  just as this link says : http://untidy.net/blog/2009/11/03/replacing-notepad-with-pn-via-image-file-execution-options/ I wanna replace Notepad.exe to Notepad2.exe using "Image File Execution Options" function by run this command reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\notepad.exe" /v "Debugger" /t REG_SZ /d "\"c:\windows\Notepad2.exe\" /z" /f but, when I run notepad, it open file c:\windows\notepad.exe in notepad2.exe as a text file by default. Is there a way to avoid that? I know using this tech Notepad.exe will as the first param passed to Notepad2.exe. but I don't know how to avoid this :(

• Shared memory of same DLL in different 32 bit processes is sometimes different in a terminal session

  We have an 32 bit application consisting of some processes. They communicate with shared memory of a DLL used by every process. Shared memory is build with global variables in C++ by "#pragma data_seg ("Shared")". When running this application sometime during starting a new process in addition to an existing (first) process we observe that the shared memory of both processes is not the same. All new started processes cannot communicate with the first process. After stopping all of our processes and restarting the application (with some processes) everything works fine. But sometime or other after successfully starting and finishing new processes the problem occurs again. Running on all other Windows versions or terminal sessions on Windows server 2003 our application never got this problem. Is there any new "feature" on Windows server 2008 that might disturb the hamony of our application?

• Recovery partition is 'visible' while hidden

  For some reason the recovery partition of windows is appearing while it is hidden. With hidden I mean hidden in Disk management and Diskpart. This partition causes the screen to flicker sometimes, as it is continuously switching between being visible and hidden. Sometimes however, it is just visible. In the attached screenshots you can see the configuration. Translation: partitie=partition, In orde = OK, Verborgen = hidden, Lokale schijf = local disk, Herstelpartitie = recovery partition

  Possible Duplicate: Recover data loss from accidental quick format My husband downloaded windows 7 to my computer (previously vista) and in the process, deleted everything I had on my computer. He did it without telling me, so nothing was backed up before the transfer. Now, all of my documents, and my entire itunes library are gone. Please tell me there's something I can do.   I'm trying to redirect windows event log continuously into a file. psloglist.exe has the -w feature (that listens for new events and outputs to console) so I tried combining it with redirection into a file like so: psloglist -w > out.txt It doesn't work. As new events are logged they do not show up in the file. However, if I remove > out.txt new events do shows up in the console!
