• Are there standard ways and guidelines on extending Unicode with custom user-defined character sets?

  In a linguistic project of mine I need to use symbols not contained in Unicode. I can draw the font, but would like to avoid overwriting characters defined by the standard. Are there any standard solutions for such cases? As reserved ranges etc. I'd need common Unicode-aware software to handle it seamlessly.

• Need to have testing server work with https: but don't have an SSL

  I'm working on an online store. I have it setup on my testing server. I'm having a problem where when it goes to the checkout functions it wants to start calling https pages. I don't have an SSL certificate for this server. Is there something I can do with Apache to get this to work? Mod_Rewrite perhaps? I've played a little with rewrites but haven't had any success.

"A project with an output type of class librart cannot be started directly" I'm familiar with desktop programs but I'm new to working with ASP.NET, the code is easy enough to understand but I can't get my head around how to successfully debug it. • database text field databound to a checkbox

  I'd like the field to save as a 1 or 0 instead of 'True' or 'False' in the database and i cannot figure out how to do it without manually setting every property when the record is saved. I have to use this a lot in this project and a bit field is not an option. I would like to solve this issue by extending the CheckBox control if possible but i don't know how to change the binding fields value. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  I often read about dependency injection and I did research on google and I understand in theory what it can do and how it works, but I'd like to see an actual code base using it (Java/guice would be preferred). Can anyone point me to an open source project, where I can see, how it's really used? • can i quickly run entire page's text through a function on page load?

  i have setup a profanity filter with bad words in a XML file and have the following function to run on my page to replace the words: BadWordFilter.Instance.GetCleanString(TextBox1.Text); i'm about to go through my entire site now wrapping that function around every little text variable one by one and it's going to be a huge pain in the butt i'm hoping there's a way that i could just set my masterpage to automatically run all text through this thing on any page_load, so that the effect would be site-wide instantly. is this possible? much appreciated for any help

  I am creating an desktop application which is capable of sending emails. I downloaded mail.jar and javaee.jar and added it to my project libraries. However, when I am trying to use it, it gives me the error java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: Uncompilable source code - package javax.mail does not exist I imported those packages as, import javax.mail.* It added correctly, as shown in the following image. Please help!! How can I make this work?

• System.Web.UI not available in console app?

  Hey everybody, Im trying to write a quick console app that outputs data to an HTML file, however im having trouble accessing the System.Web.UI namespace. Adding System.Web to my references places a warning icon on top of the reference name in the solution explorer and System.Web is not available in the .NET reference list (in order for me to actually add it to the project I have to go to the object browser and add it from there). Anybody have any ideas about what I could be missing? Thanks alot people!

  hi Frnz, i want to delete multiple rows from a table view based on users selection.obviously i cant use didSelectRowAtIndexPath method coz it will be called for every row selected. i want to allow user to select multiple rows for deletion and then delete them in one go...Is it possible if yes then how to go about it.Also i am using a single view based project and i want the header of table view changed to "Delete" on the same view when the user want to delete the rows from the view. There are a lots of approximation algorithms out there, but I don't have time nor will to analyze them and code them myself.
