  • Can I use multiple step definition files with SpecFlow?

    I'm using SpecFlow to do some BDD-style testing. Some of my features are UI tests, so they use WatiN. Some aren't UI tests, so they don't. At the moment, I have a single StepDefinitions.cs file, covering all of my features. I have a BeforeScenario step that initializes WatiN. This means that all of my tests start up Internet Explorer, whether they need it or not. Is there any way in SpecFlow to have a particular feature file associated with a particular set of step definitions? Or am I approaching this from the wrong angle?

  • OpenOffice - make autocorrect keep the original letter case

    I use OpenOffice to write in about 5 languages, using the US keyboard only. I therefore make extensive use of the autocorrect feature to add accents and the like automatically. The problem is that OpenOffice insists on ignoring the letter case I use, and instead it always uses that which I used when setting up the autocorrect. For example, now when I type, in French, "D'apres", it gets converted to "d’après" instead of "D’après". Is there a way to tell OpenOffice not to change the letter case?

    I am reading a file like this: char string[256]; std::ifstream file( "file.txt" ); // open the level file. if ( ! file ) // check if the file loaded fine. { // error } while ( file.getline( string, 256, ' ' ) ) { // handle input } Just for testing purposes, my file is just one line, with a space at the end: 12345 My code first reads the 12345 successfully. But then instead of the loop ending, it reads another string, which seems to be a return/newline. I have saved my file both in gedit and in nano. And I have also outputted it with the Linux cat command, and there is no return on the end. So the file should be fine. Why is my code reading a return/newline? Thanks.

The objective is to apply a function to a tuple. I simplified the template parameters and modified the code to allow for a return value of generic type. Now I want to use localtest.me to select the machine directly without port number. I want when I type foo.localtest.me in TS client to connect automaticaly on the 127.0.0.1:3389 is it possible or do I need a proxy to translate port regarding domain name.

  • iphone memory leaks and malloc?

    Okay so im finally to the point where I am testing my iPad App on an actual iPad... One thing that my app does is display a large (2mb) image in a scroll view. This is causing the iPad to get memory warnings. I run the app in the instruments to check for the leak. When I load the image, a leak is detected and i see the following in the allocations: ALl Allocations: 83.9 MB Malloc 48.55 MB: 48.55 MB Malloc 34.63 MB: 34.63 MB What im trying to understand is how to plug the leak obviously, but also why a 2MB image is causing a malloc of 20x that size I am very new to programming in obj-c so im sure this is an obvious thing, but I just cant figure it out. Users (and developers before users) can reasonably test the view by simply looking at the pixels on the screen. Anything else beyond pure graphical rendering should ideally be taken out of the view and placed in the controller and model.   • Different files on shared partition?

    I am dual-booting Windows 8 and Ubuntu 12.04. My partition scheme looks like this: /dev/sda1 - Windows 8 (nfts) /dev/sda2 - Ubuntu / (ext4) /dev/sda3 - Ubuntu home (ext4) /dev/sda5 - swap /dev/sda6 - Shared data partition (exfat) (First off, yes I do have exfat libraries installed on Ubuntu) I created some PNG images in Windows and saved them on my shared partition. From Ubuntu, I edited the images in GIMP and saved them (replacing the ones on the shared partition). When I boot into Windows, the files appear unchanged - exactly like they did before I edited them from Ubuntu. I even added a folder and deleted some other files, but none of these changes exist in Windows. When I boot into Ubuntu, all of the changes are still there. It is as if Windows is caching the old file structure... How is this possible? Thanks in advance.   • Development team collaboration via Google Wave

    I hope I am not repeating any previously asked question. Anyway, so Google Wave is nice and shiny and sounds like a lot of folks(at least at Google I/O :) used it in a useful for work(!) way. I've been beta-testing Google Wave for sometime now, but can't quite grasp how to improve our workflow using it. We have a medium size team of developers that are spread out around US and Europe and naturally most of communication is happening via IM and Skype and email of course. So what are specific things that could be offloaded to Google Wave to improve collaboration by leaps and bounds(meaning not just replacing IM with nicer IM)?

