Compilation does not recognize the *.lib set in the project properties Then when I change their name - what I think I should not be supposed to do - It crashed at my first assignment : Vector.push_back(tmp) Does anyone has an idea ?

• What is the proper way to do a Subversion merge in Eclipse?

  I'm pretty used to how to do CVS merges in Eclipse, and I'm otherwise happy with the way that both Subclipse and Subversive work with the SVN repository, but I'm not quite sure how to do merges properly. When I do a merge, it seems to want to stick the merged files in a seperate directory in my project rather than overwriting the old files that are to be replaced in the merge, as I am used to in CVS. The question is not particular to either Subclipse or Subversive. Thanks for the help!

  I need to use the appsettings/key for my connection string in a web project, and want to re-use this for my connectionstring in the datacontext designer, but it seems all I can use there is the web.config's connectionStrings, so I have to have my DB location in 2 places in the web.config, how can I force the designer (dbml) to use the appsettings instead?

The way I have it setup is by having a service that listens to the state of the phone and when the phone is picked up, it starts the timer and when the person hangs up, ends a timer. I would like to send this variable(long duration) over to my appWidgetProvider so I could update the edit text on it.

  It's a farily simple setup. A .jar is hosted on a site which is protected by basic auth. I try to load the jar with an object tag - which works perfectly when tested without authentication.   Hi I'm using log4net with AdoNetAppender. It's seems that the AdoNetAppender has a Flush method. Is there anyway I can call that from my code? I'm trying to create an admin page to view all the entries in the database log, and I will like to setup log4net with bufferSize=100 (or more), then I want the administrator to be able to click an button on the admin page to force log4net to write the buffered log entries to the database (without shutting down log4net). Is that possible?

  I'm using Entity Framework for a new project (VS 2008, .net 3.5 sp1) and "reasonably happy" with it, especially compared to dataset-based solutions. One of recurring annoyances is "Could not find file CodeGenerationSchema.xsd" exception during application startup. Exception seems to re-appear rather frequently after changes to the model. Googling gives temporary and strange workarounds for this error: Delete .suo file, or Set Options Debugging General Enable Just My Code = On May be someone have more permanent, straightforward fix or can explain the reason of this issue.
