  • SSI includes not working on Debian with Apache

    - by Mike
    I'm trying to get SSI to work on Debian running Apache, however the .shtml files are not being parsed. From a PHP file with phpinfo() I can see that the following show up in the loaded modules section: mod_mime_xattr mod_mime mod_mime_magic In /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/mime.conf I have (among other things): AddType text/html .shtml AddOutputFilter INCLUDES .shtml In /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/domain.com.conf (for the virtual host in question) I have: <Directory /home/username/public_html> Options +Includes allow from all AllowOverride All </Directory> and for good measure, I added the following as well: <Directory /> Options +Includes </directory> In the user's .htaccess file, I tried adding: Options +Includes AddType text/html shtml AddHandler server-parsed shtml Nothing seems to work. How can I even debug this? Edit: Here is the output of ls /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/ in case this helps actions.conf dav_svn.load proxy_balancer.load actions.load deflate.conf proxy.conf alias.conf deflate.load proxy_connect.load alias.load dir.conf proxy_http.load auth_basic.load dir.load proxy.load auth_digest.load env.load python.load authn_file.load fcgid.conf reqtimeout.conf authz_default.load fcgid.load reqtimeout.load authz_groupfile.load mime.conf rewrite.load authz_host.load mime.load ruby.load authz_user.load mime_magic.conf setenvif.conf autoindex.conf mime_magic.load setenvif.load autoindex.load mime-xattr.load ssl.conf cgi.load negotiation.conf ssl.load dav_fs.conf negotiation.load status.conf dav_fs.load php5.conf status.load dav.load php5.load suexec.load dav_svn.conf proxy_balancer.conf

  • Cisco 891w multiple VLAN configuration

    - by Jessica
I'm having trouble getting my guest network up. I have VLAN 1 that contains all our network resources (servers, desktops, printers, etc). I have the wireless configured to use VLAN1 but authenticate with wpa2 enterprise. The guest network I just wanted to be open or configured with a simple WPA2 personal password on it's own VLAN2. I've looked at tons of documentation and it should be working but I can't even authenticate on the guest network! I've posted this on cisco's support forum a week ago but no one has really responded. I could really use some help. So if anyone could take a look at the configurations I posted and steer me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful. • Setting up a network e-mail server

    - by Jason
Hello, My boss just asked me to buy a new server for our office network. I know next to nothing about servers and networking, so I need someone to point me in the right direction. He said he wants this to be our e-mail server with a network login. I have no idea how to set up an e-mail server, especially one that sends/receives e-mail using our domain name. We use a terrible piece of order/inventory software called Mail Order Manager (MOM). Our computers currently connect to the MOM database through a networked drive. My boss would like to move away from this peer-to-peer MOM setup. The software publisher offers a SQL version of MOM, but it's way overpriced. Is there a better way to connect to these databases without using the SQL version? Finally, the server needs to be running Windows. Does this question make sense, is it possible, and can someone help me get started? Thanks!

  • Citrix Performance monitoring

    - by Dr I
Hi people, I has a strange thing which appears on my Citrix Farm today. My users are equiped with a Thin client Axel Model 80F, and today, one of them sustained a problem on it. He opened a citrix's Publish Desktop session (Host by a farm of Windows 2003 R2 SP2 Servers), he loaded Lotus Notes and a mail who contained an PDF attached file. Once he has opened his PDF File, his session has freezed. We've just reboot the Thin Client, and log in again on the session (which hasn't been closed during the process). Once we have log in again, we try to read the pdf and once again afer half a page the session freeze again (I can see the mouse moving on the screen but can make anything). Then I close the session, reboot correctly the thin client, and "Tada" with the same manipulationsn averything is correct and we don't facing any freeze. Well Now my question is: Is that bug came from the thin client or the server about you? I've checked on my farm and I don't have any alert from the Citrix's Monitoring console logs. According to me it's due to the Thin Client BUT I ddon't have enought monitoring tools to be sure of that. So do you have some quite godd monitoring tools or method? My config: Windows 2003 R2 SP2 Citrix Xenapp 5.0

  • How do I locate the app generating this network traffic?

