    I have this situation: There are a login page with a login form (form action is $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']). When user login, it will check what application the user can access and open all the application that available for that user in new tab. If user can access application (for example) 'Docs' and 'Sites', it will open 2 tabs. I Open new tab using window.open('app1.html','_newhtml');, some people say that it only works in Firefox. It's OK, no big deal for me. The problem is, It only open 1 tab, although I write it 2 times window.open('app1.html','_newhtml'); window.open('app2.html','_newhtml'); How can I open 2 tabs? are there any hacks from server side or client side programming?

    I am using Zend_Db to insert some data inside a transaction. My function starts a transaction and then calls another method that also attempts to start a transaction and of course fails(I am using MySQL5). So, the question is - how do I detect that transaction has already been started? Here is a sample bit of code: try { Zend_Registry::get('database')->beginTransaction(); $totals = self::calculateTotals($Cart); $PaymentInstrument = new PaymentInstrument; $PaymentInstrument->create(); $PaymentInstrument->validate(); $PaymentInstrument->save(); Zend_Registry::get('database')->commit(); return true; } catch(Zend_Exception $e) { Bootstrap::$Log->err($e->getMessage()); Zend_Registry::get('database')->rollBack(); return false; } Inside PaymentInstrument::create there is another beginTransaction statement that produces the exception that says that transaction has already been started.

If yes, what are the benefits of using these classes rather than im just using regular class/methods/params to create my API interface.     All, I am using the following command to retrieve the domain name of my server. $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] This seems to return the IP address instead of domain name like www.example.com. I looked at PHPInfo and it also lists an IP address for HTTP_HOST instead of Domain name. What do I need to change to make the domain name appear instead of IP? Thanks

    Hi, I feel this is something to do with my httpd setup for apache. I'm using mod_rewrite if that helps but I think that only effects the url. It seems when I output some data such as: $sMessage = 'Error'; echo $sMessage; It works fine but when I do this: $sMessage = 'Error'; echo ''+$sMessage+''; It returns 0. Very odd!

I know .htaccess should be inside product folder. If it's enabled, will it affect all the parent directories and files of my site I mean http://www.mydomain.com/ here, will it affect the pages here also.     I have a main site at site.com and several subdirectory "microsites" at site1.site.com, site2.site.com, etc. These are all on the same server. Each site is set up in its own folder under public_html and each with its own separate wordpress install. I'd like for each microsite to share the same top level menu (the page's menu) with the main site. I'm sure there are several approaches and I'd like to ask you for a few ideas. As an aside, I'd also like to ask if the new WordPress 3.0 beta would make this simpler to do (since it combines wordpress MU into the main wordpress core)
