  • Portable Programming IDE

    - by Click Ok
    Frequently I'm brainstormed with programming ideas that I would like to directly code. More or less like "Wow, that algorithm will rock! I need to write it now!". For this kind of "impulse" to write, I use http://www.jarte.com/ that is a cool portable text editor. If I'm near a cybecafe or a friend computer, I just plug the usb pen drive and start to write... So, I would like: 1) a portable minimalist IDE 2) with minimal OS requirement (ie.: I want run from XP, Vista, etc...) 3) any modern language (I can learn a new language if needed. I just want write/test the algoritm) 4) Syntax Highlight/intellisense is good, but not required 5) Free Is there something like this?

  • Are you using Virtual Machine as your primary development enviroment?

    - by Click Ok
    Recently I have purchased a notebook that cames with Windows Home Basic (that don't have with ASP.Net/IIS. I thought in upgrade the Windows version to one with ASP.Net/IIS, but I thought in another possibility: I have an Hard Disk Case with a 360Gb HD. I thought in create a virtual machine with Windows Ultimate (installing too ASP.Net, IIS and Visual Studio 2008) in this HD Case, then I can access my "development enviroment" in any computer that I will work on (my desktop machine and my notebook). But I was worried about the performance. I don't have experience working in Virtual Machines (I use it just to quick compatibility tests)... Are you using Virtual Machine as your primary development enviroment? What your finds? ==================== Thanks for your answers! It really did help me! I would like to know too about portability ie.: the virtual machine that I created in my laptop will work in the desktop? I will need re-activate Windows?

  • How to create a simple c# http monitor/blocker?

    - by Click Ok
    I was reading that question (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/226784/how-to-create-a-simple-proxy-in-c) that is near of my wishes. I simply want develop a c# app that, by example, monitors Firefox, IE, etc and logs all navigated pages. Depending of the visited page, I want to block the site (like a parental filter). Code snippets/samples are good, but if you can just tell me some direction of that classes to use I will be grateful. :-)

  • Javascript - event listener toggle button

    - by user2546157
    I'm trying to create a button which can toggle "double click" to "single click" and in the opposite. For some reason, once it toggles to single click and it cannot toggle back. Can anyone please help! function init() { normal_listeners(); } function addListener(){ var image1 = document.getElementById('image_1'); var image2 = document.getElementById('image_2'); var image3 = document.getElementById('image_3'); if(document.getElementById('listener_1').value == "Listener"){ document.getElementById('listener_1').style.backgroundColor = "red"; alert("Normal"); image1.addEventListener("dblclick", function(){userChoice(1);}, false); image2.addEventListener("dblclick", function(){userChoice(2);}, false); image3.addEventListener("dblclick", function(){userChoice(3);}, false); document.getElementById('listener_1').value = "Normal"; } else if(document.getElementById('listener_1').value == "Normal") { document.getElementById('listener_1').style.backgroundColor = "green"; alert("Listener"); image1.addEventListener("click", function(){userChoice(1);}, false); image2.addEventListener("click", function(){userChoice(2);}, false); image3.addEventListener("click", function(){userChoice(3);}, false); document.getElementById('listener_1').value = "Listener"; } } function normal_listeners(){ var image1 = document.getElementById('image_1'); var image2 = document.getElementById('image_2'); var image3 = document.getElementById('image_3'); var listener1 = document.getElementById('listener_1'); listener1.addEventListener("click", addListener, false); image1.addEventListener("dblclick", function(){userChoice(1);}, false); image2.addEventListener("dblclick", function(){userChoice(2);}, false); image3.addEventListener("dblclick", function(){userChoice(3);}, false); } window.onload = init; <img id="image_1" src="rock.jpg" alt="ROCK" width="100" height="100"> <img id="image_2" src="paper.jpg" alt="PAPER" width="100" height="100"> <img id="image_3" src="scissors.jpg" alt="SCISSORS" width="100" height="100"> <input type="button" id="listener_1" value="Normal" style="background-color:red">

  • Uninstalling Android Application

    - by Sosukodo
    When I create an Android project in Eclipse and send it to my device for debugging, the app works fine but when I try to uninstall it, I get a strange message. Below are the steps to recreate my problem: Eclipse Version: 4.2.0 Build id: I20120608-1400 ADT Version: 2.0.3 v201208082019-427395 Run Eclipse Click File-New-Project... Select Android/Android Application Project Click Next. Enter Application Name: Test Build SDK: Android 4.1 Minimum Required SDK: API 8 Android 2.2 Enable: Create custom launcher icon / Create project in workspace Click Next thrice. Click Finish. Connect 4.1 Android device to computer via USB. Click Run-Run from menu. Select "Android application" on popup the "Run As" popup. Click Ok. MainActivity application runs on device. Click the Back button on the Android device. Open applications on device and find "MainActivity" app. Long press the MainActivity icon and drag to trash. Here's the puzzling part: Instead of getting a standard Do you want to uninstall this app? I get a dialog with this text: MainActivity is part of the following app: Test Do you want to uninstall this app? Why do I get this message instead of the standard one? Why is MainActivity the name of the app when I specifically stated the name of the app is "Test"?