    - by Christopher Bartels
I don't know what this process is doing on my computer. I run Windows 7 Professional w/ all its updates running current non-free antivirus. I only see it in Resource Monitor, where you can see the Network Service process connected to bitum.nnov.ru. When my PC's network traffic generating apps are idle, this process is using the most of all the idle processes using the network. Screenshot hosted here: http://sss.proinbox.com/bitum-nnov-ru.jpg Does anyone recognize this? The page source mentions a control port & a stream port: Page Source for http://bitum.nnov.ru : <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <title>DVR WebViewer</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=euc-kr"> </head> <body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0"> <OBJECT classid="clsid:EE479A40-C128-40DD-93DA-000556AF9607" codebase="CtrWeb.cab#version=1,0,2,2" width=875 height=585 align=center hspace=0 vspace=0 > <param name="CmdPort" value="5920"> <param name="StreamPort" value="5921"> </body> </html> When I google this page's title, I see a number of other domains that host the same page. • Automount in Ubuntu 9.10

    - by easyrider
Hi, By default Ubuntu doesn't mount internal NTFS hard drives automatically. A fstab solution not working properly, because of conflicts with the "intelligent" mount system. If I add my hd in fstab and reboot - it will be mounted. But if I go to nautilus, open places panel and click eject button (unmount) and than click on hd again to mount it, I will get an error. In 9.04 to solve this problem you need to modify hal rules in /etc/hal/... preferences.fdi in my case I modified it for only one drive. <device> - <match key="storage.hotpluggable" bool="false"> - <match key="storage.removable" bool="false"> <merge key="storage.automount_enabled_hint" type="bool">false</merge> - <match key="storage.model" string="ST3250310NS"> <merge key="storage.automount_enabled_hint" type="bool">true</merge> </match> </match> </match> </device> But this is not working in 9.10 - devs removed this function from hal to devkit-disk or udev? I don't know. Could you please tell me where automount rules are stored in 9.10? And how to create new rules, and what program controls automount in 9.10?

  • Easiest way to allow direct HTTPS connection in Intercept mode?

    - by Nick Lin
I know the SSL issue has been beaten to death I'm using DNS redirect to force my clients to use my intercept proxy. As we all know, intercepting HTTPS connection is not possible unless I provide a fake certificate. What I want to achieve here is to allow all HTTPS requests connect directly to the source server, thus bypassing Squid: HTTP connection Proxy by Squid HTTPS connection Bypass Squid and connect directly I spent the past few days goolging and trying different methods but none worked so far. I read about SSL tunneling using the CONNECT method but couldn't find any more information on it. I tried a similar method in using RINETD to forward all traffic going through port 443 of my Squid back to the original IP of www.pandora.com. Unfortunately, I did not realize all other HTTPS requests are also forwarded to the IP of www.pandora.com. For example, https://www.gmail.com also takes me to https://www.pandora.com Since I'm running the Intercept mode, the forwarding needs to be dynamic and match each HTTPS domain name with proper original IP. Can this be done in Squid or iptables? Lastly, I'm directing traffic to my Squid server using DNS zone redirect. For example, a client requests www.google.com, my DNS server directs that request to my Squid IP, then my transparent Squid will proxy that request. Will this set up affect what I'm trying to achieve? I tried many methods but couldn't get it to work. Any takes on how to do this?

  • How to know if your computer is hit by a dnschanger virus?

    - by kira
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is on the final stage of its Operation Ghost Click, which strikes against the menace of the DNSChanger virus and trojan. Infected PCs running the DNSChanger malware at unawares are in the danger of going offline on this coming Monday (July 9) when the FBI plans to pull down the online servers that communicate with the virus on host computers. After gaining access to a host PC, the DNSChanger virus tries to modify the DNS (Domain Name Server) settings, which are essential for Internet access, to send traffic to malicious servers. These poisoned web addresses in turn point traffic generated through infected PCs to fake or unsafe websites, most of them running online scams. There are also reports that the DNSChanger virus also acts as a trojan, allowing perpetrators of the hack attack to gain access to infected PCs. Google issued a general advisory for netizens in May earlier this year to detect and remove DNSChanger from infected PCs. According to our report, some 5 lakh PCs were still infected by the DNSChanger virus in May 2012. The first report of the DNSChanger virus and its affiliation with an international group of hackers first came to light towards the end of last year, and the FBI has been chasing them down ever since. The group behind the DNSChanger virus is estimated to have infected close to 4 million PCs around the world in 2011, until the FBI shut them down in November. In the last stage of Operation Ghost Click, the FBI plans to pull the plug and bring down the temporary rogue DNS servers on Monday, July 9, according to an official announcement. As a result, PCs still infected by the DNSChanger virus will be unable to access the Internet. How do you know if your PC has the DNSChanger virus? Don’t worry. Google has explained the hack attack and tools to remove the malware on its official blog. Trend Micro also has extensive step-by-step instructions to check if your Windows PC or Mac is infected by the virus. The article is found at http://www.thinkdigit.com/Internet/Google-warns-users-about-DNSChanger-malware_9665.html How to check if my computer is one of those affected?