  • IIS7 - Specifying content-length header in ASP causes "connection reset" error

    I'm migrating a series of websites from an existing IIS5 server to a brand new IIS7 web server. One of the pages pulls a data file from a blob in the database and serves it to the end user: Response.ContentType = rs("contentType") Response.AddHeader "Content-Disposition", "attachment;filename=" & Trim(rs("docName"))&rs("suffix")' let the browser know the file name Response.AddHeader "Content-Length", cstr(rs("docsize"))' let the browser know the file size Testing this in the new IIS7 install, I get a "Connection Reset" error in both Internet Explorer and Firefox. The document is served up correctly if the Content-Length header is removed (but then the user won't get a useful progress bar). Any ideas on how to correct this; whether it be a server configuration option or via code? Thanks.

  • Vim configuration slow in Terminal & iTerm2 but not in MacVim

    Ideally, I want to use Vim from Terminal or iTerm2. However, it becomes unbearably slow so I had to resort to using MacVim. There is nothing wrong with MacVim, however my workflow would be much smoother if I used only Terminal/iTerm2. When its slow Loading files, in particular Rails files takes about 1 - 1.5s. Removing rails.vim decreases this time to 0.5 - 1s. In MacVim this is instantaneous. Scrolling through the rows and columns via h, j, k, l. It progressively gets slower the longer I hold down the keys. Eventually, it starts jumping rows. I have my Key Repeat set to Fast and Delay Until Repeat set to Short. After 10 - 15 minutes of usage, using plugins such as ctrlp or Command-T gets very laggy. I'd type a letter, wait 2 - 3s, then type the next.   • Problem using System.Xml in unit test in MonoDevelop (MonoTouch)

    I'm new to the MonoDevelop and MonoTouch environment so hopefully I'm just missing something easy here. When I have a unit test that requires the System.Xml or System.Xml.Linq namespaces, I get the following error when I run the test: System.IO.FileNotFoundException : Could not load file or assembly 'System.Xml.Linq, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. Things I've verified: I have the proper usings in the test. The project builds with no problems. Using these namespaces work fine when I run the app in the emulator. I've written a very simple unit test to prove that unit testing works at all (and it does). I'm a test driven kinda guy so I can't wait to get this working so I can progress with my app. Thanks in advance.

For example: I at one point failed to understand that the size of an integer was not a standard (depends on the language and target). A bit embarrassing to state, but there it is.   • Django admin interface upload failing on request data read error

    Hi All, This is an updated version of an old question I asked. I've now done a lot more testing, plus the old question got hijacked. I'm getting a request data read error when trying to upload files to the Django admin interface. Files under about 150k work, but bigger files always fail and almost always at around 192k (that's 3 chunks) completed, sometimes at around 160k. The Exception I get is below. File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/django/http/multipartparser.py", line 405, in read return self._file.read(num_bytes) IOError: request data read error I've tried Chrome and Firefox on Windows and Firefox on Mac - Same results. I can upload to other sites so I don't think it's my connection. I'm running python 2.4, django 1.1, mod_wsgi, on CentOS (a media temple DV server) Locally it's fine (Django development server) Everything I've found on this issue says it's a mod_python issue and that changing to mod_wsgi will fix it, but I am running mod_wsgi. Can anyone help?

    Hi , i was trying to make a full lot of ips for testing using this code : ip_is = [i for i in range(256)] ports = [i for i in range(1024,49152)] return [str(i1)+"."+str(i2)+"."+str(i3)+"."+str(i4)+":"+str(p) for i1,i2,i3,i4,port in ip_is,ip_is,ip_is,ip_is,ports] The problem is the 3rd line in which is made the ip list. If there is a way to make it all at once or how can make one at time in a lazy way ? I'm pretty noob at python :P. Thanks for the Help :)
