  • What exactly does this piece of JavaScript do?

    I saw this page growing in popularity among my social circles on Facebook, what 98 percent bla bla... and it walks users through copying the below JavaScript (I added some indentation to make it more readable) into their address bar. Looks dodgy to me, but I only have a very basic knowledge of JavaScript.     How do I achieve the following conversion from double to a string: 1.4324 => "1.43" 9.4000 => "9.4" 43.000 => "43" ie I want to round to to decimal places but dont want any trailing zeros, ie i dont want 9.4 => "9.40" (wrong) 43.000 => "43.00" (wrong) So this code which I have now doesn't work as it displays excess twos: [NSString stringWithFormat: @"%.2f", total]

Then the user types their email and clicks reset password, which creates a token and sends an email with a link to reset their password.     I'm trying to use a PreparedStatement with code similar to this: SELECT * FROM ? WHERE name = ? Obviously, what happens when I use setString() to set the table and name field is this: SELECT * FROM 'my_table' WHERE name = 'whatever' and the query doesn't work. Is there a way to set the String without quotes so the line looks like this: SELECT * FROM my_table WHERE name = 'whatever' or should I just give it up and use the regular Statement instead (the arguments come from another part of the system, neither of those is entered by a user)?