  • Troubleshooting transient Windows I/O "The parameter is incorrect." errors

    - by Kevin
We have a set of .Net 2.0 applications running on Windows 2003 servers which have started experiencing transient "The parameter is incorrect." Windows I/O errors. These errors always happen accessing a file share on a SAN. The fact that this error has happened with multiple applications and multiple servers leads me to believe that this is an infrastructure issue of some sort. The applications all run under the same domain account. When the errors occur they generally will resolve themselves within a few minutes. I can log in to the application server once the error starts occurring and access the file share myself with no problems. I have looked at the Windows event logs and haven't found anything useful. Due to the generic nature of "The parameter is incorrect.", I am looking for additional troubleshooting suggestions for this error. A sample stack trace is below. Note that while this example was during a directory creation operation, when the problem is occurring, this exception is thrown for any file system operations on the share. Exception 1: System.IO.IOException Message: The parameter is incorrect. Method: Void WinIOError(Int32, System.String) Source: mscorlib Stack Trace: at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path)

  • SSH Tunnel for Remote Desktop via Intermediary Server Part II

    - by Mihai Todor
I asked previously how to configure 2 SSH tunnels using an intermediary server in order to run Remote Desktop through them and I managed to make it work. Now, I'm trying to do the same, using the same machines, but in reverse order. Here's the setup: Windows 7 PC in a private network, sitting behind a firewall. Public access Linux server, which has access to the PC. Windows 7 laptop, at home, on which I wish to do Remote Desktop from the PC. I use Putty on the laptop to create a reverse tunnel from it to the Linux server: R60666 localhost:3389. I use Putty on the PC to create a regular tunnel from it to the Linux server: L60666 localhost:60666. I SSH to the Linux sever and I run telnet localhost 60666 and it seems to produce the expected output, as described in the debugging tips that I received here. I try to connect Remote Desktop from the PC to the laptop: localhost:60666. It asks for my username and password, I click OK and it locks my current session on the laptop (so I see the welcome screen on the laptop instead of my desktop), it shows the "Welcome" message in the Remote Desktop screen and then it just goes black. It doesn't disconnect, it doesn't provide any error and I'm not able to perform any actions in the Remote Desktop screen. I tried the same setup with a Windows XP laptop and I'm experiencing the same symptoms. I also tried to use different ports than 60666, but nothing changed. Does anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Update: As pointed out by @jwinders, I'm not able to run telnet PC 3389 from the Linux server directly. Since Windows Firewall has a rule to allow all connections on port 3389, I have no idea what is blocking it. Fortunately, I'm able to create a SSH tunnel from the Linux machine to the PC ssh 3389:localhost:3389 'domain\user'@PC.

  • mdadm cron job sends email that cron has run

    - by Andrew
I've got an Ubuntu 8.04 server using mdadm to create several RAID1 arrays. I created /etc/cron.hourly/mdadm as follows: #! /bin/sh set -e mdadm --monitor /dev/md0 /dev/md3 /dev/md4 --oneshot (Yes, the array numbers are not sequential, and I'm not using --scan beacuse I have a degraded array that may or may not have been used as swap and I can't delete, but I think that's a separate issue. If it's the underlying cause of this, I need to fix it.) mdadm sends me email (configured in the /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf) on DegradedArray etc. events. This is the desired behaviour. What is not desired, and I can't work out, is why cron is sending me (relatively pointless) emails, via an alias in /etc/aliases: From: root@<hostname> (Cron Daemon) To: root@<hostname> Subject: Cron <root@<hostname>> cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.hourly Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ANSI_X3.4-1968 X-Cron-Env: <SHELL=/bin/sh> X-Cron-Env: <PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin> X-Cron-Env: <HOME=/root> X-Cron-Env: <LOGNAME=root> Message-Id: <id@hostname> Date: Fri, 7 May 2010 13:17:01 +0930 (CST) /etc/cron.hourly/mdadm: mdadm: Monitor using email address "<root_alias@domain>" from config file I've got a dozen other servers behaving correctly (mdadm sends email, cron doesnt') with identical /etc/crontab files: # /etc/crontab: system-wide crontab # <snip comments> SHELL=/bin/sh PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin # m h dom mon dow user command 17 * * * * root cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.hourly <snip anacron jobs> Should I simply remove the --report, or is there something else in my cron config somewhere causing this?

