  • How to get application to use specific version of .NET?

    - by HN
Hi, I am using pnunit to run nunit tests on remote machines, the pnunit agent loads the test and runs it in Windows 2008 but the test fails to load in Windows 2003, the agent error is INFO PNUnit.Agent.PNUnitAgent - Registering channel on port 9080 INFO PNUnit.Agent.PNUnitAgent - RunTest called for Test MyTest, AssemblyName test.dll, TestToRun test.Program.myDeployTest INFO PNUnit.Agent.PNUnitTestRunner - Spawning a new thread INFO PNUnit.Agent.PNUnitTestRunner - Thread entered for Test MyTest:test.Program.myDeployTest Assembly test.dll Unhandled Exception: System.BadImageFormatException: The format of the file 'test ' is invalid. File name: "test" Server stack trace: at System.Reflection.Assembly.nLoad(AssemblyName fileName, String codeBase, B oolean isStringized, Evidence assemblySecurity, Boolean throwOnFileNotFound, Ass embly locationHint, StackCrawlMark& stackMark) On running procmon and monitoring the agent process i could see that the agent executable was using .NET 1.1 assemblies on Windows 2003 and .NET 2.0 on Windows 2008 which could be an explanation for this behavior. How do I get the agent to use .NET 2.0 on Windows 2003?

  • Domain Model and Contracts

    - by devoured elysium
I am modelling a DVD Rental Store: A Client gives its clientNumber to the System. The System checks whenever the given clientNumber is valid. The Client gives the name of the DVD he wants to rent. ... n. ...I will later have to form an association between a new instance of "RentDVD" class concept to the current Client c. My Domain Model is something like: I've made the Contract for the first and second operations as: Preconditions: none Postconditions: there exists a Client c such that c.clientNumber = clientNumber. Now, I don't know if I should form an association between this Client c and the DVDStore(that I intend to use as front-end). If I don't make the association, how will I later be able to "reference" this same Client? Should I be making an association between Client and a different concept? Thanks

  • Who use class variables in SOAP calls with Savon?

    - by Steffen Roller
I'm writing a little client using Ruby and Savon. The interface changed significantly from version 0.7 to 0.8.x. All my calls don't work anymore :-(. How can I pass on a local member variable. Please see the example, @userName and @userPassword are not defined within the block. begin @response = @authentication_svc.request :wsdl, "AuthenticateUser" do http.headers["SOAPAction"] = "AuthenticateUser" soap.body = "#{@userName}#{@passwd}" end rescue Savon::SOAP::Fault = e @last_soap_error = e.message end

  • Using a NullTempDataProvider crashes at PossiblyLoadTempData()

    - by Jova
I'm trying to use a dummy TempDataProvider for some of my controllers. The provider looks like this. public class NullTempDataProvider : ITempDataProvider { public IDictionary<string, object> LoadTempData(ControllerContext controllerContext) { return new TempDataDictionary(); } public void SaveTempData(ControllerContext controllerContext, IDictionary<string, object> values) { } } But I'm getting an error that says System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at System.Web.Mvc.Controller.PossiblyLoadTempData() Any help for figuring out the reason for it is much appreciated.

  • Create a triangle out of stars using only recursion

    - by Ramblingwood
I need to to write a method that is called like printTriangle(5);. We need to create an iterative method and a recursive method (without ANY iteration). The output needs to look like this: * ** *** **** ***** This code works with the iterative but I can't adapt it to be recursive. public void printTriangle (int count) { int line = 1; while(line <= count) { for(int x = 1; x <= line; x++) { System.out.print("*"); } System.out.print("\n"); line++; } } I should not that you cannot use any class level variables or any external methods. Thanks.

  • WPF integrate Windows live authentication for Microsoft health vault

    - by AnD
Hi all, I'm just wondering if there's any way for WPF application integrated with windows live ID? and it's actually for windows health vault [www.healthvault.com] so health vault is using windows live id or open id to login into their system. and what i gonna do is, creating wpf application (instead of web application) for health vault, so all of the login form username pass and everything is handled inside the wpf application without showing/using any internet browser. so since this's quite new for me, i hope if there's somebody ever did this before especially for health vault system that run on standalone wpf app. alright, so that's it, thank you in advance!

  • helink dll to executable

    - by user353707
How can I link the .dll file to an executable? I do not have the source for the dll nor executable. The two files operate on a 64-bit system. When the executable is ported from another system, I get "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to Terminate the program. Here's a list of the files \l2server\L2Server.exe \l2server\l2serverx64-dll.dll \l2server\Sabotage64.dll L2Server requires l2serverx64-dll.dll to execute. What i'm trying to do is to link Sabotage64.dll with L2Server.exe I used CFF Explorer as a rebuilder to no luck :(

  • What processor is javax.xml.transform Using?

    - by Jeremy Witmer
I've implented a simple webapp that transforms XML based on an XSTL stylesheet. It works fine on all the Windows servers I've deployed it on (to Tomcat), but on all Linux systems, I get a compile error on the XSLT. As best I can tell, it's because Java 1.6 isn't using the same processor behind javax.xml.transform. On the one Linux system, it's org.apache.xalan.xslt, version 2.4. What I can't figure out is how to generically figure out what any given system is using behind javax.xml.transform. Or, if anyone has any hints on what else I might do to figure out the problem, that'd be good, too.

