  • Swing verify code on event dispatch thread at runtime

    - by Jeff Storey
Are there any libraries that instrument code to verify that methods called on swing components are called on the event dispatch thread? It probably wouldn't be too difficult to write some basic code for doing this, but I'm sure there are edge cases and whatnot that other people have handled. I'm looking for this at runtime though, not for unit tests. thanks, Jeff

  • Conflicts with jQuery and the ToolkitScirptManager?

    - by RUtt
It just started experimenting with the ajax.net ToolkitScirptManager and it works fine but then I realized that it is breaking my ajax calls I'm doing using the jQuery library. I'm guessing that it is the issue with the $ symbol, does anyone have anythoughts on how to use both libraries. I don't want to use jquery's noconflict mode because we use other jquery plugins that I'm afraid won't work. Any thoughts?

  • Charting library for Blackberry devices (native)

    - by dozerbull
Does anyone know of a library to display charts and graphs natively on blackberry devices ? There are quite a few javascript (Flot...) charting libraries but I'd rather use something similar to Coreplot on iPhone if it is possible. I didn't find anything on top of SVG (JSR 226) or open GL ES (JSR 239) so any help is appreciated. Ideally, I'd like to be able to: draw Bar Charts (both vertical and horizontal) draw Stacked bar charts draw Pie charts drill-down one level on each bar or pie section to get corresponding information

  • ASP .NET 4.0 How do I Redirect/Override the default CDN path for ScriptManager when EnableCDN=true

    - by plattnum
I am using the EnableCdn=true in my ScriptManager so that WebResource.axd and ScriptResource.axd are overridden with static links to JS libraries at the MS CDN service as follows: <asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server" EnableCdn="true" /> How do I override the CDN URLs or service so that I can retrieve the scripts over HTTPS from the MS CDN service rather than HTTP to avoid the browser mixed mode message? or for that matter a different or my own CDN service entirely.

  • Tips for creating a video-voice-chat application

    - by Marco
I want to create a simple chat application that supports voice and video (something like Skype or Google Talk). I don't want to write everything from scratch, so my question is do you know some good libraries for that? I stumbled over libjingle (c++) and Smash (Java), both implementing the XMPP extension Jingle. Would you recommend one of those?

  • Preferred way to do locales in the Haskell Platform

    - by user355466
The Haskell platform includes two obsolete libraries, old-time and old-locale. For old-time, it also includes the preferred alternative (namely time), but I can't figure out what the recommended alternative for old-locale is. Is this simply a shortcoming of the Platform as of now (version 2010.1.0.0), or something I've overlooked?

  • RVM Ruby 1.9.1 troubles

    - by Casper

Any suggestions?

  • Using memcached as a session storage with CodeIgniter

    - by Alex N.
I am researching possibilities of using memcached as a session storage for a system built on CodeIgniter. Has anybody done this before(that's probably a stupid question :) and if so what's your experience folks? Have you used any existing libraries/extensions? As far as performance improvement what have you seen? Any caveats?

  • Provide local fallback for CSS from CDN

    - by BadHorsie
I'm loading the Bootstrap CSS on my page from the CDN bootstrapcdn.com <link href="//netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/twitter-bootstrap/2.3.2/css/bootstrap-combined.min.css" rel="stylesheet"> How can I test if the stylesheet was loaded, and if not provide a local fallback? I do not want to wait for jQuery or other libraries to load before doing the test; I want all CSS to be loaded on the page first.

  • Drive a POS printer via USB in c#

    - by JDibble
Any ideas how i can best drive a USB POS printer from c#. POS printers are usually serial, TCP/IP or USB based. I know how to accomplish serial and TCP/IP but have no idea about communications through USB in C#. I know that there is a layer available from Microsoft called POS.NET, but I want to try and avoid using this. Any ideas or any C# libraries that people can recomend would be really appreciated. Thanks

  • Unable to install gem "pg" on Ubuntu 12.10 (AMD64)

    - by Lynx_Eyes
I've been (unsuccessfully) trying to install the "pg" gem on my ruby 1.9.3-p286 but nothing seems to work. I've already installed postgresql (9.1), libpq-dev and a few others like postgresql-server-dev-9.1. I've tried to pass the "with-pg-config" flag to the gem install but simply nothing seems to work. Every time I try to install the gem it outputs something like this: Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing pg: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. /home/lynux/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.3-p286/bin/ruby extconf.rb checking for pg_config... yes Using config values from /usr/bin/pg_config checking for libpq-fe.h... yes checking for libpq/libpq-fs.h... yes checking for pg_config_manual.h... yes checking for PQconnectdb() in -lpq... no checking for PQconnectdb() in -llibpq... no checking for PQconnectdb() in -lms/libpq... no Can't find the PostgreSQL client library (libpq) *** extconf.rb failed *** Could not create Makefile due to some reason, probably lack of necessary libraries and/or headers. Results logged to /home/lynux/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p286@phisiodata/gems/pg-0.14.1/ext/gem_make.out What am I doing wrong? Is there something else that I should do before trying to install the gem? Thank you in advance. [EDIT] Ok, so joelparkerhenderson's answer set me to think that there might me something wrong with paths and libraries and a went on digging a little bit further.. I've found this awesome post and it solved! Basically the problem lies with RVM. So, my problem is solved and for anyone out there that might suffer from the same thing, follow the link!

  • Information Extraction Toolkits

    - by MathGladiator
I'm looking for information extraction libraries where I can have semi structured information that may have either hidden or incomplete data. I want to train some classifiers to pull out content based on the structure. I'm working on building a tool where I can select text in the browser, and it will generate (via some web service call) a classifier that can be used on other documents to pull out text. I'm primarily looking at how the structure of the document can be used to indicate what the content is.
