  • Validation - Data Integrity

    - by Thomas
    A table can only store 10 records in a particular state, 10 users over 30 years for example, the others must be less than 30 years. It is a business rule and as such should be respected. How to ensure that state? Think: multiple users accessing this table.

  • Activiti Engine: Task Event - User is null

    - by sockeqwe
    I have a problem, which should be simple to solve, but i can't find the method to call to solve this problem: My problem is, that every Task Event (org.activiti.engine.task.Event) returnes null by calling Event.getUserId(); If I take a look into the database I see that the database table ACT_HI_COMMENT has null as value for the column USER_ID_ for every row. I generate these TaskEvents programmatically by calling (for example) processEngine.getTaskService().addComment(task.getId(), null, commentMessage); processEngine.getTaskService().addUserIdentityLink(task.getId(), user.getId(), IDENTITY_LINK_OBSERVER); I guess there is a simple method that I must call to solve this problem, something like processEngine.setCurrentUser(authenticatedUser.getId()); Any suggestions?

  • How to see full compile path in Eclipse?

    - by alleywayjack
    I have looked for an answer for this nearly every where that I can think of, but there doesn't seem to be any way to actually SEE what Eclipse "runs" to compile the projects (as it does need the JDK installed and visible to actually build). I ask because I imported a few jars into my project, and even though I've looked through all the javac documentation, I can't seem to figure out how to mimic it quite like Eclipse does. I really, really need to be able to compile on the command line in this case - Eclipse or any other IDE just isn't what is needed. I started to look through the Eclipse source, and although this sounds lazy, I just became overwhelmed and figured I would ask here first, hoping someone else had the same question at one point.

  • How to extract product weight from this HTML

    - by Blankman
    My HTML looks like this: <td class="main"><b>Product Weight (2.83 lbs in 1 container)</b></td> I need to get the value 2.83 from the HTML. Need help with the regex. I have this: Pattern p = Pattern.compile( "<td\\sclass=\"main\"><b>Product\\sWeight\\s\\s((?:\\d+\\.)?\\d+ \\w{3})"); But doesn't seem to be working. Am I missing an escape or something?

  • How to create an ARGB_8888 pixel value?

    - by vidstige
    Say I want to create an array of pixel values to pass into the createBitmap method described here. I have three int values r, g, b in the range 0 - 0xff. How do I transform those into a opaque pixel p? Does the alpha channel go in the high byte or the low byte? I googled up the documentation but it only states that: Each pixel is stored on 4 bytes. Each channel (RGB and alpha for translucency) is stored with 8 bits of precision (256 possible values.) This configuration is very flexible and offers the best quality. It should be used whenever possible. So, how to write this method? int createPixel(int r, int g, int b) { retrurn ? }

  • Ignoring all line feeds in a FreeMarker template

    - by Will
    I'm trying out FreeMarker, not for a web application but to generate text within a desktop application. I'd like to get the text without any linefeeds, however it always appends a linefeed. For example, this would produce "blah blah\n" <#if docType=1> blah blah <#if docType=2> more blah <#/if> Any ideas? Bunching it all into one line works, but is horrible. Thanks.

  • How to set Camera View as background with views over it?

    - by Android Student
    So, I'm trying to make the background to one of my apps look "futuristic." I thought of an idea to make the screen look almost transparent yet have views over it. So, it would look something like this: I'm thinking that I can use the camera to capture the background of the phone (without taking a picture, just having the real time view in the background) and then, if possible, place a semi-transparent slightly blurred ImageView over that. Finally, on top of that I can place the other views including the ImageButtons. So, my question is how would I go about doing this? I have searched but haven't found anything relevant. It must be possible; its just how to do it? I don't expect you to give me all the code as an answer, just if you have any ideas that can help or links or code that can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  • how to run TimerTask off main UI thread?

    - by huskyd97
    I am having trouble with a TimerTask Interfering with In App Purchasing (Async Tasks). I am weak with Threads, so I believe it is running on the main UI thread, eating up resources. How can I run this outside the UI thread? I have searched, and tried some suggestions using handlers. but seems like I get the same result, app gets really laggy. when I don't run this task (refreshes every 500mS), the activity runs smoothly, and there are no hangs during In app purchases. Your help is appreciated, code snippet below: public class DummyButtonClickerActivity extends Activity { protected Timer timeTicker = new Timer("Ticker"); private Handler timerHandler = new Handler(); protected int timeTickDown = 20; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.mainhd); // start money earned timer handler TimerTask tick = new TimerTask() { public void run() { myTickTask(); } }; timeTicker.scheduleAtFixedRate(tick, 0, 500); // 500 ms each } // End OnCreate protected void myTickTask() { if (timeTickDown == 0) { /// run my code here //total = total + _Rate; timerHandler.post(doUpdateTimeout); } else if(timeTickDown < 0) { // do nothing } timeTickDown--; } private Runnable doUpdateTimeout = new Runnable() { public void run() { updateTimeout(); } }; private void updateTimeout() { // reset tick timeTickDown = 2; // 2* 500ms == once a second } }

