPX page, I have an instance of this usercontrol: <uc1:DropDownCalendar ID="dtmDateFirstEntry" runat="server" Required="True" /> In my code behind, I want to detect when a user has tabbed off of the textbox and, using an UpdatePanel, referesh an appropriate message depending on the date that was specified. I didn't think that the trigger control had to be within the UpdatePanel. I thought that was the whole point of adding the trigger. How do I refresh this update panel changes to the text in the date usercontrol. Next I will have to add other triggers to trigger the refreshing of the Update Panel from other controls scattered across the page, so clearly all of the trigger sources cannot be within the UpdatePanel.

  I am trying to set up WCF service in production. The service has two bindings with two different interfaces. One endpoint (basicHttpBinding) is set up at HTTP and the other endpoint (wsHttpBinding) is set up securely over SSL. I can't get this scenario to work. Everything works with no problem if both endpoints are set up over HTTP. Before I even get into the specifics of errors I get, is is possible to run secure and insecure endpoint over the same service ? • javax.servlet.ServletException - how could i get to the cause?

  Hi, i'm getting a very strange error while opening one of the pages in my web app. The application is built on Seam 2.2 and is using JSF (RichFaces) as a view technology. I run it on Tomcat 6. The error i'm describing doesn't occur on my machine (Mac OS X), but it does on my client's dev machines (Windows) and on the server (Linux Debian). I'm sure i'm running the same version on each system and i have tried connecting to the same database... In logs everything looks fine - each next JSF Phase executes normally, and after the last one, there is this moment when the request starts processing for the SEAM debug page... • Flash Builder missing fundamental things

  All of a sudden Flash Builder 4 is missing all kinds of fundamental things and is generating incorrect errors. I've had the same issue yesterday, where I fixed it by downloading a new Flex SDK and importing that into FB. I did this again, but this time it fixed nothing. I don't think it's something I did, like removing critical references from the build path. The errors also appeared on projects I was not working on at the time. It occurs for ActionScript, Flex and Flex Library projects alike.   On a production server (Windows Server 2003 SP2) I can connect to a remote WCF service with Internet Explorer 8: When I browse to the URL http://www.domain.com/Service.svc (where my service listens) I get the expected info page of the service displayed. Looking around for other options I found that I can specify to use the Internet Explorer proxy settings with: <system.net> <defaultProxy> <proxy usesystemdefault="true" /> </defaultProxy> </system.net> It didn't work and I am not sure if I understood this setting really correctly. (My hope was that the WCF client will adopt the "autodetect" setting of Internet Explorer and then connect the same way to the service like the installed IE.) I also had toggled the useDefaultWebProxy setting in the binding configuration between true and false with no success. Now I am asking for help what I can do? Which settings might be wrong or missing? What could I test and how can I get more detailed error messages to better identify the problem? Thank you in advance!

• Handling Errors from HttpWebRequest.GetResponse

  Hey experts - I'm having a ridiculous time trying to get an SMS API working (ZeepMobile, if you're interested) with .NET... I've been around .NET for a few years, but with all this social networking and API stuff, I need to get into the HttpWebRequest a bit. I'm new at it, but not completely new; I was able to hook up my site to Twitter without too much fuss (ie, I was able to modify someone's code to work for me). Anyways, the way their API works is to send an SMS message, you send them a POST and they respond back to you. I can send it just fine, but every time I do, rather than echo back something helpful to figure out what the error is, I get the Yellow Error Page Of Death (YEPOD) saying something to the effect of "The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request." This occurs on my line: '...creation of httpwebrequest here...' • Solving a difficult incomplete type error

  I get an incomplete type error when trying to compile my code. I know that it is related to includes, but my project is large and it uses several templates so I can't find which type is actually incomplete. So I know that the code itself is OK, the problem is the way I instantiate it. How can I trace the origin of this error? • TTLauncherItem: change badge immediately (or: how to refresh TTLauncherView)

  I have a TTLauncherView with some TTLauncherItems. These show badges, representing messages from the network. I set the badges in viewWillAppear:, so if I switch to another view and then return, the correct badges are shown. But I want to update the badges as soon a message comes in. Calling setNeedsDisplay on TTLauncherView doesn't help?
