• What SQL is being sent from a SqlCommand object

  I have a SqlCommand object on my c# based asp.net page. The SQL and the passed parameters are working the majority of the time. I have one case that is not working, I get the following error: String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated. I understand the error and but all the columns in the database should be long enough to hold everything being sent. My questions, Is there a way to see what the actual SQL being sent to the database is from SqlCommand object? I would like to be able to email the SQL when an error occurs. Thanks, Justin

I want to download emails from "ALLMAIL" mailbox folder. as you know ALLMAIL folder consists of Inbox,Sent Mail and Draft Mails. Here my requirement is to distinguish Draft from Inbox and Sent mails.   I have a list view with virtual mode set to true and other things. It doing ok. But 1) Say there are 25 items and 15 of them are visible, that is to see the rest of 10 items need to scroll down. 2) Before scrolling swap two items, say myItems[0], it must be visible & myItems[20], it must be not visible scroll required. 3) Now select the first item, it was swapped, you now have two items selected, both 0 indexed and 20 indexed ones. When after swap, those two list view items are of same Position and same Bounds. But before 20-indexed item's Position was (-1, -1) and Bounds was (0,0,0,0). How come 0-indexed item didn't change its position & size? How to solve this ?

• Android application: showing overlay items in AsyncTask

  I am building an android application that uses google maps to overlay items. The latitude and longitude for the items I get from a MySQL database. To do this I connect to a php script using HTTP in Async Task. My code for displaying items on the map is in the onPostExecute() method of Async Task. Everything works fine but when I for example rotate the phone all my overlayed items disappear. How can I resolve this issue? Should overlaying the items happen in the main thread? If so, I need to somehow pass the information from the async taks to the main thread, which I have looked into but have not been able to get that working. If somebody knows a good and right way to do this, I would really appreciate the help.

I understand that by default cookies are sent with HTTP request, but is there any way at all to overwrite that behavior and not send the cookie? • Presenting UINavigationController modally -- problem setting up tool and nav bar items in root view controller viewDidLoad

  In my iOS app I'm creating and presenting a UINavigationController modally like so: MyViewController *myvc = [[[MyViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"MyViewController" bundle:nil] autorelease]; UINavigationController *navVC = [[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:myvc] autorelease]; [self presentModalViewController:navVC animated:YES]; In the MyViewController viewDidLoad I'm creating and setting toolbar items for the navigation controller's toolbar, like so: self.navigationController.toolbar.items = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:(items...), nil]; the problem I'm having is that the items don't show up. If instead I call a method from MyViewController's viewDidLoad method that adds the toolbar items via performSelector:withObject:afterDelay:0, then it works perfectly. So there's obviously some race condition going on here with the initial presentation of the UINavigationController, initialization of its toolbar/navbar, and the initialization of the nav bar's specified initial root view controller. I verified in the debugger that the root view controller's viewDidLoad is called after the UINavigationController's viewDidLoad method. In fact, the root view controller's viewDidLoad method is not called until presentModalViewController: is called, and the UINavigationController's viewDidLoad is called within initWithRootViewController, so doesn't that imply that the UINavigationController object should be "all ready to go", including its nav bar and toolbars? I thought at first that the navigation controller's toolbar object may not exist yet at MyViewController's viewDidLoad time, but it clearly does. At least, NSLog shows that it is not nil during MyViewController's viewDidLoad method. In fact, the UINavigationController's toolbar object is identical at both times: in the root view controller's viewDidLoad, and in the "setupToolbar" method that I called with performSelector:withObject:afterDelay, so it's not getting "re-initialized" somehow. So, what's going on here? Why aren't my toolbar modifications "sticking" in MyViewController's viewDidLoad, and why does performing them in the next iteration of the runloop (performSelector:withObject:afterDelay:0) make it work? What is the "right" way of setting up initial navbar / toolbar items in code from the rootViewController of the UINavigationController?

  I'm running MOSS 2007 and have created a new site under an existing one using sitemanager.aspx. I've done this on two machines. on one of those everything works correctly, while on the other some of the menu items for pages in the site seem to be gone. Also on the faulty site I get "Access denied" when I click "Version history". The permissions on both sites should be the same. I attach a screenshot of how the menus differ from each other. The one to the right (the faulty one) is unfortunately not in English but the items appearing on it are "Open link in a new window", "Copy", "Edit page settings" and "Version history". • How do I receive email sent to postmaster?

  I have a VPS server that I would like to get an SSL certificate for, and the CA needs an email address to verify that I own the domain. The options are: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and an address to @whoisguard.com. The server runs CentOS 5, and all I have set up for email is sendmail. I don't have POP3 or IMAP. According to this Wikipedia article on Postmaster, it says that all SMTP servers support postmaster and it cites RFC 5321. Does sendmail conform to this? I tried sending a test mail to [email protected], but I don't know how to receive it on my server. Do I need to open up any ports? I haven't gotten a message back saying that my test mail failed to send, so my server must have gotten it.

  I have a Linux server that has local mail service. There are few user accounts on this server. User may send the mail to each other but that only restrict to LAN environment only. For example, I may # mail user1 to send mail to user1. User are not able to send mail to public. Some service like hylafax using this local mail service to send notification of fax status. I don't want to manage and maintain local mail service anymore. I have subscribed a package from ISP to host a public domain of my own. I wish to have my hylafax service to able to send the notification mails to public mail server, is that possible to do it? It is great if all mails that send to local mail server may forward to public mail server. That makes the local mail service serve mail forward only.

