• good PCI-e Wireless card for Windows7?

  Hi I've just build a 64bit Windows 7 PC but am unhappy with the piddly performance of the linksys USB wireless dingle I've used. Can anyone suggest a good PCIe alternative that will be stronger for connection and maybe faster. I dont see why my desktop should show a weaker performance on wireless than my laptop when its sat next to it or even my Palm Pre for that matter. any thoughts? Using "only" 100Mbit (12.5MB/sec) is slow: I get max 10MB/sec, no matter what protocol is used (SSHFS, SMB, ...). Of course, it's the overhead. What kind of alternative and non-expensive hardware would you suggest, which would allow much higher transfer speeds?

  I'm running Ubuntu in a virtual machine (host machine is Windows 7). Is it possible to use Fiddler in the host machine to capture the traffic from the virtual machine? Seeing as the virtual machine's network must be passing through the host computers NIC, can Fiddler capture the packets? (I don't know of any free alternative to Fiddler for Linux, except Tamper Data, but I need a bit more control). Thanks.

  For example what is the alternative to this command without quotation marks: CD "c:\Documents and Settings" The full reason I don't want to use quotation marks is that this command DOES work: SVN add mypathname\*.* but this command DOES NOT work : SVN add "mypathname\*.*" The problem being when I change mypathname for a path with spaces in it I need to quote the whole thing. For example: SVN add "c:\Documents and Settings\username\svn\*.*" But when I try this I get the following error message: svn: warning: 'c:\Documents and Settings\username\svn\*.*' not found

  An application I use regularly is command-line based, and I would like to add the most used commands in the Windows Explorer's context menu that pops up when right-clicking on a file or folder.   I've tried converting a PEM-encoded key to DER format, and it appears the password is stripped regardless of the -passout argument. Example: openssl rsa -in tmp.pem -outform DER -out tmp.der -passin pass:foo -passout pass:bar -des3 The resulting key appears no longer password-protected, so I am assuming that DER format does not support a password - is that correct? What alternative way is there to store this in a compact, binary form, and keep the password-protection?

  i have found tutorials on their official forum and on the internet about how to make a truecrypt rescue bootable usb stick. I'm guessing anyone who can answer will know what that is already, but it is basically just a way to boot into the system using a usb stick instead of a DVD.
