  Hi, As part of our application we are using apache's xerces jaxp parser. When we deploy the application on weblogic9.2, we are getting the following error. org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'org.apache.cxf.wsdl.WSDLManager' defined in class path resource [META-INF/cxf/cxf.xml]: Instantiation of bean failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.BeanInstantiationException: Could not instantiate bean class [org.apache.cxf.wsdl11.WSDLManagerImpl]: Constructor threw exception; nested exception is java.lang.ClassCastException: org.apache.xerces.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl As per our analysis, i)The weblogic is trying to to load its own DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl which is present in weblogic.jar instead of apache's xerces. We tried the following to force the weblogic to load DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl from xerces i)we have added the following tag into weblogic.xml true ii)we have put latest versions of xalan in jre/lib/endorced folder. this didnt resolve our problem. ii) we have added entries in weblogic-application.xml webapp.encoding.default UTF-8 javax.jws. org.apache.xerces. org.apache.xerces.jaxp.* ii)Added the following entry in weblogic-application.xml <parser-factory> <saxparser-factory>org.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl</saxparser-factory> <document-builder-factory>org.apache.xerces.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl </document-builder-factory> org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl iii)Added jaxp.properties to load DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl from xerces to the jre/lib and started the server.In this case, the weblogic didnt start. iv)Then we started the server first and then copied the jaxp.properties file during the run time when server starts.But no success None of the above worked for us. • VS 2010 debugger not loading symbols when attaching to NUnit

  (I just posted this in the NUnit discussion group on groups.google.com) Under VS 2008, I would run my tests under NUnit, and, if I needed to debug, I would attach the VS2008 debugger to the running Nunit process (Debug - Attach to Process), and set any breakpoints on code I wanted to examine. When I hit the Run buttion in NUnit, it would hit the breakpoint. (BTW, if it matters, this was running NUnit 2.5.2). I just upgraded to NUnit 2.5.4 and VS 2010. When I set a breakpoint, then attach to NUnit, I get a little warning symbol on the breakpoint dot, and hovering over it gives the tooltip "Breakpoint will not be hit. No symbols are currently loaded". Going to the Debug - Windows - Modules window shows a whole bunch of Windows and NUnit modules loaded, with the Symbol Status of "Skipped loading symbols", and then 1 module with a funny name that changes each time (r1euhmh5 right now), and Symbol Status of "No symbols loaded". (There is no trace of a module with a name remotely like my DLL under test). Right clicking the funny filename (assuming that to be some mapping from my DLL under test), and clicking Load Symbols From - Symbol Path, and navigating to the bin\debug folder, then clicking the pdb file of my DLL under test, I get the message "A matching symbol was not found in this folder". (The top of the Open dialog box has a line that says "Original location: r1euhmh5.pdb") So what's changed? And how do I go about debugging/breakpointing under VS 2010/NUnit 2.5.4 (Or is it possible I screwed something up when I decided to go through my VS2010 options and set some of them to more advanced levels than I knew what I was doing?) I appreciate any help.

I expect this particular info would come from the USB device its self. Can any one show me how to do that. By the way in my version of windows XP I’m using the registry path, I cannot find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\HID...\Class I do not even get HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\ I think this is because I have not executed the SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces Function Why?   In ASP.NET, is it possible to set a path from a web.config in a subdir that is not setup as a virtual directory? In other words, can I reference a private assembly in the ~/subdir/bin folder? Take a look at my setup below, and let me know if I'm doing something wrong, please. Let me explain why I'm doing this: my page is setup in ~/subdir. I don't have write access to the root. • AWS Amazon EC2 - password-less SSH login for non-root users using PEM keypairs

  We've got a couple of clusters running on AWS (HAProxy/Solr, PGPool/PostgreSQL) and we've setup scripts to allow new slave instances to be auto-included into the clusters by updating their IPs to config files held on S3, then SSHing to the master instance to kick them to download the revised config and restart the service. It's all working nicely, but in testing we're using our master pem for SSH which means it needs to be stored on an instance. Not good. I want a non-root user that can use an AWS keypair who will have sudo access to run the download-config-and-restart scripts, but nothing else. rbash seems to be the way to go, but I understand this can be insecure unless setup correctly. So what security holes are there in this approach: New AWS keypair created for user.pem (not really called 'user') New user on instances: user Public key for user is in ~user/.ssh/authorized_keys (taken by creating new instance with user.pem, and copying it from /root/.ssh/authorized_keys) Private key for user is in ~user/.ssh/user.pem 'user' has login shell of /home/user/bin/rbash ~user/bin/ contains symbolic links to /bin/rbash and /usr/bin/sudo /etc/sudoers has entry "user ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: ~user/.bashrc sets PATH to /home/user/bin/ only ~user/.inputrc has 'set disable-completion on' to prevent double tabbing from 'sudo /' to find paths. ~user/ -R is owned by root with read-only access to user, except for ~user/.ssh which has write access for user (for writing known_hosts), and ~user/bin/* which are +x Inter-instance communication uses 'ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no -i ~user/.ssh/user.pem user@ sudo ' Any thoughts would be welcome.   Hi We're having issues inserting links into rich text in Sitecore 6.1.0. • Location of Java dump heap file?

