  • How to test custom handler500?

    - by Gr1N
I write my handler for server errors and define it at root urls.py: handler500 = 'myhandler' And I want to write unittest for testing how it works. For testing I write view with error and define it in test URLs configuration, when I make request to this view in browser I see my handler and receive status code 500, but when I launch test that make request to this view I see stack trace and my test failed. Have you some ideas for testing handler500 by unittests?

  • How to print source code lines in python logger

    - by anon
Is there some relatively simple way to programmatically include source code lines to python logger report. For example... import logging def main(): something_is_not_right = True logging.basicConfig(level=logging.DEBUG, format=('%(filename)s: ' '%(levelname)s: ' '%(funcName)s(): ' '%(lineno)d:\t' '%(message)s') ) if something_is_not_right == True: logging.debug('some way to get previous line of source code here?') • django url from another template than the one associated with the view-function

    - by dana
Heyy there, i have an application, and in my urls.py i have something like that: urlpatterns = patterns('', url(r'^profile_view/(?P<id>\d+)/$', profile_view, name='profile_view'),) meaning that the profile_view function has id as a parameter. Now, i want to call that function from another template than the one associated with the def-view that has this url. How should i do that? i have to put two render_to_response to one same function, in order to render the objects from both models? thank you!

    - by xRobot
I am creating a chat like facebook chat... so in views.py of my Chat Application, I need to retrieve only the last messages every 3-4 seconds with ajax poll ( the latency is not a problem for me ). If I can disable some Middlewares and some Request Context in this view, the response will be faster... no ? My question is: Is there a way to disable some Middlewares and some Request Context in some views ?