  • Scale GraphicsPaths

    - by serhio
In a form I draw a graph. This graph has some distinct paths that should have differently drawn. Say AxesPath, SalesPath, CostsPath etc... When I resize the form need I to scale every of components Paths? Take an example: Imports System.Drawing.Drawing2D Public Class Form1 Dim lineOne As GraphicsPath Dim lineTwo As GraphicsPath Dim allPaths As GraphicsPath Dim initSize As Size Public Sub New() ' This call is required by the designer. ' InitializeComponent() initSize = Me.Size lineOne = New GraphicsPath() lineTwo = New GraphicsPath() lineOne.AddLine(20.0F, 20.0F, Me.initSize.Width - 20.0F, 20.0F) lineTwo.AddLine(0.1F, 10.0F, Me.initSize.Width - 20.0F, _ Me.initSize.Height - 0.5F) allPaths = New GraphicsPath() allPaths.AddPath(lineOne, False) allPaths.AddPath(lineTwo, False) Me.ResizeRedraw = True End Sub Protected Overrides Sub OnResize(ByVal e As System.EventArgs) MyBase.OnResize(e) Dim m As New Matrix m.Scale(Me.Width / initSize.Width, Me.Height / initSize.Height) allPaths.Transform(m) initSize = Me.Size End Sub Protected Overrides Sub OnPaint(ByVal e As PaintEventArgs) MyBase.OnPaint(e) ' WORKS ' ' e.Graphics.DrawPath(Pens.GreenYellow, allPaths) ' ' DOES NOT WORK! ' e.Graphics.DrawPath(Pens.DarkGoldenrod, lineOne) e.Graphics.DrawPath(Pens.DarkMagenta, lineTwo) End Sub End Class

  • Building an application that includes a DB, and need recommendations

    - by Rubys
I'm going to build a little system for personal use, and I want it to save data to a database. The language is going to be C#, and so I'd like to use this opportunity to get my head around LINQ to SQL. I have some DB experience and I know my SQL, but it was all in school using Access, which is giving me trouble, and so I'd like to use another DB, something that is small in size, easy to install, and should work with LINQ to SQL. The problem is: I don't know any except Access, and am looking for recommendations. To sum it up: I need a lightweight, easy to install, linq-to-sql supporting database for a small system on a home computer, any recommendations?

  • windows service

    - by zubin71
I need to write a windows service which executes an application after a certain amount of time. I have checked out the code in MSDN and found an example in which the System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase class is sub-classed. I did the following. created a new C# console application copied the code from the MSDN example Run I get the following error The type or namespace name 'ServiceProcess' does not exist in the namespace 'System'(are you missing an assembly reference?) As i had copied the example from MSDN, i have no idea why the code still does not work. This is my first experience writing services and i`d love some guidance. thnkx!

  • Using Timer only once

    - by zaidwaqi
Hi, I want to use a timer only once, at 1 second after the initialization of my main form. I thought the following would have a message box saying "Hello World" just once, but actually a new message box says "Hello World" every one second. Why so? I had put t.Stop() in the tick event. Also, do I need to dispose the timer somehow to avoid memory leakage? Timer t = new Timer(); t.Interval = 1000; t.Tick += delegate(System.Object o, System.EventArgs e) { MessageBox.Show("Hello World"); t.Stop(); }; t.Start(); Please help and show if there is a better way of doing this? Thanks.

  • Anyone know of a .net library/utility that will convert a word document to an mp3 format

    - by EJB
Anyone know of any well-supported/proven methods for converting a Microsoft word document to an MP3 or wav format such that hearing-impaired folks could "listen" to documents that I have stored in my web-based document management system? I already have the interface built such that someone can use the telephone to get the list of documents available, with the dates and titles "read" to them over the phone, but now I would like the ability to let someone actually listen to the contents of word files stored in the system. Ideally a .net library or utility that would let me convert the DOC - MP3 after each upload would be best, but one that "read" the file on demand would be OK too.

  • MVC, can model save/load its data?

    - by fuzzygoat
Quick question, my data model is a singleton object and it contains a list of names I want archive. My idea is to make the model responsible for loading / saving this data. The ModelLoad will then be called by the ViewControllerviewDidLoad and the ModelSave by ViewControllerapplicationWillTerminate. I could do the load / save directly within the ViewController, but this would be messy as the list of names are on instance variable of the model. gary

  • Is there a built-in .NET method for getting all of the properties and values for an object?

    - by Ben McCormack
Let's say I have: public class Item { public string SKU {get; set; } public string Description {get; set; } } .... Is there a built-in method in .NET that will let me get the properties and values for variable i of type Item that might look like this: {SKU: "123-4556", Description: "Millennial Radio Classic"} I know that .ToString() can be overloaded to provide this functionaility, but I couldn't remember if this was already provided in .NET.