  • replace capturing group

    - by Don
    Hi, If I have a regex with a capturing group, e.g. foo(_+f). If I match this against a string and want to replace the first capturing group in all matches with baz so that foo___f blah foo________f is converted to: foobaz blah foobaz There doesn't appear to be any easy way to do this using the standard libraries. If I use Matcher.replaceAll() this will replace all matches of the entire pattern and convert the string to baz blah baz Obviously I can just iterate through the matches, store the start and end index of each capturing group, then go back and replace them, but is there an easier way? Thanks, Don

  • using AutoCompleteTextField in wicket without String as the generic type

    - by Manuel
    Hi! This question follows this: handling to onchange event of AutoCompleteTextField in wicket I'm trying to use the AutoCompleteTextField with a custom class as the generic type, and to add an AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior. What I mean is I want to have a AutoCompleteTextField<SomeClass> myAutoComplete = ...; and after that add a AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior: myAutoComplete.add(new AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior("onchange") { @Override protected void onUpdate(AjaxRequestTarget target) { System.out.println( "Value: "+getValue() ); } }); The problem is that for some reason, adding that behavior makes the form try to set the model object with a String (even though the AutoCompleteTextField has a generic type of SomeClass), causing a ClassCastException when the onchange event fires. Is there a way to use AutoCompleteTextField without it being AutoCompleteTextField<String>? I couldn't find any example. Thanks for your time! and thanks to the user biziclop for his help in this matter.

  • Hibernate - One design problem

    - by Yatendra Goel
    I am learning Hibernate from the tutorial on JBoss website. I have a confusion in a code example located here. There is a Cat class code at 4.1. A simple POJO example. This Cat class has a reference to his mother as private Cat mother; Q1. If the class has an identifier property as id, then wouldn't it be better to store the cat's mother's id instead of cat's mother object. means instead of private Cat mother; wouldn't it be better to have private long motherId; `

  • what is serialization and how it works

    - by Rozer
    I know the serialization process but have't implemented it. In my application i have seen there are various classes that has been implemented serilizable interface. consider following class public class DBAccessRequest implements Serializable { private ActiveRequest request = null; private Connection connection = null; private static Log log = LogFactory.getLog(DBAccessRequest.class); public DBAccessRequest(ActiveRequest request,Connection connection) { this.request = request; this.connection = connection; } /** * @return Returns the DB Connection object. */ public Connection getConnection() { return connection; } /** * @return Returns the active request object for the db connection. */ public ActiveRequest getRequest() { return request; } } just setting request and connection in constructor and having getter setter for them. so what is the use of serilizable implementation over here...

  • What does the exception "javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Broken pipe" signify?

    - by Ruepen
    I'm getting the following error: javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Broken pipe Now I have seen questions/answers with respects to the socket exception, but this error is coming from a different package. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW, I am seeing quite a lot of these errors in a struts web app Weblogic Node logs and I am thinking that it has to do with end users closing their web browser before the page reloads/executes the next step (database transaction which takes quite a bit of time to execute, anywhere from 30 seconds to 4 mins).

  • Launch Activity with Intent Filter on Right Time

    - by user511853
    Hi. I want to launch my own media player application when I want to watch a video from Youtube. When I write android:scheme="http" and android:host="m.youtube.com" it is OK. But, it asks everywhere in m.youtube.com to open my app. So, it gets annoying. I tried to use pathPattern, pathPrefix and path to solve this but I didn't get ahead. All I want is clearly this: When the link is like "http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F%gl=US#" the intent filter shouldn't launch my app. When the link is like "http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?xl=xl_blazer&v=k3Cdqx1qFX8" my application should be launched. Is there anyone that can help me?

  • Socket Programming : Inputstream Stuck in loop - read() always return 0

    - by Atom Skaa ska Hic
    Server side code public static boolean sendFile() { int start = Integer.parseInt(startAndEnd[0]) - 1; int end = Integer.parseInt(startAndEnd[1]) - 1; int size = (end - start) + 1; try { bos = new BufferedOutputStream(initSocket.getOutputStream()); bos.write(byteArr,start,size); bos.flush(); bos.close(); initSocket.close(); System.out.println("Send file to : " + initSocket); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.println(e.getLocalizedMessage()); disconnected(); return false; } return true; } Client Side public boolean receiveFile() { int current = 0; try { int bytesRead = bis.read(byteArr,0,byteArr.length); System.out.println("Receive file from : " + client); current = bytesRead; do { bytesRead = bis.read(byteArr, current, (byteArr.length-current)); if(bytesRead >= 0) current += bytesRead; } while(bytesRead != -1); bis.close(); bos.write(byteArr, 0 , current); bos.flush(); bos.close(); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.println(e.getLocalizedMessage()); disconnected(); return false; } return true; } Client side is multithreading,server side not use multithreading. I just paste some code that made problem if you want see all code please tell me. After I debug the code, I found that if I set max thread to any and then the first thread always stuck in this loop. That bis.read(....) always return 0. Although, server had close stream and it not get out of the loop. I don't know why ... But another threads are work correctly. do { bytesRead = bis.read(byteArr, current, (byteArr.length-current)); if(bytesRead >= 0) current += bytesRead; } while(bytesRead != -1);
