  • base64-Encoding breaks smime-encrypted emaildata

    - by Streuner
I'm using Mime::Lite to create and send E-Mails. Now I need to add support for S/Mime-encryption and finally could encrypt my E-Mail (the only Perllib I could install seems broken, so I'm using a systemcall and openssl smime), but when I try to create a mime-object with it, the E-Mail will be broken as soon as I set the Content-Transfer-Encoding to base64. To make it even more curious, it happens only if I set it via $myMessage->attr. If I'm using the constructor -new everything is fine, besides a little warning which I suppress by using MIME::Lite->quiet(1); Is it a bug or my fault? Here are the two ways how I create the mime-object. Setting the Content-Transfer-Encoding via construtor and suppress the warning: MIME::Lite->quiet(1); my $msgEncr = MIME::Lite->new(From =>'me@myhost.com', To => 'you@yourhost.com', Subject => 'SMIME Test', Data => $myEncryptedMessage, 'Content-Transfer-Encoding' => 'base64'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Disposition' => 'attachment'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Disposition.filename' => 'smime.p7m'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Type' => 'application/x-pkcs7-mime'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Type.smime-type' => 'enveloped-data'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Type.name' => 'smime.p7m'); $msgEncr->send; MIME::Lite->quiet(0); Setting the Content-Transfer-Encoding via $myMessage->attr which breaks the encrypted Data, but won't cause a warning: my $msgEncr = MIME::Lite->new(From => 'me@myhost.com', To => 'you@yourhost.com', Subject => 'SMIME Test', Data => $myEncryptedMessage); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Disposition' => 'attachment'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Disposition.filename' => 'smime.p7m'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Type' => 'application/x-pkcs7-mime'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Type.smime-type' => 'enveloped-data'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Type.name' => 'smime.p7m'); $msgEncr->attr('Content-Transfer-Encoding' => 'base64'); $msgEncr->send; I just don't get why my message is broken when I'm using the attribute-setter. Thanks in advance for your help! Besides that i'm unable to attach any file to this E-Mail without breaking the encrypted message again.

    - by AKRamkumar
Suppose I had two brushes. One that was a linear gradient brush that was from Dark to light One was a radial brush that went from Dark to light. How could I merge the brushes so that when I apply them, I can apply both at once. EG Check this: 1) http://www.codeproject.com/KB/vista/WindowsVistaRenderer/VistaRenderer4.gif 2) http://www.codeproject.com/KB/vista/WindowsVistaRenderer/VistaRenderer5.gif How could I (In WPF/XAML) merge both into one gradient and then refer to that? • Redirecting via .htaccess to .php with arguments in current folder.

    - by Jengerer
Hey, I'm trying to redirect something like foo/bar to ?foo=bar, so I can do www.mydomain.com/hey/foo/bar to www.mydomain.com/hey/?foo=bar, but I can't seem to get the syntax right. I tried the following: RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^foo/(.*)$ ?foo=bar [NC] But this doesn't work. How would I accomplish this? I tried adding a forward slash behind the question mark, but that makes it link to the root directory. Thanks, Jengerer

  • secure xmlhttprequest from nonsecure page

    - by amwinter
I want to make an XMLHttpRequest to a secure uri (https://site.com/ajaxservice/) from javascript running inside a nonsecure page (http://site.com/page.htm). I've tried all kinds of nutty stuff like iframes and dynamic script elements, so far no go. I know I am violating 'same origin policy' but there must be some way to make this work. I will take any kind of wacky solution short of having the SSL protocol written in javascript.

I have check to see if the default document is correctly set in IIS7 and it is and I have even commented out all my routes to ensure it isn't that. Does anyone know how to get ASP.NET MVC to serve the default document?

