    Hi, I have created a distributed group which have to send a auto reply when receiving a mail. I know that it is impossible to send a auto reply within a distributed group, but following a guide I have created a mail account called “noreply”. In outlook I have created a rule in the “noreply” account where I chose following conditions: Send to a person or distributed list (where I selected my distributed group) Then to specify what to do with that message I selected Have server reply using a specific message I’ve created my message and saved it. But when I try to write an e-mail to the distributed group it doesn’t send back the reply message. Does anyone knows what I’m doing wrong? Sincerely Mestika

  • Exchange can't send emails with attachments

    No one in our organization can send emails with attachments. Emails without attachments go through fine, but if an attachment is included, an error appears in the Server Failures folder under Sync Issues. The error is "The following message had an error and synchronization of it was skipped (0xc0090081)". We are using Symantec Mail Security, which we shut down to try to troubleshoot the problem, and now that fails to load. Any ideas as to what to check? I'm sorry I don't have more complete information, but I'm helping someone try to figure this out. I'm not the admin myself. Thanks.

  • Can't Mount Databases in the Recovery Storage Group in Exchange 2003

    After restoring some mail stores, mounting them in the recovery storage group errors out. So far a repair with eseutil (which the log says was successful) and a server reboot has been tried. A defrag is currently running on the mail store I need to go through this again to post the exact error codes, so I will be updating this question. But I thought someone who does this a lot might have a "More times than not..." answer in the meantime.

  • Exchange Server 2007 Transport Errors -- SMTP Session Hangs

    Hello, I was doing some changes to the server (writing an Transport Agent). After trying to install it, I started to get some errors. Now, when connecting to the SMTP server the session hangs just after finishing the DATA section. I'm not sure what happened, I disabled my transport agent and uninstalled it, then restarted the server. The problem persists. In the Event Viewer, four of the same errors show up: Source: FSCTransportScanner Category: Scan Error Event ID: 5021 Description: Unable to retrieve internet monitor interface. What could have happened?

    How do I increase performance in OWA 2010 SP2? I am running CAS on a seperate installation, which has 8GB RAM and 4 CPU cores - running virtualized in a vmware environment. However, the load times are pretty bad, so is there any way to improve those? I am thinking of installing a linux cache-stuff-server in front of the OWA, but will that work? And how should it be done? Allright, I "fixed" it - was just something temporary issue. Thanks for your replies

    Here is the scenario that I am in and am stuck on how to get this the correct way. What I'm looking for is a syntax that will provide me with statistics on what users have emailed "Sent" for the day. I would like to know get information on what all users of a specific distribution group has emailed for the day. I have tried the following to no avail.   • OOF (Out of Office) is not working for remote users (Outlook Anywhere)

    I'm not sure how long this issue has been happening, but recently a few of the remote sales users were going to a sales meeting and wanted to set their Out of Office... however in Outlook 2010, they get this error message: "Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable" When I run the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer, Autodiscover completes fine, but the next step fails: Exception details: Message: The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.   • Exchange 2010 setup /prepareAD fails to run

    I've tried installing Exchange 2010 on Windows Server 2008 R2 (only domain controller and all-in-one system). I did setup.exe /prepareAD, setup /prepareSchema and it worked fine the first time I did it. Unfortunately due to problem with Hub Transport installation related to (at least from what I've read) IPv6 being disabled (some say disabling it helped them while some enabling helped them). I did it the proper way by using registry entry to disable IPv6 but it still errored out. So i managed to uninstall everything (renamed some old entries in registry of failed Hub Transport roles and tried to reinstal Exchange after rebooting server.   • Set up tunnel to HE.net and now only ipv6.google.com works, but other sites ping fine.

    I'm setting up IPv6 using my router which is running OpenWRT, version Backfire 10.03.1-rc4. I made a tunnel using Hurricane Electric's tunnel broker and set it up on the router and I'm using RADVD to hand out IPv6 addresses. My problem is that on computers on the network, I can only access ipv6.google.com using a browser, but other sites seem to be loading forever and won't open in any browser. I can ping and traceroute to them fine, but can't open them with a browser. I can open any site normally with a browser from the router. Stopping firewall service on the router doesn't help, so it's probably not a firewall issue. All AAAA records resolve fine, so it's probably not a DNS issue. Computers on the network get their IPv6 addresses fine, so it's probably not a radvd issue. Similar setup worked fine for SixXs, but I'm having problems with my PoP there, so I decided to move to HE. After I add my test user in the Organization Management Group and I run again manually .\Setup.exe /mode:Install /role:Mailbox /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms /Targetdir:C:\EX2013 And the Exchange 2013 installation finish without any error. That prove that the problem with DSC is Permission right.

    i have one exchange server 2010, which is working fine with one domain. my exchange is working as follows pop3 collector collect emails from one master catchall account and then deliver to exchange server, this working perfect. now what i want to add another domain to same exchange, i have added new domain as trusted domain & email policy and this new domain email account works fine with internal emails. now what i have done, i again forward new email account to same catchall account. but if i send email from any other external email address email is bounce, i can see email receive by pop3 collector but bounce by exchange server. to make you more clear let me explain logic on which i am working. i have 2 domains 1. domain1.com ([email protected]) 2. domain2.com ([email protected] -->[email protected]) now on my machine with exchange server i have pop3 collector which collect all emails from [email protected] and forward to exchange 2010 server. all emails to domain1.com is working perfect but when i send email to [email protected] this email redirect to [email protected] perfectly but when exchanger server receive this email, it bounce. i have also study the url link text and follow the whole process but no success. i also check that my DNS/MX is working fine as the bounce message is going from my exchange server. EDIT the only problem is with accepted domain, as email come to exchange server then bounce back. i just try this today i create one user called test, then i goto his properties -- email there was only one email account [email protected] i try to send email to [email protected] from internet (email bounce) then again i go to test user properties -- email and Add one email [email protected] again u try to send email to t*[email protected]* from internet (email received) i think the only problem is with accepted domain but in hub transport , it shows accepted is there any way to check does domain is properly accepted or not in exchange 2010 server.     The problem that I have is simple. We have recently upgraded from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. Everything went fine, and there are very few complaints. In Exchange 2003, some of our OWA users liked the Threading view, these users love the conversations view, especially with the cross-mailbox threading. The problem is that some of these users are now complaining that old e-mails that they got from systems like bugzilla were migrated across correctly threaded, but the new e-mails are not being correctly threaded. If I look at the mail source using an IMAP client then I can see that all of the mails that are turning up as being threaded have the (Microsoft specific) Thread-Index header, and the mails that are not getting grouped do not have this header. The question is, how can I make the webmail client respect the normal threading? That is, is there a way to Make the OWA client use the standard In-Reply-To and References headers, or Make Exchange generate the Thread-Index headers for Outlook and OWA to use?
