  Hello, I am creating a chat application using JApplet. I have a TextArea where all chat messages go. Everything in working fine and smooth just as you would expect a basic chat application to do. Now i want to add support for gestures. I wanted to know, how can we show an icon in textarea? it only takes string in append() method. Thanks in advance :)

  I am running a typical php-engined ajax webpage. I use echo to return a html string from the php code. My question is, if I have some other code after the echo, will those code get executed? Or echo behaves similar to exit, which immediately return and stop running the php code? Thanks.

  Hello, I'm using JQuery to consume a WCF Service. Actually this works fine: var para = ' { "Parameter" : { "ID" : "5", "Name" : "Peter" } }' $.ajax({ type: "POST", contentType: "application/json", data: para, url: url success: success }); But I don't want to pass the data parameter as String and I think it should be possible to pass ist as array in any way. Like that: var para = { "Parameter" : { "ID" : 5, "Name" : "Peter" } } But when I try this I'm getting an error. What I'm doing wrong? Thanks

• How can I pipe input to a Java app with Perl?

  I need to write a Perl script that pipes input into a Java program. This is related to this, but that didn't help me. My issue is that the Java app doesn't get the print statements until I close the handle. What I found online was that $| needs to be set to something greater than 0, in which case newline characters will flush the buffer. This still doesn't work.