  • gcc, strict-aliasing, and casting through a union

    - by Joseph Quinsey
About a year ago the following paragraph was added to the GCC Manual, version 4.3.4, regarding -fstrict-aliasing: Similarly, access by taking the address, casting the resulting pointer and dereferencing the result has undefined behavior [emphasis added], even if the cast uses a union type, e.g.: union a_union { int i; double d; }; int f() { double d = 3.0; return ((union a_union *)&d)->i; } Does anyone have an example to illustrate this undefined behavior? Note this question is not about what the C99 standard says, or does not say. It is about the actual functioning of gcc, and other existing compilers, today. My simple, naive, attempt fails. For example: #include <stdio.h> union a_union { int i; double d; }; int f1(void) { union a_union t; t.d = 3333333.0; return t.i; // gcc manual: 'type-punning is allowed, provided ...' } int f2(void) { double d = 3333333.0; return ((union a_union *)&d)->i; // gcc manual: 'undefined behavior' } int main(void) { printf("%d\n", f1()); printf("%d\n", f2()); return 0; } works fine, giving on CYGWIN: -2147483648 -2147483648 Also note that taking addresses is obviously wrong (or right, if you are trying to illustrate undefined behavior). For example, just as we know this is wrong: extern void foo(int *, double *); union a_union t; t.d = 3.0; foo(&t.i, &t.d); // UD behavior so is this wrong: extern void foo(int *, double *); double d = 3.0; foo(&((union a_union *)&d)->i, &d); // UD behavior For background discussion about this, see for example: http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg14/www/docs/n1422.pdf http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2010-01/msg00013.html http://davmac.wordpress.com/2010/02/26/c99-revisited/ http://cellperformance.beyond3d.com/articles/2006/06/understanding-strict-aliasing.html http://stackoverflow.com/questions/98650/what-is-the-strict-aliasing-rule http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2771023/c99-strict-aliasing-rules-in-c-gcc/2771041#2771041 The first link, draft minutes of an ISO meeting seven months ago, notes in section 4.16: Is there anybody that thinks the rules are clear enough? No one is really able to interpret tham.

  • Sending email using Java, connecting to a gmail host hangs

    - by Tot
    I would like to send emails via Java code. I added in my library the following .JARs: log4j.jar, smtp.jar, mailapi.jar,ctivation.jar. And my Java class looks like this: import java.util.Properties; import javax.mail.*; import javax.mail.internet.*; public class SendEmail { public static void main(String [] args) { String to = "abcd@gmail.com"; String from = "web@gmail.com"; String host = "smtp.gmail.com"; Properties properties = System.getProperties(); properties.setProperty("mail.smtp.host", host); properties.setProperty("mail.smtp.starttls.enable", "true"); properties.setProperty("mail.smtp.auth", "true"); SmtpAuthenticator authentication = new SmtpAuthenticator(); javax.mail.Message msg = new MimeMessage(Session .getInstance(properties, authentication)); try { msg.setFrom(new InternetAddress(from)); msg.setRecipient(Message.RecipientType.TO, new InternetAddress(to)); msg.setSubject("Subject"); msg.setText("Working fine..!"); System.out.println("fine1 !!"); Transport transport = Session.getDefaultInstance( properties , null).getTransport("smtp"); System.out.println("fine2 !!"); transport.connect("smtp.gmail.com" , 465 , "username", "password"); System.out.println("fine3 !!"); Transport.send(msg); System.out.println("fine!!"); } catch(Exception exc) { System.out.println(exc); } } } My SmtpAuthenticator class: import javax.mail.Authenticator; import javax.mail.PasswordAuthentication; public class SmtpAuthenticator extends Authenticator { public SmtpAuthenticator() { super(); } @Override public PasswordAuthentication getPasswordAuthentication() { String username = "user"; String password = "password"; if ((username != null) && (username.length() > 0) && (password != null) && (password.length() > 0)) { return new PasswordAuthentication(username, password); } return null; } } When i run my Java application class it prints: fine1 !! fine2 !! And it hangs. How can I get rid of this problem?

  • Upload file and parse in classic asp

Any ideas how this can be done thru pure asp? I have various upload scripts, but they all either save a file to a folder or in a database. I can't seem to modify these examples correctly to put the file in an array. Here's the 2 I'm currently using: http://www.asp101.com/articles/jacob/scriptupload.asp|http://www.pscode.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=7361&lngWId=4

  • Focus on textbox based on URL.

    - by Cameron
I have two forms on one page and want to have the input boxes focused based on the URL. So for example: domain.com/Default.aspx#login and domain.com/Default.aspx#register and the javascript I have this: window.document.getElementById('<%=txtUserName.ClientID %>').focus(); window.document.getElementById('<%=txtEmail.ClientID %>').focus(); it might be better if the urls are Default.aspx?action=login actually (not sure if this effects the way in which it would work)

  • jQuery detect visible but hidden elements

    - by IP
This seems like it should be fairly easy - but I can't find the right selector for it According to the docs (http://api.jquery.com/hidden-selector/ and http://api.jquery.com/visible-selector/)... Elements can be considered hidden for several reasons: An ancestor element is hidden, so the element is not shown on the page. What I want to detect is "this element is visible, but is contained in a hidden parent". Ie, if I made the parent visible, this element would also be visible.