I am working with my school to customize Windows 7 on some new laptops we are receiving. The laptops come with Windows 7 Professional already installed, and we do not need or want to reimage them. We would however like to customize the installation once it is in place, through a series of scripts. We will also be deploying these scripts to computers which have already been set up. Most of the settings we wish to change can be done easily from the command line or with a registry file. However, there is one thing we keep getting hung up on: networking options. Is there any unattended way to set the Windows 7 networking configuration? We would like to set the following things automatically, which are found under Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Advanced sharing settings > Home or Work network: Turn on network discovery Turn on printer and file sharing Turn off public folder sharing Turn on password protected sharing Use user accounts and passwords to connect to other computers We also need to configure the firewall to allow the following exceptions: File and printer sharing Remote assistance Remote desktop Remote scheduled tasks management Remote service management Windows remote management I've looked around, and can't find any way to change these things - I looked into netsh, registry settings, and even used RegMon to watch while I changed the values manually, all to no avail. Google hasn't offered up anything helpful so far. If anyone could provide some insight, I would very much appreciate it. I did find out that much of this is configurable with group policy, but because these computers are in a workgroup, not a domain, I don't know of any way to take advantage of that in an unattended manner.

  • How can I fix my corrupted RAID1 ext4 partition on a Synology DS212 NAS?

    - by Neil
I have two identical 3 TB disks that were in a RAID1 array, where one disk crashed. I replaced the failed disk, but not after the RAID partitions got messed up. I need to figure out how to restore the RAID array and get at my ext4 partition. Here are the properties of the surviving disk: # fdisk -l /dev/sda fdisk: device has more than 2^32 sectors, can't use all of them Disk /dev/sda: 2199.0 GB, 2199023255040 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 267349 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 1 267350 2147483647+ ee EFI GPT # parted /dev/sda print Model: ATA ST3000DM001-9YN1 (scsi) Disk /dev/sda: 3001GB Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B Partition Table: gpt Disk Flags: Number Start End Size File system Name Flags 1 131kB 2550MB 2550MB ext4 raid 2 2550MB 4698MB 2147MB linux-swap(v1) raid 5 4840MB 3001GB 2996GB raid I replaced the failed drive, and cloned the surviving drive to it so I have something to work with. • MS SQL - Problem running SQL Server Agent Job via service account credentials

    - by molecule
There are 5 steps in this job. First job is an SSIS Package store, second to fifth are file system jobs. We configured all jobs to use Windows Authentication. Under Run As, we specified a user account which was created under SecurityCredentials and SQL Server AgentProxiesSSIS Package execution. The job runs without any problems with this user account. We then proceeded to configure the job to use a service account instead. Service account was specified under SecurityCredentials and SQL Server AgentProxiesSSIS Package Execution. • kvm works only when kvm-intel is unloaded

    - by Sathya
I am new to kvm. I have this strange issue. But before explaining the issue, here is my set up. I try to install VM on my Host which is a Acer Laptop 5720 Has T7500 Intel processor. The cpu flags indicate that Virtualization is supported. I run Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) on it. It comes with kvm. Now coming to the issue - I dont get any errors while executing "sudo modprobe kvm-intel". So I presume my processor does indeed support hardware virtualization. I use virt-manager and create a VM on which I install ubuntu from an *.iso file. When I start the VM it says it is running. No signs of any trouble. I can see the domain list in "virsh list". But when I try to connect to the VM thru VNC, all I get to see is a blank screen (no cursor). There is no response to any key press. I changed the video mode etc. Tried all different combinations but none work. But strangely, if I shutdown the vm an virt-manager and then unload the module by doing "sudo modprove -r kvm-intel", everything works fine. ie., I can see the screen via VNC. I am able to install the OS and so on. So what does this mean ? IS hardware virtualization not supported ? How come there is no error anywhere ? dmesg | grep kvm doesnt report anything. Can someone throw light on what excatly is happening ?

