    i have a plist that's at its root an array with dictonaries inside it. i load a plist from my recourses as an NSMutableArray. [NSMutableArray arrayWithContentsOfFile:[[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"Filters" ofType:@"plist"]] i store it into nsuserdefault because it has to be persistent between startups. [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] setObject:array forKey:@"filters"]; but i can't change the dictonaries in the array because they are not mutable. how can i make them mutable?

  • Selection on table view causes parent view to change

    Hi there, I'm working on an iPad app and here's my scenario: I have a view which contains a table view inside of it. When the user selects an item on the table view, I would like the parent's view to change in a navigational manner. For those of you that have an iPad, this would be akin to the "Settings" app. But I guess in the "Settings" app, the right pane is composed of a grouped table view right?     Hi all, I am looking to execute a password change over Net-ssh and this code seems to hang: Net::SSH.start(server_ip, "user", :verbose => :debug ) do |session| session.process.popen3("ls") do |input, output, error| ["old_pass","test", "test"].each do |x| input.puts x end end end I know the connection works because using a simple exec I can get the output from ls on the remote server, but this hangs. Any ideas? The last message from debug is that the public key succeeded.

    Currently the left bar button default value is the title of the view that loaded the current one, in other words the view to be shown when the button is pressed (back button). I want to change the text shown on the button to something else. I tried putting the following line of code in the view controller's viewDidLoad method but it doesn't seem to work. self.navigationItem.leftBarButtonItem.title = @"Log Out"; What should I do?     Hi guys, Maybe I'm googling for the wrong thing but I can't find anything on this. How can I change the line height of a Label element in Flex? I have two labels in a VBox and there is quite a lot of white space between them which I would like to reduce. There's no line height property and setting the height property causes overlap.     I'm using MonoTouch. When I rotate to LandscapeRight/Left I want to change the location of some of my buttons but I'm not having any success. I'm replacing the button.Bounds with a new rectangleF and setting that value in the WillRotate, but that's not working. I am returning true in my ShouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation handler. In principal what I'm trying to do is allow as much as possible to automatically rotate but then fix a couple of buttons that end up in a bad place.

I am asked to build an admin tool so that the ROLE_ADMIN can change to any user in the site and view the site as that person (each person on the site may see different stuff depending on the role which is dynamically granted base on the database) and of course the admin should be able to switch back to admin without logging in.     Hello! This is hopefully a simple question: I have an OpenGL texture and would like to be able to change its opacity, how do I do that? The texture already has an alpha channel and blending works fine, but I want to be able to decrease the opacity of the whole texture, to fade it into the background. I have fiddled with glBlendFunc, but with no luck – it seems that I would need something like GL_SRC_ALPHA_MINUS_CONSTANT, which is not available. I am working on iPhone, with OpenGL ES.

    I have an asp.net app that uses System.IO.Path.GetTempFileName() for temporary files. In the production IIS environment (W2K3), the temp folder (System.IO.Path.GetTempPath()) points to C:\Windows\Temp. But on my XP dev machine it's C:\documents and settings\machinename\ASPNET\temp. Is it possible to change this folder without affecting other accounts on my machine?

The Windows API has a GetAdaptersInfo() routine which will give you that information, but I need the counterpart SetAdaptersInfo() which doesn't seem to exist. I've looked all over MSDN and the web and don't see how to do it on newer-than-Windows-NT machines. Any information is greatly appreciated.

    Sometime back I used a windows tool to see what a process is doing. This tool allowed me to inspect functions exported from DLL. It also allowed me to change the values passed to a function on the fly. I cannot recollect the name(not sure if that was free or commercial one). Could any one point to me solution that can do this? (Tools like ProcessExplorer, ProcessMonitor helps a bit.. this was better) Cheers, Jayan
