  • Mac Text Editor (with function list)

    So I've got a Mac in the post coming to me, and will probably be doing quite a bit of development on it so I am looking for a text editor (PHP + HTML mainly). I curently use Notepad++ on Windows and I simply cannot live without the function list plugin (It displays all functions in the current PHP file in a box on the right). Do any Mac text editors have this functionality? I am fairly sure that Notepad++ isn't available on an Apple. Thanks!

    I have about 1000 text files and I need to view each, and move it to a folder if it's the correct one. I can only do basic sorting by length/size, and I can't grep because the text is random. How can I do this besides manually openiing + saving each in gedit. I'm on Ubuntu Linux. Thanks

I would like to be able to do a similar thing in real time on my iPhone to another mobile. Something similar to autohotkey would be great, though I really don't care about all that extra autohotkey functionality. I'm just looking for text replacement that works seamlessly while I'm typing wherever I'm typing. I've heard that autohotkey runs on wine, but I'd really rather install something native to unix.   • Raphael js text positioning: centering text in a circle

    Hey everyone, I am using Raphael js to draw circled numbers. The problem is that each number has a different width/height so using one set of coordinates to center the text isn't working. The text displays differently between IE, FF, and safari. Is there a dynamic way to find the height/width of the number and center it accordingly?   • Permissions problem when copying files to /usr/share/tomcat6

    Hi, I am running springsource framework in ubuntu 10.01. In my home folder, I have installed springsource IDE. I have my tomcat6 appserver in the /usr/share/tomcat6. While executing a sample project springapp, I have created the springapp dir in /users/share/tomcat6/webapps/ folder using sudo as I am unable to do it directly. On running the ant deploy or ant deploywar command, I am unable to copy the sample file -index.jsp from my workspace in springsource IDE to springapp dir in /usr/share/tomcat6/webapps as I am getting the error permission denied while copying the .jsp file. Can anybody please provide suggestion as to how to overcome this issue? Regards

    I'm making a website that will act as a compendium for a video game. I noticed that a page from Wikia has a ton of useful content such as background stories and trivia for many of the "entities" in the game. According to their site: The text on Wikia sites is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike License 3.0 (Unported) (CC-BY-SA). I'm not a lawyer; so what is the legality of copying and pasting the information written there collaboratively by the hivemind, into my website? If needed I would not be opposed to pasting the content and providing a source link at the end of each paragraph. Can I paste the content into my site? Thanks for the help!

    Currently running Ubuntu 13.10 after a fresh install/re install due to this problem. The error occurs whenever I try to drag a file from the Ubuntu search( in the launcher ), to the desktop. the whole error message is as follows... "Error while copying. There was an error getting information about “/”." Show more details reveals the following... "The specified location is not supported" I don't understand the problem and can't see any clear way of fixing it. Any and all advice would be appreciated. :)

Problem is that when I put text into the "Containing text" field on Windows Explorer, it always misses the files and tells me no results returned. Then when I search the files one by one (painful at best), I find the files I need. Do I not understand the search feature well enough, or maybe I have it indexing wrong. I really don't care what I need to use to search the files, even a third-party app is fine with me, I just want to type an email address into a box and search all of my log files or email files and find out which one I am looking for. It can be Windows Search or something else, as long as I can find a way to get the job done I will be happy. Pay solutions are fine as well. Thanks everyone in advance.

So when use select sIFRed text it looks like nothing happens, it is selected but no one can see that cause both site and selected text background are black.
