  • Is Adobe Flash 11.2 working with Nvidia hardware again in 12.04?

    I installed the newest Nvidia-Linux drivers version number 304.43 on 12.04 installation and all Flash Videos now show me "accelerated video rendering". Previous Nvidia drivers + Adobe Flash only rendered in software, at least since Adobe officially said they turned off "hardware acceleration" for Linux, because of unstable and unsecure drivers. Has this changed? Is hardware acceleration really back? Can anyone verify this as well? The Nvidia driver 304.43 patch notes said: Fixed a bug that caused VDPAU to hang when expanding the YouTube Flash Player. Hardware: Nvidia 8600M GT

  • Adobe premiere CS5 problem with the display driver

    This error is really hindering our project. I get an error, it started showing-up June 16th 2010. There are no windows updates at the on the same date as the error, other than (Windows Defender) Seems to happen when working with Image overlays. ERROR: "The NVIDIA OpenGL driver detected a problem with the display driver and is unable to continue. The application must close." We opened the side of the case in the possibility there is an over heating problem. Nvidia Driver ver 8.16.11.9175 (nVidia Quadro FX 1700) I am running: Windows 7 x64 Adobe premiere CS5 Production nVidia Quadro FX 1700 (MRGA14L) 4 Gig ram RAID 10 2 750GB drives Duo core 3.0 6MB L2 Cache This is at least three other people that have come across this error: NVidia Forum EVGA Forum NVidia Forum UPDATE: Having the case open did not help. I also installed New Nvidia drivers now I get a different error: *ERROR:*Your hardware configuration does not meet minimum specifications needed to run the application. The application must close. I ran Windows Update and installed all four updates so now I am waiting to see if the error occurs again. Anything beyond this I am out of options.

  • [Adobe Air] Can I catch a mouseUp event of an mx:Window that did not fire hte mouseDown?

    Hi, In an AIR application, I have one mx:TileList with several images. What I need to do is let the user drag and drop one of the images on the desktop, giving a feeling of a desktop widget. Firstly I tried to implement this using dragStart etc, but in the end I think it is easier to handle mouseDown and mouseUp on the TileList. In general the whole setup works as desired. When a mouseDown is detected on the TileList, I create a transparent mx:Window containing the corresponding image, and call the startMove() on the Window to simulate a dragging behavior. If I release the mouse, the Window stops moving as desired. My problem is that now I want some visual feedback during dragging. It works while the Window is moving, however I can't find a way to stop it when the user releases the mouse. The mouseUp is not fired from the TileList, nor from the s:WindowedApplication. I also tried to add a listener to the Window itself, but still with no luck.   • Adobe Reader 9.0 memory leak while loading-unloading PDF files every one second indefinitely

    I have c++ written MFC based application that has PDF object viewer as a part of the implementation. A whole thing works just fine with Adobe Reader 8.0. Once I switched to Adobe Reader 9.0 as a default PDF reader, I keep experiencing small memory leak that forces my application to crash within a half an hour of continuous loading-unloading different PDF files. Any ideas what might cause this memory leak and is there any cure besides replacing Adobe Reader 9.0 with anything else? (Works fine with Foxit PDF reader as well, by the way..)

    I'm working with adobe air and I have this code.. var urlReq = new air.URLRequest('http://google.com'); air.navigateToURL(urlReq); It's working correctly in that it is loading the page in the browser, but the issue is that adobe air is staying in the front and the browser is not being brought to the front... Perhaps it's because I'm working in runtime and not a complied app? (just off to try that now)

  • Adobe Reader process fails when starting second instance

    In our C# WinForms application, we generate PDF files and launch Adobe Reader (or whatever the default system .pdf handler is) via the Process class. Since our PDF files can be large (approx 200K), we handle the Exited event to then clean up the temp file afterwards. The system works as required when a file is opened and then closed again. However, when a second file is opened (before closing Adobe Reader) the second process immediately exits (since Reader is now using it's MDI powers) and in our Exited handler our File.Delete call should fail because it's locked by the now joined Adobe process. However, in Reader we instead get: There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found. The unusual thing is that if I put a debugger breakpoint before the file deletion and allow it to attempt (and fail) the deletion, then the system behaves as expected! I'm positive that the file exists and fairly positive that all handles/file streams to the file are closed before starting the process.   • "Error encountered while BER decoding" in Adobe Acrobat Pro X when applying timestamp

    I have a tedious problem with Acrobat Pro X 10.1.3.23: when I want to apply a timestamp to a document I always get that error. I have configured VeriSign TSA server http://timestamp.verisign.com/scripts/timstamp.dll and it returns that error. I have tried Comodo CA http://timestamp.comodoca.com/authenticode and Aruba https://servizi.arubapec.it/tsa/ngrequest.php but all three returned the same exact error. My PDFs are now signed without a certified timestamp and this is a problem for me. I'm obliged to sign documents and apply a certified timestamp at the same time. This seems to be a common error in Acrobat, but I found no solution to it. Can somebody help me?