  • Determining the chances of an event occurring when it hasn't occurred yet

    - by sanity
    A user visits my website at time t, and they may or may not click on a particular link I care about, if they do I record the fact that they clicked the link, and also the duration since t that they clicked it, call this d. I need an algorithm that allows me to create a class like this: class ClickProbabilityEstimate { public void reportImpression(long id); public void reportClick(long id); public double estimateClickProbability(long id); } Every impression gets a unique id, and this is used when reporting a click to indicate which impression the click belongs to. I need an algorithm that will return a probability, based on how much time has past since an impression was reported, that the impression will receive a click, based on how long previous clicks required. Clearly one would expect that this probability will decrease over time if there is still no click. If necessary, we can set an upper-bound, beyond which we consider the click probability to be 0 (eg. if its been an hour since the impression occurred, we can be pretty sure there won't be a click). The algorithm should be both space and time efficient, and hopefully make as few assumptions as possible, while being elegant. Ease of implementation would also be nice. Any ideas?

  • calling same function on different buttons not loaded yet

    - by Jordan Faust
    I can not get this to work for every button and I cannot find anything explaining why. I guessing it is something small that I am missing $(document).ready(function() { // delete the selected row from the database $(document).on('click', '#business-area-delete-button', { model: "BusinessArea" }, deleteRow); $(document).on('click', '#business-type-delete-button', { model: "BusinessType" }, deleteRow); $(document).on('click', '#client-delete-button', { model: "Client" }, deleteRow); $(document).on('click', '#client-type-delete-button', { model: "ClientType" }, deleteRow); $(document).on('click', '#communication-channel-type', { model: "CommunicationChannelType" }, deleteRow); $(document).on('click', '#parameter-type-delete-button', { model: "ParameterType" }, deleteRow); $(document).on('click', '#validation-method-delete-button', { model: "ValidationMethod" }, deleteRow); } the event function deleteRow(event){ $.ajax( { type:'POST', data: { id: $(".delete-row").attr("id") }, url:"/mysite/admin/delete" + event.data.model, success:function(data,textStatus){ $('#main-content').html(data); }, error:function(XMLHttpRequest,textStatus,errorThrown){ jQuery('#alerts').html(XMLHttpRequest.responseText); }, complete:function(XMLHttpRequest,textStatus){ placeAlerts() } } ); return false }; This works only for a the button with id validation-method-delete-button. I use document and not the button its self because the button is contained in a template that is loaded later via ajax. I have this working for a similar function that is selecting a row in a table however I am not attempting to pass data in that scenario.

  • Add event to all elements except the given with jQuery

    - by Metropolis
    Hey everyone I created a date picker that uses ajax to populate an element with an id of calendarContainer. When the user clicks on a button to bring the calendar up, I want the user to be able to click anywhere else on the screen besides the calendar and have it hide. The calendarContainer is at the root of the dom and I have tried everything I can think of to get this working. I have gotten the calendar to go away when it is not clicked on. However, when I click on the calendar it is also going away. I only want the calendar to go away when it is not clicked on. Here are all of the things I have tried. $(":not(#calendarContainer > table)").live('click', function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); $(":not(#calendarContainer").live('click', function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); $(":not(#calendarContainer)").click(function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); $("body:not(#calendarContainer)").click(function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); $(":not(#calendarContainer, #calendarData)").live('click', function() { $.Calendar.hide(); }); Thanks for any help, Metropolis

