• Why my sub-domain redirect returns a blank page?

  I have the domain http://dropbox.tombrito.com/ (on GoDaddy) forwarding with masking to www.dropbox.com/sh/k6ypvx4y4kf0gu6/rdjxQ1b1OL It was working fine some time ago, but now the result is a blank page (although the Dropbox's favicon appears correctly in the browser's tab title).   I installed Ubuntu 12.10 Bate1 yesterday, but the screen blurred always shows after selecting Install Ubuntu on a Hard Disk option and before waiting for the installation interface. The method of installation is by U-disk, the name of Ubuntu 12.10 is quantal-desktop-i386.iso (the download link is from Universal-USB-Installer), and Universal-USB-Installer was used to write the Ubuntu 12.10 into U-disk. PS. Ubuntu 12.04 could be installed successful on my computer!

• Can't boot from usb after a few successful boots

  I have ubuntu 11.10 on my usb flash maxell (4 gb) i installed it with universal usb installer and in the beginning everything worked just fine. I installed a few apps (skype, audations, vlc, codecs and a web camera app) it continued to works. but since yesterday it doesn't boot it shows me the operating system loading screen (ubuntu with the dots turning orange and white) and nothing more... please if anyone can help?

• Ubuntu 12.10 upgrade stopped halfway through

  While upgrading from 12.04 to 12.10 the upgrade crashed while installing the upgrades. It stopped while "configuring python3-aptdaemon.gtk3widgets" and the terminal says flashplugin-installer: downloading then shows the url for the flash plugin that its downloading. I think it stopped working because my internet connection is a bit patchy, and it probably failed while downloading the installer, but what can I do to make it get going again?

• Problems with installing Ubuntu 12.04 alongside Windows 7

  Despite others, the installation shows "Install alongside Windows 7" option but when I select that option, it asks to remove the installation drive and close the tray if any and press Enter. After I press Enter, it restarts and opens Windows and when I put the CD-R again, it goes back to the option. What shall I do? I don't want to delete any files and Windows 7 but still want to try out Ubuntu 12.04 as I was a former user of Ubuntu 11.04 a year or so ago.

  I am having Ubuntu 12.04 minimal installed on my USB pen-drive; which I use on several systems as portable OS. I was thinking to edit the boot parameters so that before the main Ubuntu OS is loaded, it shows an option to Boot from Hard Drive for 5 seconds, and then boots to Ubuntu. This way i'll be able to have an option to boot to the OS installed on the Hard-Drive, without removing or unplugging my ubuntu USB stick. How do I edit the boot parameters to achieve this?
