I'd like for any url that doesn't hit an existing file, to do a lookup on the other possible cases and see if those files exist, and if so, 302 to them.
If that's not possible, then I'm ok with these compromises:
Only check the lowercase version
Only check the first path portion
For example http://example.com/CoOl/PaTH/CaMELcaSE should redirect to http://example.com/cool/path/camelCase (assuming the latter exists).
but of course a full solution is much more useful to me and others
Let say I have the following folders:
/A/C
/D/B/E
/D/B/C (this is a symlink to /A/C created by ln -s)
When one of the makefiles tries to use the path /D/B/C/../E it gets a "no file or directory" error. I understand why this happens; /A/E does not exist. However I have to use symlinks to populate the B folder and create the build tree (very long story).
Any ideas?
Looking for resources having objective technical details about application pools and .NET memory management, for the purpose of configuring many apps.
Many suggestions exist but I am specifically looking for reasons to back up any suggestions.
I often have to modify files such as sysctl.conf, and I'm familiar with using sed to replace existing values.
Is there a way to append the new key/value pair to the file if sed wasn't able to replace it?
For instance, using this example: modify config file using bash script
sed -c -i "s/\($TARGET_KEY *= *\).*/\1$REPLACEMENT_VALUE/" $CONFIG_FILE
How could I add the $TARGET_KEY = $REPLACEMENT_VALUE new line to $CONFIG_FILE using the same sed expression with slight changes?
And on a related topic, how can I force creation of $CONFIG_FILE if it didn't exist?
I'm trying to get a query string from a shared function in a code-behind model using VB.NET. You have to use HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString("Query") in order to get it from a shared function, however doing HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString.Count gives back 0, which obviously isn't right in my case as there's many that exist. Is there some sort of issue with using this static call from a shared function?
I have an ApplicationContext.xml file with the following node:
<context:property-placeholder
location="classpath:hibernate.properties, classpath:pathConfiguration.properties" />
It specifies that both properties files will be used by my application. But if one of these files does not exist, no error ir thrown.
How can I throw an exception for any of these files? They should me mandatory.
So I have a website that I recently made changes to, and one of the changes was removing a page from the site. I deleted the page, it doesn't exist anymore.
However, when you search for my site, one of the results is the page that I deleted. People are clicking on the page and getting an error.
How do I remove that page from the search results?
I have a table for animals like
Lion
Tiger
Elephant
Jaguar
List item
Cheetah
Puma
Rhino
I want to insert new animals in this table and I am t reading the animal names from a CSV file.
Suppose I got following names in the file
Lion,Tiger,Jaguar
as these animals are already in "Animals" table, What should be a single SQL query that will determine if the animals are already exist in the table.
Does a smarter way than the following exist to resize a rectangular array?
double[,] temp = new double[newSize, originalSecondDimension];
Array.Copy(original, temp, original.Length);
I was concerned about duplicating a huge array and the memory necessary to do it. What does the Array.Resize() do internally?
Thanks,
Alberto
I have a number of modules in CVS with different tags. How would I go about getting the name of the branch these tagged files exist on? I've tried checking out a file from the module using cvs co -r TAG and then doing cvs log but it appears to give me a list of all of the branches that the file exists on, rather than just a single branch name.
Also this needs to be an automated process, so I can't use web based tools like viewvc to gather this info.
I know how to do this in O(n^2). But it seems like there exist a better solution.
I've found this, and there is a link to O(n) answer, but it's written in Haskell and not clear for me.
It would be great to get an answer in c# or similar.
When working with NHibernate and Sql Compact in a Windows Form application I am wondering what is the best practice for managing connections. With SQL CE I have read that you should keep your connection open vs closing it as one would typically do with standard SQL. If that is the case and your using a IoC, would you make your repositories lifetime be singletons so they exist forever or dispose of them after you perform a "Unit of Work".
Also is there a way to determine the number of connections open to Sql CE?
hello folks., in umbraco, is it possible to check if certain property exist for particular node ? for example, i am having 5 nodes and i am having media picker property for first node alone.. i need to check all the nodes whether media picker property is available for nodes or not? thank you
I have the following structure in Python:
letters = [['a', 'b', 'c'], ['p', 'q', 'r', 's'], ['j', 'k', 'l']]
I would like to find all the possible combinations of letters in the order that they currently exist. For the example above this would be:
apj
apk
apl
aqj
aqk
aql
...
csk
csl
This seems like it should be a very simple thing to do but I cannot figure it out.
Lets say you have a 96 kbit mp3 and you Transcode the file into a 320 kbit mp3. How could you programmatically detect the original bit rate? Does one exist or how should I approach this problem? Perhaps an algorithm to detect Generation Loss could be used.
Translate the vb6 code to vb.net or c# or java, too difficult to me, thank you.
Dim dom As New DOMDocument
Dim http As XMLHTTP
Dim strRet As String
If not Dom.load(c:\voucher.xml)then msgbox “file not exist”
http.Open "Post", "http://127.0.0.1/import.asp", True
http.Send dom.xml
I'm looking for an equivalent to GetTickCount() on Linux.
Presently I am using Python's time.time() which presumably calls through to gettimeofday(). My concern is that the time returned (the unix epoch), may change erratically if the clock is messed with, such as by NTP. A simple process or system wall time, that only increases positively at a constant rate would suffice.
Does any such time function in C or Python exist?
In task manager, I am only able to see the resources w3wp.exe is using, but this is too vague.
Can I see the resources each website and app pool is using? Would also be nice if I can see what pages are taking up the most resources (all in real-time). Does anything exist like this?
I have a database with which I wish to expose data with a ContentProvider. However, it is important that all the colums are not exposed, and also they should be renamed. Is there any good way of doing this? I was thinking maybe some kind of proxy-cursor which takes a cursor and translates its columns to the desired ones, and calls to close and the like would just be replayed to the original cursor. Does something like this exist, or would it be hard to make?
Usually I just dump the database and reimport it with a new name. This is not an option for very big databases. Apparently RENAME {DATABASE | SCHEMA} db_name TO new_db_name; does bad things, exist only in a handful of versions, and is a bad idea overall.
Oh, one more thing - this needs to work with InnoDB, which stores things very differently than MyISAM.
I'm writing a script to download a bunch of files, and I want it to inform when a particular file doesn't exist.
r=`wget -q www.someurl.com`
if [ $r -ne 0 ]
then echo "Not there"
else echo "OK"
fi
But it gives the following error on execution:
./file: line 2: [: -ne: unary operator expected
What's wrong?
MySQL has something like this:
INSERT INTO visits (ip, hits)
VALUES ('127.0.0.1', 1)
ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE hits = hits + 1;
As far as I'm know this feature doesn't exist in SQLite, what I want to know is if there is any way to archive the same effect without having to execute two queries. Also, if this is not possible, what do you prefer:
SELECT + (INSERT or UPDATE) or
UPDATE (+ INSERT if UPDATE fails)
I'm trying to compare the schemas of two tables that exist in different databases. So far, I have this query
SELECT * FROM sys.columns WHERE object_id = OBJECT_ID('table1')
The only thing is that I don't know how to use the sys.columns to reference a database other than the one that the query is connected to. I tried this
SELECT * FROM db.sys.columns WHERE object_id = OBJECT_ID('table1')
but it didn't find anything.
I'm using SQL Server 2005
Any suggestions? thanks!
