  • compile wxWidget on Snow Leopard

    I just downloaded wxWidget source code on my snow leopard machine. The source code is the multiplatform one, so it contains windows and GTK components of wxWidget as well. I'd like to compile the wxWidget source code, but haven't found a good guide yet. This is my first step to create a multiplatform project, hopefully I would be able to use CMake to generate makefile later on. Any help would be appreciated.

    i am wondering because i searched the pdf "xxx the definitive guide" and "beginning xxx" for the word "inheritance" but i didn't find anything? am i missing something? because i am doing a tablePerHierarchy inheritance with hibernate and mysql, does that become deprecated for some reason in xxx? (replace xxx with the "not only sql" database you like)

    Hi, I am wondering what the best way to obtain the current domain is in ASP.NET? For instance: http://www.domainname.com/subdir/ should yield http://www.domainname.com http://www.sub.domainname.com/subdir/ should yield http://sub.domainname.com As a guide, I should be able to add a url like "/Folder/Content/filename.html" (say as generated by Url.RouteUrl() in ASP.NET MVC) straight onto the URL and it should work.

    I am using my gmail's email account to send emails in asp.net website. It works fine on hosting server but it donot works if I try to sent email on loclserver. Please guide me what I should do to make it sending emails even on localserver ? Do I need to install some smtp server on my local machine ? I have not installed any smtp server on my machine. How and where from I can get smtp server and kindly also guide how I can do its setting to use on local machine.     I'm trying to localize a Windows 8 Metro style app as described in a guide on MSDN. This worked very well so far, but now I'm trying to localize a string containing a non-breaking space which appears in a XAML file (originally as hexadecimal xml-escaped string: &#x00a0). Just putting the above string into the Resources.resw file does not work, it appears just as &#x00a0. What do I have to do to get a non-breaking space in my localizations?

    I'm uploading some audio to soundcloud, but would like to add the audio to a specific playlist i have also created, without making an extra request (see "Adding Sounds to a Set" http://developers.soundcloud.com/docs/api/guide#uploading). Is it possible to upload directly to a playlist? Alternatively, I could send an extra request to add the track to the playlist but how would you do this in AS3. I see examples for JavaScript but am unsure how this would work in Flash.
