  • shared library path inconsistent from one host to another

    I built my qt app so that all the Qt modules it uses are contained in the same directory as the executable. It works on the machine I used to build the app and I made sure to test this by removing those shared libraries everywhere except in the current directory of the app. Doing a ldd shows that its looking for those libraries in the current directory and putting the executable by itself fails to open the exectuable. So this is all good but when I transfer this directory to a host machine it still cant find those libraries. what could be the problem?

  • Session variables with Cucumber Stories

    I am working on some Cucumber stories for a 'sign up' application which has a number of steps. Rather then writing a Huuuuuuuge story to cover all the steps at once, which would be bad, I'd rather work through each action in the controller like a regular user. My problem here is that I am storing the account ID which is created in the first step as a session variable, so when step 2, step 3 etc are visited the existing registration data is loaded. I'm aware of being able to access controller.session[..] within RSpec specifications however when I try to do this in Cucumber stories it fails with the following error (and, I've also read somewhere this is an anti-pattern etc...): Using controller.session[:whatever] or session[:whatever] You have a nil object when you didn't expect it! The error occurred while evaluating nil.session (NoMethodError) Using session(:whatever) wrong number of arguments (1 for 0) (ArgumentError) So, it seems accession the session store isn't really possible. What I'm wondering is if it might be possible to (and I guess which would be best..): Mock out the session store etc Have a method within the controller and stub that out (e.g. get_registration which assigns an instance variable...) I've looked through the RSpec book (well, skimmed) and had a look through WebRat etc, but I haven't really found an answer to my problem... To clarify a bit more, the signup process is more like a state machine - e.g. the user progresses through four steps before the registration is complete - hence 'logging in' isn't really an option (it breaks the model of how the site works)... In my spec for the controller I was able to stub out the call to the method which loads the model based on the session var - but I'm not sure if the 'antipattern' line also applies to stubs as well as mocks?   • Is there a workaround for JDBC w/liquibase and MySQL session variables & client side SQL instructions

    Slowly building a starter changeSet xml file for one of three of my employer's primary schema's. The only show stopper has been incorporating the sizable library of MySQL stored procedures to be managed by liquibase. One sproc has been somewhat of a pain to deal with: The first few statements go like use TargetSchema; select "-- explanatory inline comment thats actually useful --" into vDummy; set @@session.sql_mode='TRADITIONAL' ; drop procedure if exists adm_delete_stats ; delimiter $$ create procedure adm_delete_stats( ...rest of sproc I cut out the use statement as its counter-productive, but real issue is the set @@session.sql_mode statement which causes an exception like liquibase.exception.MigrationFailedException: Migration failed for change set ./foobarSchema/sprocs/adm_delete_stats.xml::1293560556-151::dward_autogen dward: Reason: liquibase.exception.DatabaseException: Error executing SQL ... And then the delimiter statement is another stumbling block. Doing do dilligence research I found this rejected MySQL bug report here and this MySQL forum thread that goes a little bit more in depth to the problem here. Is there anyway I can use the sproc scripts that currently exist with Liquibase or would I have to re-write several hundred stored procedures? I've tried createProcedure, sqlFile, and sql liquibase tags without much luck as I think the core issue is that set, delimiter, and similar SQL commands are meant to be interpreted and acted upon by the client side interpreter before being delivered to the server.

  • Trying to add trailing slash with htaccess, results in a absolute path

    What I'm trying to achive is to have all urls on my page look like http://domain.com/page/, no extensions, but a trailing slash. If a user happends to write http://domain.com/page or http://domain.com/page.php it will redirect to the first url. After some googling i found this code, and it's close to working, but when you leave out the trailing slash in your request the url becomes something like http://domain.com/Users/"..."/page/ and therefor returns a 404.   • jQuery animate() - multiple selectors and variables, a unique animate() call

    Hi guys, I am resizing several divs in a loop with animate() in jQuery. At the same time I am moving (left property, no resizing at all) the div where they are contained. Problem is, despite they have same duration the resize animate calls finish before the move call. They are out of sync. Is there any way of creating a list of selectors and its properties and then run a unique animate() call? Or, is there any alternative to make multiple animations happen at the same time? I've seen there's a property called step that happens every time animate loop happens but, again, each animate() call has it's own step call. Thanks in advance :)