  • Which httpd.conf and php.ini files does plesk use

    - by Saif Bechan
If i disable the include_path in /etc/php.ini, i can still see that there is an include path loaded from somewhere. I want to know where this file is. If i use phpinfo(); on my domain i get that there is a include path /usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php, even though in the php.ini i used: ;inlucde_path=".:" In the section for aditional php.ini files this is the list: /etc/php.d/curl.ini, /etc/php.d/dbase.ini, /etc/php.d/dom.ini, /etc/php.d/gd.ini, /etc/php.d/imap.ini, /etc/php.d/json.ini, /etc/php.d/mbstring.ini, /etc/php.d/mysql.ini, /etc/php.d/mysqli.ini, /etc/php.d/pdo.ini, /etc/php.d/pdo_mysql.ini, /etc/php.d/pdo_sqlite.ini, /etc/php.d/wddx.ini, /etc/php.d/xmlreader.ini, /etc/php.d/xmlwriter.ini, /etc/php.d/xsl.ini, /etc/php.d/zip.ini I have checked all these files but i can nowhere find a reference to pear. This said the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file is questioning to me too. If i check this file i can see the following values are defined. DocumentRoot "/var/www/html" <Directory /> Order Deny,Allow Deny from all Options None AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory "/var/www/html"> Options None AllowOverride None Order allow, deny Allow from all </Directory> The strange thing is that i don't even use this directory, so where does plesk get his httpd.conf file from. I want to check if everything is ok, because my vhost.conf is not working. I don't know if i should change these values or not, and where i can find the values plesk uses. i hope someone can help me with this.

  • Debugging UI Problems in IE8 (Was IE8 on Windows 7 Authentication Mess)

    - by alharaka
UPDATE: I think the real question I need to ask here is: how does a technician debug UI problems with Internet Explorer, and not HTML rendering issues that have pretty good tools? I am aware of the SysInternals tools and others mentioned below, but maybe I am not harnessing their power properly. Someone else in the TechNet forum I mentioned had a similar issue. Again, I have lots of data, I am not sure how to properly interpret it. ORIGINAL POST: So I tried the venerable Technet Forums to solve this isse. In short, the Windows Security dialog has no place to put credentials, rendering pretty much useless. This happens to apply for a whole bunch of our intranet websites, and only a select number of users with a few laptops have this problem. It ends up looking like this. Things I have tried so far: Disabling local Group Policy (not domain connected) Disabling local Security Policy Resetting IE settings A few system restores Re-registering a bunch of IE DLL's and all other steps here Reinstalling IE8 (dism /online /disable-feature /featurename:"internet-explorer-optional-x86, reboot, dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:"internet-explorer-optional-x86, and reboot) And SFC scan, which found nothing Still, nothing. Not only am I fed up, but I have begun to really work with APIExplorer and Procmon as mentioned in the Technet original because I want to know WHAT is happening, not just fix it. Any thoughts?

  • Exchange 2007 restore - Backup Exec Unable to Attach to a resource

    - by Andy
I have been struggling with this one for months! Grateful for any advice. The setup is a windows 2003 server network, 4xservers on the domain. Two exchange 2007 servers (only one with mailboxes still on). Backup Exec (12.5) on a non-exchange server with agents on the others. Backup exec runs a full backup of exchange across the network well, at pretty reasonable speeds. However, when you try any kind of restore (individual emails, mailboxes or whole system restore - all to same location or to alternate server, RSG etc) the following message is received within about 10-15 secs of starting the job: Job ended: 24 December 2010 at 13:28:32 Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource. • Kerberos & signle-sign-on for website

