    Thanks for taking a look at this. I’ve been looking and looking for a solution to what seems like a simple thing to do but nothing yet. Here goes: When you click on "Specialty" in the main menu it goes here: Home /Specialty When you click one of the product images on the home page it goes here: Home /Specialty /Holiday Satin Stocking (Full product description page) I need all products with full product information to end up at Home /Specialty Page set-up would be: Click on Menu item or an image to show like this: |||Product1||| Product Description Add to cart |||Product2||| Product Description Add to cart |||Product3||| Product Description Add to cart I would like to override going "Home /Specialty /Holiday Satin Stocking" all together with listing all the information here: Home /Specialty "Specialty" is set up as an anchor and all products types are simple.   • Removing index.php on MAMP

    this questions was asked before and has had many responses. The problem is nothing i tried worked. Background: i use MAMP and all of my web project are located under WebProjects which I relocated out of its standard location within the MAMP folder in Applications. so my structure is something like this: Documents/WebProjects/GreatSite/Application/... What happened so far: my understanding is that removing index.php can be done either through httpd.conf or .htaccess. anytime i touched httpd.conf, Apache refuses to start. I tried various edits to .htaccess including the one in codeigniter.com/wiki/mod-rewrite and the last one from a post on SO which is this: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L] this give me the following error when i access the site: An Error Was Encountered Unable to determine what should be displayed. A default route has not been specified in the routing file. I have updated config.php to have $config['index_page'] = ''; and i have placed the .htaccess file in the GreatSite folder. One other note, my CI system folder is up a level from GreatSite. Not sure if this has any impact. also, apache has the module loaded. so, I'm hoping someone has successfully done this on MAMP and could provide direction specifically around the content of their .htaccess (or even httpd.conf), it's location and any other mods they had to make to get this going. thanks

    I have this array: $array = array ( array('1', '2', '3'), array('!', '@'), array('a', 'b', 'c', 'd'), ); And I want to know all character combination of sub arrays.. for example : 1!a 1!b 1!c 1!d 1@a 1@b 1@c 1@d 2!a 2!b 2!c 2!d 2@a 2@b ... Currently I am having this code : for($i = 0; $i < count($array[0]); $i++) { for($j = 0; $j < count($array[1]); $j++) { for($k = 0; $k < count($array[2]); $k++) { echo $array[0][$i].$array[1][$j].$array[2][$k].'<br/>'; } } } It works, but I think it is ugly, and when I am adding more arrays, I have to add more for. I am pretty sure there is a way to do this recursively, but I don't know how to start/how to do it. A little help could be nice! Thanks you!

    Are Zend_Db_Select's where() method, when including the optional value to quite into, and Zend_Db_Adapte's quoteInto() methods basically the same as far as escaping SQL? In other words, are these two pieces of quote identical and equally secure? $select->where($this->getAdapter()->quoteInto('id = ?', 3)); $select->where(id = ?, 3); Thanks!

    i'm using ffmpeg to convert videos to desired formats and to generate the thumbnails.. I want to find the total duration of the video to display in the main page along with the thumbnails.. Can i use ffmpeg to find the duration when its being uploaded and store them on the database.? Is storing the duration in db is necessary or else is there any other method?

  • ID cannot be null (Auto Increment)

    I'm using an INSERT ON DUPLICATE KEY statement for my website. It's for creating news items, so I figured I could use the same MySQL command for both creating and updating news items. However, when I use the following: INSERT INTO table (id,title,content) VALUES(NULL,"Test","Test"); Instead of creating a new auto increment value it throws an error. However, the command works on my main development server. But not on my laptop. Both versions of MySQL are the same, the only difference being MySQL was installed manually on my server, and with WAMP on my laptop. Are there any MySQL Variables that could be causing this?

  • Adding an element to a multidimensional array

    How can I loop through the array below and an element per array, with key "url_slug" and value "foo"? I tried with array_push but that gets rid of the key names (it seems?) Doing a foreach($array as $k = $v) doesn't do it either, I think. The new array should be exactly the same only having 4 elements per array instead of 3, with the key / values above.     I looked for a way to scan database for a specific table. For example i have: Database: system_ultimate Table: system_settings And let us say, that one doesn't know precise name of the table. He only knows, that it is some how connected to word settings. How could he search for that table name then? I understand, that usually people who develop know, what they develop, but I'm trying to get hang of MVC and I'm trying to stay as far away as possible from direct communication with table using the name.   • Dependency Injection: How to pass DB around?

    Edit: This is a conceptual question first and foremost. I can make applications work without knowing this, but I'm trying to learn the concept. I've seen lots of videos with related classes and that makes sense, but when it comes to classes wrapping around other classes, I can't seem to grasp where things should be instantiated/passed around. =-=-=-=-=-=-= Question: Let's say I have a simple page that loads data from a table, manipulates the result and displays it. Simple. I'm going to use '=' for instantiating a class and '-' for passing a class in using constructor injection. It seems to me that the database has to be passed from one end of the application to the other which doesn't seem right. Here's how I would do it if I wanted to separate concerns: index =>Controller =>Model Layer =>Database =>DAO->Database I have this rule in my head that says I'm not supposed to create objects inside other objects. So what do I do with the Database? Or even the Model for that matter? I'm obviously missing something so basic about this. I would love a simplified example so that I can move forward in my code. I feel really hamstrung by this.

Email field is declared unique and if I set it to already existing one, I get the message An object with the same "email" already exist.. I use the following validator: $this->validatorSchema['email'] = new sfValidatorEmail(array('required' => true), array('invalid' => 'Does not seem to be a proper email')); How can I change the "already exists" message?   • Symfony models with foreign keys

    So I have 2 models. Users and Groups. Each group has a user as the creator and a group has many users. The FK of these tables are set up correctly, but I was wondering if there was an easier way to get all related FK objects from other objects. For example, with a group object, is there a built in method to get the user object of the creator? Or for a user, is there a built in method to get all group object that he belongs to? I couldn't find out how to do this with the documentation on the symfony page. From what I see I feel like I need to create methods and use doctrine to access the appropriate tables using the current objects id and so on. Thanks!
