    Currently, if I change the locale setting of my application by Locale.setDefault(Locale.ENGLISH); Locale.setDefault(Locale.SIMPLIFIED_CHINESE); What I understand from this JFreeChart forum is that, I am not using correct font. Once you get the reference of the LegentTitle, you can set it to any font. Apparently, JFreeChart's default is "Tahoma" and it doesn't support Chinese characters. May I know, how I can programmatic determine, as list of available Fonts in my system, which support Chinese? I can hard code it to Serif (It fully support Chinese, doesn't it?), its look n feel doesn't looks good to me. I would like to have more choices.

  • Junit 4 test suite and individual test classes

    I have a JUnit 4 test suite with BeforeClass and AfterClass methods that make a setup/teardown for the following test classes. What I need is to run the test classes also by them selves, but for that I need a setup/teardown scenario (BeforeClass and AfterClass or something like that) for each test class. The thing is that when I run the suite I do not want to execute the setup/teardown before and after each test class, I only want to execute the setup/teardown from the test suite (once). Is it possible ? Thanks in advance.

    What would happen if an exception is thrown during the execution of finalize()? Is the stack unwind like normally? Does it continue finalize() and ignore the exception? Does it stop finalize() and continue GC the object? Or something else? I'm not looking for guidelines of using finalize() there are plently of pages explaining that.

There are too many service-based POJO classes that when let into the system complicates it way too much. One option would be use adapter pattern, map the request/response objects to internal domain classes and . But is it even required? Is there a better approach? What are your suggestions?

    Without accessing private API's to get Content URI's, etc. for SMS, how are we expected to query this data? I am currently in the process of writing my own SMS app and I want to stay as compatible as possible. Without storing the information myself in my own database (such that I can store the text messages so that other programs can access the data when/if they delete my app) and without using private API's how the heck are we suppose to query SMS data?

  • Parsing data from txt file in J2ME

    Basically I'm creating an indoor navigation system in J2ME. I've put the location details in a .txt file i.e. Locations names and their coordinates. Edges with respective start node and end node as well as the weight (length of the node). I put both details in the same file so users dont have to download multiple files to get their map working (it could become time consuming and seem complex). So what i did is to seperate the deferent details by typing out location Names and coordinates first, After that I seperated that section from the next section which is the edges by drawing a line with multiple underscores. Now the problem I'm having is parsing the different details into seperate arrays by setting up a command (while manually tokenizing the input stream) to check wether the the next token is an underscore. If it is, (in pseudocode terms), move to the next line in the stream, create a new array and fill it up with the next set of details. I found a some explanation/code HERE that does something similar but still parses into one array, although it manually tokenizes the input. Any ideas on what to do?   • JNI AttachCurrentThread NULLs the jenv

    Hello all, I'm currently in the process of adding JNI functionality into a legacy delphi app. In a single-threaded environment everything works fine, but as soon as I move into multi-threaded environment, things start to become hairy. My problem is that calling JavaVM^.AttachCurrentThread( JavaVM, @JEnv, nil ); returns 0, but puts the JEnv pointer to nil. I have no idea why jvm.dll should return a NULL pointer.
