• Asp.Net gridview customization

  Hi If you go to http://ifdefined.com/btnet/bugs.aspx you will see a long list of sample data in an asp.net gridview control. What I need to do is something similar. I need to implement the filtering system by placing dropdown controls with dynamic values on the headers and then filter the record according to them. If you look carefully they are filtering the data based on multiple drodown selections as well. Kindly help me out. Any kind of input is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

• Apache2 on Ubuntu Server w/ CGI, FastCGI, mod_php

  I've looked at various websites on configuring Apache with cgi and can't get mod_fcgid to work. It works fine using mod_php5, but I wanted to compare performance using cgi and fastcgi. I tried methods using FGCIWrapper among various other techniques and the only one that didn't result in an unlogged 403 or download of the file was using "Action application/x-httpd-php /usr/bin/php-cgi" When trying to configure mod_fcgid the file normally just started a download of an unprocessed file. I used wget to check headers and type was "application/x-httpd-php" At one point I was able to get to the page, but it resulted in a 403, which was listed in access.log, but not error.log (I was told it should be in there too) I tried to get it working on a fresh install of Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS and 10.10 and had the same results on both, so I'm not doing something correctly in terms of configuration. I tried virtualmin and could only get mod_php to work. The page just prompted a download when selecting cgi or fcgi from the control panel.

  The google page speed tool recommends me to set 'Expires' headers for images etc. But what is the most efficient way to set an Expires header for an image? • How can I keep doxygen from documenting #defines in a C file?

  I have #define values in headers that I certainly want Doxygen to document but I have others in C files that I treat as static constants and I don't want Doxygen to document them. Something as simple and stupid as #define NUMBER_OF(a) (sizeof((a))/sizeof((a)[0])) #define MSTR(e) #e How can I keep Doxygen from putting those #defines in the documentation it creates? I've tried marking it with @internal but that didn't seem to help. A somewhat-related question on Doxygen and #define, how can I get: #define SOME_CONSTANT 1234 /**< An explanation */ to put "SOME_CONSTANT" and "An explanation" but not "1234" in the output?

• Initial state of autoCreateRowSorter in Swing JTable

  I have this JTable on my Swing app with the autoCreateRowSorter enabled. My table only has 3 columns, two strings and one int, it works well for all of them when I click the column headers. However, I'm looking for way to do it programatically. I wanted to set the "initial state" for this table. With the Windows look and feel, the column header (when sorted) has a little arrow showing the sort order. But at startup that doesn't show, I have to do one initial click. How can I do that by code?

• Calling a WCF WebService in PHP via wsHttpBinding.

  I have a WCF webservice I can connect to it via basicHttp, but not wsHttp. I try to conenct to it via wshttp via the following: $service = new SoapClient ("http://service.companyname.local:6666/Service/?wsdl", array( "location" => "http://service.companyname.local:6666/Service/WCF", "trace" => true, 'soap_version' => SOAP_1_2 ) ); The call to the SoapClient constructor returns fine. When I try to call one using $client-FunctionName, the page just sits there loading for quite a while, and eventually returns the error "Error Fetching http headers". What exactly is this supposed to mean and how do I fix it? (Consuming the service from .Net client works perfectly.)

The BoxList should be able to: reorder by draging & droping items drag item from one BoxList to another display preview (ghost version) of dragged item show drop location (like a line between items where the dragged will be inserted) I hope there is some solution from microsoft (in toolkit for example), but if not I all be happy with any working solution.   I am trying to create a DataTable with a multi row header. The years headers can be fixed as I don't want to do sorting by that. Is there a way to do that in Google Visualizations? • cache problem in asp.net

  I'm seeing an issue of some static pages that are using the browser cache, which is not desired. To prevent caching, I'm setting <clientCache cacheControlMode="DisableCache" /> in the relevant <location> tag in web.config If I open the page in Firebug (in the Net tab), I see that the Response headers have Cache-Control: no-cache which is correct, but the status of the Response is 304 Not Modified! Isn't that a contradiction? How can I get it to stop caching (i.e. always send a 200 with content)?

