• How do I make non-framework code to framework code? (PHP)

  I just started using CakePHP and it's very different from just normal procedural or basic OOP PHP. I am still learning PHP and still read "beginning PHP/mysql" books that teaches you basic PHP. Also lots of sites online provide code that isn't for a framework. Is the only way to make non-framework code to say a framework, say cakePHP, by learning cakePHP thoroughly than rewriting the code yourself to fit the MVC model?

  I saw a delayed example in David Pollak's "Beginning Scala". I tried to adapt that, by trial and error. Why can't I use parantheses when I call t? Where can I find more documentation on delaying functions?

The 2 situations I know of are: with a new function in a "with" statement as a note, any new block (in if-then-else, loops, or just beginning a block for no other reason) won't create a new scope.   I've been handed a Byte[] that contains a file. I need to pass this to another method that is expecting two parameters, a char* to the beginning of the file and a char* to the end of the file. I'm assuming I need to pin the array first so it doesn't get collected. I don't imagine I can then just cast the first and last elements, right?

  I often find this strange CDATA tag in XML files: <![CDATA[]]> I have observed that this CDATA tag always comes at the beginning, and then followed by some stuff. But sometimes it is used, sometimes it is not. I assume it is to mark that some "data" will be inserted after that. But what kind of "data"? Isn't anything I write in XML tags some sort of "data"?

We load this SWF at the beginning with the Loader class but then the client will access a very few of them at that moment.
