  When refactoring away some #defines I came across declarations similar to the following in a C++ header file: static const unsigned int VAL = 42; const unsigned int ANOTHER_VAL = 37; The question is, what difference, if any, will the static make? Note that multiple inclusion of the headers isn't possible due to the classic #ifndef HEADER #define HEADER #endif trick (if that matters). Does the static mean only one copy of VAL is created, in case the header is included by more than one source file?

• SQL Server 2008 BIDS without the Database Engine

  Does anyone know how we can install BIDS for SQL Server 2008 without having to install the Database Engine? With the SQL Server 2008 Express install it appears to be mandatory to install the Database Engine when all we would like the end users to have access to is BIDS to develop their RDL's to deploy to an existing SSRS instance? It looks like BIDS 2005 was available as a standalone download - the toolkit - however I cannot find anything similar for 2008.

• How to avoid keyboard hide & show when focus changes from UITextField and UIWebView?

  I have a requirement in which the view contains one native UITextField and one UIWebView. The issue is if I switch the focus from UITextView to UIWebView, the keyboard window flicker(hides and then shows). ie, I got UIKeyboardWillHideNotification and UIKeyboardDidShowNotification But, this is not happening when I switch the other way. ies, I got only UIKeyboardDidShowNotification Is there any way to avoid this flickering effect? Note: I also notices if I have multiple UITextField and UIWebView, this issue is not happening with the same type of views.

However I'm pretty sure thisis being hijacked and I've found "new" files on my server I didn't put there. My site cleans all user input for SQL injections and XSS but this keeps happening. • How do I accurately handle a batch seperator for SQL from C#

  For Data Explorer I would like to add support for a Batch separator. So for example if users type in: select 'GO' go select 1 as go Go select 100 I would like to return the three result sets. Its clear that I need some sort of parser here, my hope is that this is a solved problem and I can just plug it in. • MessageBox.Show-- font change?

  Hi all, I'm using the MessageBox class to show errors to users, and while that might not be the right behavior, it's very convenient. This is a touchscreen application, however, so I need the 'ok' button to be much larger than it is (curse my inordinately large fingers!). I think that if I increase the font size in the dialog box, I should be ok. Is there a way to do that? Or really, is there any way to increase the dialog size? Thanks
