    I am trying to return the duration of the video but am having trouble. #YOUTUBE FEED #download the file: file = urllib2.urlopen('http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/2s0vk2wEMtA') #convert to string: data = file.read() #close file because we dont need it anymore: file.close() #entire feed root = etree.fromstring(data) for entry in root: for item in entry: print item When I print item, I see as the last element: Element '{http://gdata.youtube.com/schemas/2007}duration' at 0x10c4fb7d0 But I don't know how to get the value from this. Any advice?

How do I do this? Variables x, y, and z could be some other Java class types, and I just used "int" for simplicity.

  • Can Visual Studio manage function prototypes for me in C++ header files?

    In C++, the common practice is to declare functions in header files and define them in cpp files. This leads to always having two copies of every function's prototype. Then whenever I want to change a function's name/return value/parameter, I have to manually change it in both files. This seems unnecessarily tedious and there must be lots of people that share my pain, so is there a way to automate these changes between files in VS? Bonus points for vim solutions as well.

    Consider it that '_'s in a number doesn't change that number's value so 1000==1_000==10_00. The Problem: given numbers like 1_244_23 1412_2 1_1111 etc..., how could I decide whether certain number appears in that collection? For example: 1244_23 yes, 11_111 yes, 1412_1 no. How could using regex to solve this? I mean, if I could tell the regex engine just ignore these '_''s when matching then this problem becomes trivial? How could I do so?

    I have the follwoing code: $("input:checkbox").live('click', function() { alert($(this).val()); }); True is shown if the checkbox is checked. However, if the checkbox is checked and I uncheck it, the value shown is still true. How can I correct that? What is wrong with the code? Thanks

    I have a three column Table View populated by two NSMutableDictionaries which share the same keys (ie key | value1 | value2 ) with dict1(key,value1) and dict2(key,value2). I want to manually enter data in the third column and create the key/value objects in dict2. My example: UPDATE TRIPS SET locations = city + ', ' FROM (select Distinct city from poi where poi.trip_guid = trips.guid) Is it possible to refer to main table value (trips.guid) in subqueries? When i try to use trips.guid I get the error: "The multi-part identifier "trips.guid" could not be bound."

    KEYEVENTF_SILENT is a constant used in calls like this one: keybd_event(VK_OFF, 0, KEYEVENTF_SILENT, 0); keybd_event(VK_OFF, 0, KEYEVENTF_SILENT | KEYEVENTF_KEYUP, 0); But since I am using .net I don't know what the actual value of KEYEVENTF_SILENT is.     I am trying to test a controller method with the following code: it "should set an approved_at date and email the campaign's client" do @campaign = Campaign.create(valid_attributes) post :approve, id: @campaign.id.to_s @campaign.reload @campaign.approved_at.should_not be(nil) end However, when I run this test, I get the following error: Failure/Error: @campaign.reload ActiveRecord::RecordNotFound: Couldn't find Campaign without an ID When I run the analagous lines in the rails console, the reload works and the value is set as I need it to be. Why isn't reload working for me when I run the code in an rspec test?