    - by Dylan Klomparens
I have a website running on a Linux computer using Apache. I've employed mod_auth_kerb for single-sign-on Kerberos authentication against a Windows Active Directory server. In order for Kerberos to work correctly, I've created a service account in Active Directory called dummy. I've generated a keytab for the Linux web server using ktpass.exe on the Windows AD server using this command: ktpass /out C:\krb5.keytab /princ HTTP/[email protected] /mapuser [email protected] /crypto RC4-HMAC-NT /ptype KRB5_NT_PRINCIPAL /pass xxxxxxxxx I can successfully get a ticket from the Linux web server using this command: kinit -k -t /path/to/keytab HTTP/[email protected] ... and view the ticket with klist. I have also configured my web server with these Kerberos properties: <Directory /> AuthType Kerberos AuthName "Example.com Kerberos domain" KrbMethodK5Passwd Off KrbAuthRealms EXAMPLE.COM KrbServiceName HTTP/[email protected] Krb5KeyTab /path/to/keytab Require valid-user SSLRequireSSL <Files wsgi.py> Order deny, allow Allow from all </Files> </Directory> However, when I attempt to log in to the website (from another Desktop with username 'Jeff') my Kerberos credentials are not automatically accepted by the web server. It should grant me access immediately after that, but it does not. The only information I get from the mod_auth_kerb logs is: kerb_authenticate_user entered with user (NULL) and auth_type Kerberos However, more information is revealed when I change the mod_auth_kerb setting KrbMethodK5Passwd to On: [Fri Oct 18 17:26:44 2013] [debug] src/mod_auth_kerb.c(1939): [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] kerb_authenticate_user entered with user (NULL) and auth_type Kerberos [Fri Oct 18 17:26:44 2013] [debug] src/mod_auth_kerb.c(1031): [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Using HTTP/[email protected] as server principal for password verification [Fri Oct 18 17:26:44 2013] [debug] src/mod_auth_kerb.c(735): [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Trying to get TGT for user [email protected] [Fri Oct 18 17:26:44 2013] [debug] src/mod_auth_kerb.c(645): [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Trying to verify authenticity of KDC using principal HTTP/[email protected] [Fri Oct 18 17:26:44 2013] [debug] src/mod_auth_kerb.c(1110): [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] kerb_authenticate_user_krb5pwd ret=0 [email protected] authtype=Basic What am I missing? I've studied a lot of online tutorials and cannot find a reason why the Kerberos credentials are not allowing access.

  • Mapping printers using Group Policy Preferences; works on Windows XP, not on Windows 7 x64

    - by Graeme Donaldson
I'm trying to use Group Policy Preferences to manage user connections to shared printers. The print server is Windows Server 2003 R2 Std edition. Several printers are installed, and I've added x64 editions of all the drivers to the print server as well. I've created a new GPO containing the printer preference settings. Printer mappings are targeted based on AD security group membership. I log on to a Windows XP PC with the Group Policy CSEs installed and the printer maps perfectly. I log on to a Windows 7 x64 PC and it doesn't map. If I manually connect to the shared printer, I get a prompt which asks me to confirm if I trust the server before installing the driver, and then it works perfectly. I have domain admin rights and my UAC settings have not been changed from the default, i.e. UAC is enabled and the default level is selected. Is the printer mapping failing because it's unable to prompt me to install the driver, or is there something else afoot?

  • Getting AWStats to work in Ubuntu 12.04

    - by koogee
I'm new to apache and i'm trying to set up AWStats on my ubuntu 12.04 server. I've followed the guide at Ubuntu docs https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AWStats I set it up according to the instructions and awstats is able to generate initial stats from apache log successfully. I placed the links to awstats in the default virtual host file. However when I try to run http://server-ip-address:8080/awstats/awstats.pl, I get: Error: SiteDomain parameter not defined in your config/domain file. You must edit it for using this version of AWStats. Setup ('/etc/awstats/awstats.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong. Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory). Any guidance would be welcome.