• Email can't be sent to my domain

  Hi Folks, Basically I have my domain howcode.com bought at DomainMonster.com. I have set it all up to point to MediaTemple nameservers and everything works - mostly - fine. I have registered an email address [email protected]. The setup is, I presume, working correctly. I can successfully send emails with the account. And I presume I can receive them - but the problem is, nobody can send them to me. Emailing from a regular, non-Googlemail account appears to work fine but it never arrives in the inbox. But when you email from a GoogleMail address, an error message is instantly returned saying this: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [email protected] Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. • Internal users can't receive email sent by application

  We have an application server that hosts a CRM application. It is using SMTP on it's own server to send emails. If I send an email using the application to [email protected], it shows up in my inbox. If I send an email to [email protected], it never shows up. It doesn't matter what address I put in for @MyCompanyDomain.com, they never get through. Any email addresses outside our domain/firewall get through. We're using Exchange 2007 and when I look at the message tracking logs, the missing messages don't show up there, either. Is there something I need to configure in Exchange or the SMTP server on the application server? I can't figure out why emails get outside the firewall but internal emails never show up.   I'm having an issue that is a little strange. I have a cPanel webserver that I own and have root. I was testing out emailing and noticed some issues.   When I send an email and I get a response, more often than not, in the To: is my email address. However, my email address also ends up in the From: column.The reply-from address is nowhere to be found;so I don't have any address with which I can send my reply, as both of them have just my email address. What am I doing wrong here? Is there some set-up in my Tools Options which is incorrect? The set-up in Options is pretty difficult to understand and it doesn't offer any to or reply-from choices. This is critical because I just cannot answer my emails because there is no one I can send a reply to.

  I have the following problem and really need your help I'm implementing a small server to receive request from client on port 18999(just sample) using TCP socket. When I tested my server by using a lot of requests from a tablet through a router, I got the ARP problem(?) My net work just like: TABLET <------- WIRELESS ROUTER <------- MY SERVER (LINUX) Problems: 1. Can not connect to my Linux any more ( telnet, ping v.v...unreachable) 2. I use serial cable to connect to my Linux machine and use Wiresharp (from Windows) to catch the send message from Linux. It says that Linux keeps sending out continuously every 3 seconds ARP messages like the following: xx:xx:99:77:ff:69 ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff ARP 60 Who has 192.168.10.2? Tell 192.168.10.3 In the above message: xx:xx:99:77:ff:69 my Linux MAC address 192.168.10.2 my Tablet address 192.168.10.3 my Linux IP address Can you help me figure out the problem? Or tell me the way to detect the problem and reset the network back to normal (maybe restart Linux but I want to detect problem and restart automatically) UPDATE: 1. The above network works normally if tablet sends messages to my LINUX in normal speed (but also down after 48 hours) 2. The router works again after I unplugged my Linux ethernet cable (RJ45) from router. 3. The wireless network still works ( I can browser the router page from tablet) 4. When I use: ifconfig down then ifconfig up , the Linux restarts (?????????)

• Immediately tell which output was sent to stderr

  When automating a task, it is sensible to test it first manually. It would be helpful, though, if any data going to stderr was immediately recognizeable as such, and distinguishable from the data going to stdout, and to have all the output together so it is obvious what the sequence of events is. One last touch that would be nice is if, at program exit, it printed its return code. All of these things would aid in automating. Yes, I can echo the return code when a program finishes, and yes, I can redirect stdout and stderr; what I'd really like it some shell, script, or easy-to-use redirector that shows stdout in black, shows stderr interleaved with it in red, and prints the exit code at the end. Is there such a beast? [If it matters, I'm using Bash 3.2 on Mac OS X]. Update: Sorry it has been months since I've looked at this. I've come up with a simple test script: #!/usr/bin/env python import sys print "this is stdout" print >> sys.stderr, "this is stderr" print "this is stdout again" In my testing (and probably due to the way things are buffered), rse and hilite display everything from stdout and then everything from stderr. The fifo method gets the order right but appears to colourize everything following the stderr line. ind complained about my stdin and stderr lines, and then put the output from stderr last. Most of these solutions are workable, as it is not atypical for only the last output to go to stderr, but still, it'd be nice to have something that worked slightly better.

  I have my own VPS, on which I want to run a simple SVN + chiliproject setup. I have re-installed SVN, CHILI and the OS several times, and it always works for a couple of hours/days and then it just stops working. Well, everything works, except I can't upload any files. Committing directories seems to work just fine, but when I try to commit a file it breaks. What I should note, perhaps, is that I use Ubuntu 12.04.3 with ruby 1.9.3, mysql 14.14 and I have it set up that Chiliproject handles the authentication and authorization for the project. It works, because I can commit directories and read it all correctly, though I can't upload files. Help would really be appreciated, as I don't know what on earth is going on with this 'truncated http response body'. I tried to read them with wireshark, but it basically gave me the same information. With regards, Ps. I have no clue what the delay between put and delete is, as it's a file of a mere 500 bytes, so it's uploaded in approximately a second. Pps. I copied this question from StackOverflow to this site, as I didn't know the existence of this site and another user suggested that I'd get more answers here, as it's basically a server fault.

• How can I restore programs that were sent to the background (Ubuntu)

  I was fooling around with my dual display setup (turned on my second monitor is almost all) and a handful of programs that were running seem not to be available anymore. Thunderbird, Gvim, Tomboy ps shows them, but I can't see them. Can't cycle to them with alt-tab. They aren't just in some other window. I'm not even sure how to start figuring out where everything went. Ideas?

But in some environment the 'dmesg' shows segfault messages related to my application, but application uptime is much older. Can segfault be suppressed and application doesn't receive signal? Or what errors from dmesg can mean ?