  • Python class variables not defined with called from outside module

    I am having some issues with calling a function outside of a module. The scenario is I have a small class library that is using turtle to do some drawing, the function within the module calls the classes also within the module and draws things, etc. This all works fine and dandy when I call the function from within the same file, but if I have another file and call myLib.scene() I get variable undefined errors. Code examples: a class class Rectangle(object): def __init__(self, pen, height=100, width=100, fillcolor=''): self.pen = pen self.height = height self.width = width self.fillcolor = fillcolor def draw(self, x, y): '''draws the rectangle at coordinates x and y''' self.pen.goto(x, y) if self.fillcolor: self.pen.fillcolor(self.fillcolor) self.pen.fill(True) self.pen.down() for i in range(0,4): self.pen.forward(self.height if i%2 else self.width) self.pen.left(90) and the calling function is this def scene(pen): rect = Rectangle(pen) rect.draw(100,100) when I put the line scene(turtle.Turtle()) into the same file I have no issues, the rectangle is drawn and everyone goes home happy. However, if I try to call it from a separate python file like so: myLib.scene(turtle.Turtle()) I get an error: NameError: global name 'pen' is not defined, in the for loop of my draw method. Even if the line above is in the same file it still bombs out. What is going on?

    What is the proper way to do error-checking in a class? Raising exceptions? Setting an instance variable dictionary "errors" that contains all the errors and returning it? Is it bad to print errors from a class? Do I have to return False if I'm raising an exception? Just want to make sure that I'm doing things right.     Excuse me for what I'm sure is an elementary question for most of you, but I have an issue with table columns from separate tables having the same name as one another, and trying to select from both tables in the same query. Okay, so this is my code: $q_value = $mdb2->quote($_POST['query']); $field = $_POST['field']; $sql = "SELECT m.*, l.name FROM memberlist m, mail_lists l WHERE m.$field=$q_value AND l.id = m.list ORDER BY m.id"; $l_list = $mdb2->queryAll($sql, '', 'MDB2_FETCHMODE_ASSOC'); The table memberlist has the following columns: id, email, list, sex, name and the table mail_lists has the following columns: id, name After running the query, I later loop through the results with a foreach like so: foreach ($l_list as $l){ //blahblah } The problem is that the column 'name' in mail_lists refers to the names of the list, while the column 'name' in memberlist refers to the name of the member. When I later access $l-name (within the foreach), will I get m.name, or l.name? Furthermore, how do I get access to the other? Or will I just have to do two separate queries?

    Hi There, I'm trying to enable dynamic fields in the configuration file for my mapping app, but I can't figure out how to parse the "equation" passed in by the user, at least not without writing a whole parser from scratch! I'm sure there is some easier way to do this, and so I'm asking for ideas! Basic idea: public var testString:String = "(#TOTPOP_CY#-#HISPOP_CY#)/#TOTPOP_CY#"; public var valueObject:Object = {TOTPOP_CY:1000, HISPOP_CY:100}; public function calcParse(eq:String):String { // do calculations return calculatedValue } So far, I was thinking of splitting the expression by either the operators, or maybe the variable tokens, but that gets rid of the parenthetical nesting. Alternatively, use a series of regex to search and replace each piece of the expression with its value, recursively running until only a number is left. But I don't think regex does math (i.e. replace "\d + \d" with the sum of the two numbers) Ideally, I'd just do a find/replace all variable names with their values, then run an eval(), but there's no eval in AS... eesh I downloaded some course materials for a course on compiler design, so maybe I'll just write a full-fledged calculator language and parser and port it over from the OTHER flex (the parser generator) :-D

    I am trying to allow the user to drag and drop and image from on position to another. The screen layout is as follows: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 I want the user to grab image 2, 4, 6, or 8 and drag it to image 5. Upon dragging to image 5 I want to load up a fragment. The user can only drag the image in a straight line from it's current position to 5's position. ie image 2 and only drag down and only until it is overtop of image 5, image 4 can only drag right until overtop of 5, etc. Any insight on how to do this is greatly appreciated.     Have found one or two people on the interwebs with similar problems, but haven't seen a solution posted anywhere. I'm getting a build error from the code/template below, but can't figure out where the issue is or why it's occurring. It appears that the template isn't recognizing the function, but don't know why this would be occurring.   • problem with customized destination path

    during installation i'm giving an option to user to change the default installation dir. Once this is done, installation goes fine and installs in the user specific location. But when i use INSTALLDIR to modify few registry entries, INSTALLDIR is having old, default values but not the user specified. This is happening to only one package and i couldn't find the reason. Any help will save my time. i use installshield 12 on win2k3 x86. ~calvin