• VBA for filtering columns

  I have a big database-like sheet, first row contains headers. I would like a subset of rows of this table based on column values. Two issues: 1) VBA-wise I would like to loop through the columns, when the values for all necessary columns all match, copy the entire row into a new sheet. 2) The subset of rows is based on a list. This should be the first column to be looped through. For example I want all rows where the value in column A is equal to one of the values in my list. Is there any possibility to autofilter strings based on a list (column) of strings? EDIT Thanks to @Doug Glancy the autofiltering works now, so I've removed my (horrible) code and issue 1 is solved.

  I'm coding up a small Vista/7 sidebar gadget for our web based employee schedule system and I've run into a Javascript problem that my Google-FU can't solve. I can't figure out how to fill in a login form from the client. I'm creating a new ActiveXObject, navigating to the site, but lost as to where to go from here. var conn = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); conn.open("POST", "url", false); conn.send(null); Can access the form from the ActiveXObject based on the form id? I'd also assume I'm going to need to change a few headers for a POST vs. a GET? Thanks for any tips or links to references! I can't seem to find much and JavaScript isn't my forte.

• Can you use POST to run a query in Solr (/select)

  I have queries that I am running against out solr index that sometimes have very long query parameters, I get errors when i run these queries, which i assume are do to the limit of a GET query parameters. Here is the method I use to query (JSON), this is to show I am using the Http Extensions (the client i use is a thin wrapper for HttpClient) not an end to end solution. 90% of the queries run fine, it is just when the params are large i get the 500 error from solr. I have read somewhere you can use POSt's when doing the select command but have not found examples of how to do it. • Is there any injection vunerability in the body of an email?

  Hey guys..... AFAIK there is only a vulnerability within the HEADERS of an email when using user data correct? I am using the below function to sanitize my data, however I have some textarea fields on the page & hence these may contain linebreaks.. so was wondering if that user data is only going to be put in the body of the email, can it not bother with being sanitized - apart from stripping html of course? • Caching images with different query strings (S3 signed urls)

  I'm trying to figure out if I can get browsers to cache images with signed urls. What I want is to generate a new signed url for every request (same image, but with an updated signature), but have the browser not re-download it every time. So, assuming the cache-related headers are set correctly, and all of the URL is the same except for the query string, is there any way to make the browser cache it? The urls would look something like: http://example.s3.amazonaws.com/magic.jpg?WSAccessKeyId=stuff&Signature=stuff&Expires=1276297463 http://example.s3.amazonaws.com/magic.jpg?WSAccessKeyId=stuff&Signature=stuff&Expires=1276297500 We plan to set the e-tags to be an md5sum, so will it at least figure out it's the same image at that point? My other option is to keep track of when last gave out a url, then start giving out new ones slightly before the old ones expire, but I'd prefer not to deal with session info.

I am using visual studio 2005. the solution contains lots of projects, 34 projects in all, and the start up projects depends on others. then in linking part, it'll wait a long time before the real linking starts. I am pretty sure it's because of too many projects depended, as when I use a solution with 10 of the 34 projects(keep other projects as headers&libs), it'll start instantly. so any one has any idea that I can reduce the waiting time? thx.

  Hi guys, I'm experimenting with C#, and right now I'm trying to get a web page that needs cookies. Since I had no success doing it, I wrote this little PHP script ( directly from php.net): <?php foreach (getallheaders() as $name => $value) { echo "$name: $value\n"; } ?> but, when i run: this.WBro.Navigate("http://localhost/cookie.php", null,null,"Cookie: foo=bar"); the foo cookie isn't there, and all I got is a page displaying the "usual" headers ( except the cookie one).   I am working on unix. I want to knwo the current cpu usage of a process. I understood that ps give the average of cpu used till the process is up - it is not the current usage. Is there a way to print only the cpu from the top command without 10 more parameters and headers? I know how to do it with awk - this is not the way i want to do it. top -p 20705 -bc -n 1 | tail -n 2 | awk '{ print $9}' | head -n 1 If there is another simple way to do it, not reading /proc/stat... If there is a simple way doing it from c++, it is also ok.

  I'm writing a controller helper that sets the proper response headers for my REST controller action. It's pasted below and should be simplified enough for those who aren't familiar with Zend Framework to understand what I'm doing. My question is: Are these codes correct for their respective responses, and in the case of "access denied" do I use a 401 or 403?