  Well this is embarrassing ... I'm starting to play with the Eclipse Memory Analyzer to look for Java memory leaks on a Windows box. Step 1 is to obtain a heap dump file. To do this< I start my Java (javaw.exe) process from within Eclipse and connect to it with jconsole. Then on the jconsole MBeans tab I click the dumpHeap button. The first time I did this, I saw a pop-up saying it had created the heap dump file, but not giving its name or location. Now whenever I do a dumpHeap again while connected to a different javaw.exe process, jconsole says: Problem invoking dumpHeap : java.io.IOException: File exists and of course doesn't give its name or path. Where could it be? I've searched my C: drive (using cygwin command line tools) for files containing "hprof" or "java_pid" or "heapdump" and didn't find anything plausible. I've even used the Windows search to look for all files in my Eclipse workspace that have changed in the last day. I'm using the Sun Java 1.6 JVM, and don't have -XX:HeapDumpPath set.

• How do I properly host a WCF Data Service in IIS? Why am I getting errors?

  I'm playing around with WCF Data Services (ADO.NET Data Services). I have an entity framework model pointed at the AdventureWorks database. When I debug my svc file from within Visual Studio, it works great. I can say /awservice.svc/Customers and get back the ATOM feed I expect. If I publish the service (hosted in an ASP.NET web application) to IIS7, the same query string returns a 500 fault. The root svc page itself works as expected and successfully returns ATOM. The /Customers path fails.   Hi, I'm attempting to build a ASP.NET website using MSBuild - specifically the AspNetCompiler tag. I know that, for my project, I need to add some references. Within Visual Studio I have several references, one is a project reference and the others are some DLLS (AjaxControlToolkit etc). I'm happy not referencing the project and referencing the DLL instead - however I just can't work out how to add a reference.   I have trouble to add new item to my table view with core data. Here is the brief logic in my codes. I think that both the number of objects in my data source or context and the number of rows in my table view should be 1. However, I got an exception in the event of tabView:numberOfRowsInSection: Invalid update: invalid number of rows in section 0. The number of rows contained in an existing section after the update (0) must be equal to the number of rows contained in that section before the update (0), plus or minus the number of rows inserted or deleted from that section (1 inserted, 0 deleted).   What's the difference between accessing user data with the Facebook Graph API (http://graph.facebook.com/btaylor) and using the Graph API to make a FQL query of the same user (https://api.facebook.com/method/fql.query?query=QUERY). Also, does anyone know which of them the Facebook Developer Toolkit (for ASP.NET) uses? The reason I ask is because I'm trying to access the logged in user's birthday after they begin a Facebook Connect session on my site, but when I use the toolkit it doesn't return it. However, if I make a manual call to the Graph API for that user object, it does return it. It's possible I might have something wrong with my call from the toolkit. I think I may need to include the session key, but I'm not sure how to get it. • Using QTDesigner with PyQT and Python 2.6

  Hi. I'm fairly new to Python and trying to work with the latest versions of QTDesigner, PyQT 4.7 and QT4.7 (I downloaded the whole package from PyQT4.7 website). I can't figure out how to make QTDesigner integrate closely with Python: ie. If I select "Form" View Code in QTDesigners menu, it errors saying "Unable to launch C:/Python26/Lib/site-packages/PyQT4/bin\uic." If I look in that directory there is a pyuic.py but not "uic". From searching online it seems this doesn't exist because it's expecting a C++ install instead of the python version. Is there anyway to make QTDesigner use/call pyuic.py to generate the code, then open an IDE or text editor of my choice to show me the PYTHON code generated by the QTDesigner-PyUIC chain? I'd like Designer to integrate closely with python, so I can make custom slots/signals in Designer while designing, then tweak the python code directly in my IDE later. If it is not possible to code directly inside QTDesigner using python, does that mean I have to hand code my programs entire UI directly in my PythonIDE? Using Designer directly would seemingly be nearly very very nice for a newbie such as myself, since I can see what properties each widget has and visually edit them while still learning the QT syntax without constantly having to use web resources to see what properties each widget should have and helps with boilerplate code generation, and what their defaults are, etc. I've googled and nobody seems to be using QTDesigner and Python in this manner together. It seems most are either handcoding all the QT code in their Python IDE of choice, or have found an obvious/easy method of doing what I want, therefore not really producing up to date tutorials on making this work together. • MVVM Light Toolkit - RelayCommands, DelegateCommands, and ObservableObjects

