  • SEO tool is telling me title, description and keywords don't exist, but they do. Where is the problem?

    I'm using the following tool to analyse how 'optimal' a site that I'm working on is for search engines: http://tools.seobook.com/general/spider-test/ I enter the URL for the site - http://ftmsuat.moneymate.com - into the search bar, and it returns a breakdown of the contents of the page. I'm a little confused by what I see though. According to the results, the page doesn't have a title, description or keywords. But if you check the source of the page, those elements are definitely there. So I'm wondering now, which is wrong? seobook.com or my page?

  • .Net reflection to get description of class / property etc?

    Hi, I know its unlikely but I was wondering if there is any way to get the comments (i.e. the bits after the ''') of a class or property..? I have managed to get a list of properties of a class using the PropertyInfo class but I cant find a way to get the comments / description.. I need it for a guide I am writing for the administrators of my site - it would be great if it could automatically update if new properties are added, so there is no need to worry about updating it in the future too much.   • Delphi: How to localize description for a menu shortcut?

    Is there a way to get a localized description of a shortcut like Ctrl+Z so that I get "Ctrl+Z" if the app runs on an English system and "Strg+Z" on a German system? The VCL function ShortCutToText isn't internationalized. The API function GetKeyNameText is a bit better but still not perfect: If one switches the regional settings of a German XP to English (US), it still produces German texts. Besides the results are in CAPITALS which is ugly. Clarification: I know how I can replace ShortCutToText or the Smkc* resource strings with customized versions. But to use that I need the translated strings. And I would like to get these from the OS (or similar). Update: It looks like Microsoft expects developers to do the translation on their own - see 2. in Associating a Menu Item with an Accelerator Key.

  • Is there a detailed description of optimizations in the Android build process?

    I've been curious as to all the optimizations that go into the building of an .apk. I'm curious because of two things I've tried in the past to bring down the size of my .apk: I have had a few large json assets in projects before, as well as a static sqlite database. I tried bringing down the size of the apk by gzipping them before the build process, but the resulting size is exactly the same. I just today tried pngcrush on my /drawable/ folders. The resulting build was exactly the same size as before. I would think that perhaps #1 could be explained by the zip process, but simply zipping the /drawable/ folders in #2 result in different-sized files. Perhaps the build process runs something akin to pngcrush? Regardless, I was wondering if anyone knew where to find a detailed description of all the optimizations in the Android build process. I don't want to waste my time trying to optimize what is already automated, and also I think it'd help my understanding of the resulting apk. Does anyone know if this is documented anywhere?

  • The best way to return related data in a SQL statement

    I have a question on the best method to get back to a piece of data that is in a related table on the other side of a many-to-many relationship table. My first method uses joins to get back to the data, but because there are multiple matching rows in the relationship table, I had to use a TOP 1 to get a single row result. My second method uses a subquery to get the data but this just doesn't feel right. So, my question is, which is the preferred method, or is there a better method?   • PHP 5.2 to 5.3 not upgrading, no errors

  • Where can I find a description of the old British Standard structured flow charts?

    Some professional organisation defined these in, IIRC, the early 80s as similar to the more well known flow charts, but "structured". Instead of having arbitrary "goto" arrows, they had the equivalent of loops etc. They were standardized, and I vaguely remember studying them briefly at O Level. Of course they were about as useful as the well-known chocolate teapot, but I'd still like to be able to find a reference guide for them if possible - for roughly the same reason I was looking for a reference for standard Basic a while back. Google tells me - well, nothing really. They may as well never have existed. Which is probably nearly (and perhaps completely) true - I certainly never heard of them anywhere else except when I was at school. There's a chance that they may even be my computer science teachers little joke.

    Hey! I'm fixing a program but I'm facing a problem and I cant really realize what's the wrong on the code. I would appreciate any help. I didnt post all the code...but i think with this part you can get an idea of it. With the following function enter() I wanna add user commands' datas to a list. eg. user give the command: "enter james bond 007 gun" 'james' is supposed to be the name, 'bond' the surname, 007 the amount and the rest is the description. I use strtok in order to 'cut' the command,then i put each name on a temp array. Then i call InsertSort in order to put the datas on a linked list but in alphabetical order depending on the surname that users give.     I have about 12-15 images that I want to align together in a grid, with text under each image. I thought about using a table, but I hear that tables aren't the best way to go these days. I tried a few other things, but nothing seemed to work the way I wanted it to. Infopath? SPD? VS2010? How do I handle rights to make sure only the board can access the board edit form? What kind of workflow do I use? When do I start the workflow(s)? What do I use to develop the workflow(s)? How do I handle rights when showing the listview with all requests? How can I build the links in the mails sent to the different groups. I understand the basic C concepts but this whole "class" and "instance" stuff is really confusing. In the Fraction.h file the @interface is defining numerator and denominator as an integer, but what else is it doing below with the (void)? and what is the purpose of re-defining below? I am also quite confused as to what is happening with the (void) and (int) portions of the Fraction.m and how all of this is brought together in the main.m file. I guess what I am trying to say is that this seems like a fairly easy program to learn how the different portions work with each other - could anyone explain in non-tech jargon?