  • SCCM 2012 - some remote clients unable to download some applications, 401.2 error

    - by growse
I've got a small SCCM 2012 deployment with about 35 clients attached. Most of these clients are in the same network as the single SCCM host, but three are about 1000 miles away. Oddly, these three clients have stopped being able to download some application packages over BITS. Publishing a new package works for all the other clients, but for these three it never seems to download. If I go to the software centre, it just hangs at "0% downloaded". On the client, the DataTransfer.log says (repeatedly): CDTSJob::HandleErrors: DTS Job '{2DCBBB4C-6D84-479A-9218-885B72C834B9}' BITS Job '{E78147DD-4A26-4942-B4FD-6EC3EB77EECD}' under user 'S-1-5-18' OldErrorCount 442 NewErrorCount 443 ErrorCode 0x80072EE2 DataTransferService 30/07/2012 09:27:41 2964 (0x0B94) CDTSJob::HandleErrors: DTS Job ID='{2DCBBB4C-6D84-479A-9218-885B72C834B9}' URL='http://sccm-host:80/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/Content_3e7f6982-6346-4f27-ae00-ad5dcb391455.1' ProtType=1 DataTransferService 30/07/2012 09:27:41 2964 (0x0B94) Cas.log says (repeatedly): Location update from CTM for content Content_3e7f6982-6346-4f27-ae00-ad5dcb391455.1 and request {AD041FCB-03D2-4FE6-A6FA-38A6B80FB2A1} ContentAccess 30/07/2012 08:33:39 5048 (0x13B8) Download location found 0 - http://lonsbrndsccm02.mcs.int.thomsonreuters.com/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/Content_3e7f6982-6346-4f27-ae00-ad5dcb391455.1 ContentAccess 30/07/2012 08:33:39 5048 (0x13B8) Download request only, ignoring location update ContentAccess 30/07/2012 08:33:39 5048 (0x13B8) On the server, I've enabled failed request log tracing. The failed request log is large, but the punchline is that it chucks out a Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. message. All clients are members of the same domain and appear to be (otherwise) working great. I've re-installed the SCCM client, deleted and re-added the computer to SCCM. Some other packages seem to work fine, the daily anti-malware delta gets downloaded and patched without issue. Why are these packages failing?

  • Nginx as a proxy to Jetty

    - by user36812
Pardon me, this is my first attempt at Nginx-Jetty instead of Apache-JK-Tomcat. I deployed myapp.war file to $JETTY_HOME/webapps/, and the app is accessible at the url: http://myIP:8080/myapp I did a default installation of Nginx, and the default Nginx page is accessible at myIP Then, I modified the default domain under /etc/nginx/sites-enabled to the following: server { listen 80; server_name mydomain.com; access_log /var/log/nginx/localhost.access.log; location / { #root /var/www/nginx-default; #index index.html index.htm; proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8080/myapp/; } error_page 500 502 503 504 /50x.html; location = /50x.html { root /var/www/nginx-default; } } Now I get the index page of mypp (running in jetty) when I hit myIP, which is good. But all the links are malformed. eg. The link to css is mydomain.com/myapp/css/style.css while what it should have been is mydomain.com/css/style.css. It seems to be mapping mydomain.com to 127.0.0.1:8080 instead of 127.0.0.1:8080/myapp/ Any idea what am missing? Do I need to change anything on the Jetty side too?

  • Windows Server 2008 DHCP with RRAS

    - by Guillermo Prandi
I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 which is a member of a domain, but is placed in a remote location. The server is directly connected to Internet. Clients need to access a particular insecure TCP service in this server (ports 9730 and 9731). Since clients have dynamic IP addresses I cannot know in advance, I thought it would be nice to have them connected through a VPN in order to access the insecure service, but ONLY to access that service, like this: Client ------> VPN TUNNEL ------> (Insecure service at Server) | \----> (Normal internet access) I'd enable the insecure ports in the firewall only from VPN accesses. For this I configured RRAS in the server and gave it a static IP address range (172.19.1.2 through 172.19.1.254) to serve the clients. First I thought I could use DHCP to assign the addresses, but I cannot use DHCP in my LAN connection (not allowed by the hosting service). I tried configuring DHCP binding it to a Microsoft Loopback Adapter, but that's not supported as a DHCP source by RRAS. What I want to accomplish is to send specific DHCP options to the client (network mask, routing table, etc.). In particular: Prevent the client from having the server as default router (without changing the client's "use default gateway in remote network"). Have it as a route for the server's internal RRAS address only (172.19.1.1). Prevent the client from using a 255.255.0.0 mask for the 172.19.x.x network (a 255.255.255.0 mask would be better). Can I do that with RRAS only? How? Currently, the only solution I can think of is to use DHCP in the LAN adapter, but filter DHCP packets so they don't reach the provider's network. However, I'm not sure if that will work. Any suggestions are welcomed! Guille