  I just started experimenting with Laurent Bugnion's MVVM Light Toolkit. I think I'm going to really like it, but I have a couple questions. Before I get to them, I need to explain where I'm coming from. I currently use a combination of Josh Smith's MVVM Foundation and another project on Codeplex called MVVM Toolkit. I use ObservableObject and Messenger from MVVM Foundation and DelegateCommand and CommandReference from MVVM Toolkit. The only real overlap between MVVM Foundation and MVVM Tookit is that they both have an implementation for ICommand: MVVM Foundation has a RelayCommand and MVVM Tookit has a DelegateCommand. Of these two, DelegateCommand appears to be more sophisticated. It employs a CommandManagerHelper that uses weak references to avoid memory leaks. With that said, a couple questions: Why does MVVM Light Toolkit use RelayCommand rather than DelegateCommand? Is the use of weak references in an ICommand unnecessary or not recommended for some reason? Why is there no ObservableObject in MVVM Light? ObservableObject is basically just the part of ViewModelBase that implements INotifyPropertyChanged, but it's very convenient to have as a separate class because view-models are not the only objects that need to implement INotifyPropertyChanged. For example, let's say you have DataGrid that binds to a list of Person objects. If any of the properties in Person can change while the user is viewing the DataGrid, Person would need to implement INotifyPropertyChanged. (I realize that if Person is auto-generated using something like LinqToSql, it will probably already implement INotifyPropertyChanged, but there are cases where I need to make a view-specific version of entity model objects, say, because I need to include a command to support a button column in a DataGrid.)   Hello! I'm having trouble creating a non-persistent cookie using the FormsAuthenticationTicket. I want to store userdata in the ticket, so i can't use FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie() or FormsAuthentication.GetAuthCookie() methods. Because of this I need to create the FormsAuthenticationTicket and store it in a HttpCookie. But when isPersistent is false the cookie seems to be persisted anyway. I sign on in a browser window, closes it and opens the browser again and I am still logged in. How do i set the cookie to be non-persistent? Is a non-persistent cookie the same as a session cookie? Is the cookie information stored in the sessiondata on the server or are the cookie transferred in every request/response to the server? Thanks in advance! /Marcus

• Calling a MVC2 partial view using jquery returns empty string problem

  I have an issue where I have a partial view that returns some HTML to be displayed. Its called when something is clicked on the page using jquery. The problem is that no matter how I call it, i get back an empty string even though it reports success. This is happening to me using Chrome, going against my local machine. My controller looks like this: public ActionResult MyPartialView() { return PartialView(model); } I have tried jquery using .get(), .post() and .load() and all have the same results. Here is an example using .post(): $.post(url, function (data) { alert(data); }); The result always comes back as an empty string. I can navigate to the partial view in the browser manually and i get back the desired HTML. The URL I am using to call it I resolved fully so it looks like "http://localhost/controller/mypartialview" rather than using the relative path of "/controller/mypartialview" which I thought was the original problem. Any idea what may cause this?

Property or method not found." message On the line: document = ThisComponent.CurrentController.Frame And when I comment that line, the above invocation complete without error, but do nothing. I guess I need to somehow set the value of document to a newly created instance, but I don't know how to do it. Or am I going at it at a completely backward way? P.S. I will consider JODConverter as a fallback, because I try to minimize my dependencies.

• wpf 4.0 datagrid template column two-way binding problem

  Hello all! I'm using the datagrid from wpf 4.0. This has a TemplateColumn containing a checkbox. The IsChecked property of the checkbox is set via binding. The problem is that even if I specify the binding mode explicitly to be TwoWay, it works only in one direction. I have to mention that the same code works perfectly in .net 3.5 with the datagrid from the wpf toolkit. Please take a look at the .xaml and .cs contents. • How can I beta test web Perl modules under Apache/mod_perl on production web server?

  We have a setup where most code, before being promoted to full production, is deployed in BETA mode - meaning, it runs in full production environment (using production database - usually production data; and production web server). We call that stage BETA testing. One of the main requirements is that BETA code promotion to production must be a simple "cp" command from beta to production directory - no code/filename changes. For non-web Perl code, achieving seamless BETA test is quite doable (see details here): Perl programs live in a standard location under production root (/usr/code/scripts) with production perl modules living under the same root (/usr/code/lib/perl) The BETA code has 100% same code paths except under beta root (/usr/code/beta/) A special module manipulates @INC of any script based on whether the script was called from /usr/code/scripts or /usr/code/test/scripts, to include beta libraries for beta scripts. This setup works fine up till we need to beta test our web Perl code (the setup is EmbPerl and Apache/mod_perl). The hang-up is as follows: if both a production Perl module and BETA Perl module have the same name (e.g. /usr/code/lib/perl/MyLib1.pm and /usr/code/beta/lib/perl/MyLib1.pm), then mod_perl will only be able to load ONE of these modules into memory - and there's no way we are aware of for a particular web page to affect which version of the module is currently loaded due to concurrency issues. Leaving aside the obvious non-programming solution (get a bloody BETA web server) which for political/organizational reasons is not feasible, is there any way we can somehow hack around this problem in either Perl or mod_perl? I played around with various approaches to unloading Perl modules that %INC has listed, but the problem remains that another user might load a beta page at just the right (or rather wrong) moment and have the beta module loaded which will be used for my production page.

• WPF ListView SelectedItem is null

  Hi All I have a Listview that has a checkbox as one of the columns. If I click anywhere but the actual checkbox the SelectedItem of the ListView is set to the current selected row, as expected. If, on the other hand I click onto the checkbox (without clicking on the row first) then the SelectedItem is null or the previously clicked row. Can anyone help me out....