  • Big task - problems with page refresh and ajax

    - by user1830414
    I have a navigation which load dynamically content via ajax. But if I refresh the page or visit another url and go back the current content is away and I see the old content under the first menu tab. Now I have to solve this problem. The index.php include the elements header_registrated.inc.php, navigation.inc.php and main_container.inc.php index.php: <?php include("inc/incfiles/header_registrated.inc.php"); ?> <?php if (!isset($_SESSION["userLogin"])) { echo "<meta http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"0; url=http://localhost/project\">"; } else { echo ""; } ?> <?php include("inc/incfiles/navigation.inc.php"); ?> <?php include("inc/incfiles/main_container.inc.php"); ?> <?php include("inc/incfiles/footer.inc.php"); ?> header_registrated.inc.php: <?php include ("inc/scripts/mysql_connect.inc.php"); session_start(); $user = $_SESSION["userLogin"]; ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> <title>title</title> <link href="css/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script language="JavaScript" src="js/framework/jquery.js"></script> <script language="JavaScript" src="js/dropdown/window.js"></script> <script language="JavaScript" src="js/navigation/navigation.js"></script> </head> <body> </body> navigation.inc.php: <div class="navigation"> <ul> <li id="1"> <div id="menuImage1" class="menuImage"></div> <div class="menuText"><p>Punkt 1</p></div> <div class="navigationDart"></div> </li> <li id="2"> <div id="menuImage2" class="menuImage"></div> <div class="menuText"><p>Punkt 2</p></div> </li> <li id="3"> <div id="menuImage3" class="menuImage"></div> <div class="menuText"><p>Punkt 3</p></div> </li> <li id="4"> <div id="menuImage4" class="menuImage"></div> <div class="menuText"><p>Punkt 4</p></div> </li> <li id="5"> <div id="menuImage5" class="menuImage"></div> <div class="menuText"><p>Punkt 5</p></div> </li> <li id="6"> <div id="menuImage6" class="menuImage"></div> <div class="menuText"><p>Punkt 6</p></div> </li> </ul> </div> main_container.inc.php: <div class="mainContainer"> <div class="containerHeader"> <div class="contentHeader"> </div> </div> <div class="contentContainer"> <div class="content"> </div> <div class="advertisement"> </div> </div> </div> Now the divs content, cnotentHeader and advertisement (in file main_content.inc.php) is filled via ajax. Please help me. I have the feeling that I've searched the whole web to find an answer.

  • What configure options were used when building gcc / libstdc++?

    - by OK
    After reading about the problem of passing empty std::string objects between DLLs and EXEs, I am concerned about the configure options used to build my gcc / libstdc++. More specific I want to know if --enable-fully-dynamic-string was used during ./configure. I'm using MinGW 4.4.0 on Windows XP. Does anybody know the configuration used to build this release? Is there a general way to find this information for any installation of GNU gcc? The gcc manual gives me no hint on this topic. Thanks for your input!

  • Portable C++ IDE

    - by Click Ok
    I want a portable C++ IDE for general development, and too to develop basic Windows GUI applications. In my research, I've found this (with latest version date): CodeLite IDE (2010-04-02) Code::Blocks (2008-02-28) Bloodshed Dev-C++ (2005-02-22) NetBeans (2009-12-10) Ultimate++ (2010-03-16) Qt Creator (2010-02-01) But I don't know if some these IDE's supports Windows GUI development (or Cross Platform GUI development) or if can be Portable (NetBeans can be portable).

  • My SMTP's outgoing mail gets bounced

    - by BloodPhilia
    I've got a ISPconfig 3 production server set up, running Ubuntu Server 9.04. My e-mail gets delivered ok to almost every other server I send mail to except for one (smtp.chello.nl which bounces my email). In my /var/log/mail.err I found the below error. • Postfix - suspend domain from which deferred status was received?

    - by Al Bundy
    Is there a possibility to make Postfix stop trying (for a period of time) to send emails to a domain from which it received a deferred response? Currently my Postfix goes through each address in the queue. Please see the below example. At 09:48:32 the status=deferred appears. After this Postfix should stop trying to send stuff to the yahoo.com domain. • Can't setup 3 nodes MongoDB recplica set

    I just follow instructions in MongoDB document Replica Sets - Basics to setup a 3-node Replica set. Everything goes fine when I do the initiate and add first node in the primary. • Create new folder for new sender name and move message into new folder

    - by Dave Jarvis
    Background I'd like to have Outlook 2010 automatically move e-mails into folders designated by the person's name. For example: Click Rules Click Manage Rules & Alerts Click New Rule Select "Move messages from someone to a folder" Click Next The following dialog is shown: Problem The next part usually looks as follows: Click people or public group Select the desired person Click specified Select the desired folder Question How would you automate those problematic manual tasks? Here's the logic for the new rule I'd like to create: Receive a new message. Extract the name of the sender. If it does not exist, create a new folder under Inbox Move the new message into the folder assigned to that person's name I think this will require a VBA macro. The instructions for actually triggering a message when a new message arrives are a little light on details (for example, no mention is made regarding ThisOutlookSession and how to use it). Thank you.

Followed every step and when I test it, it seems to have worked, but I get no mail (not even on the spam folder) Below is the log for a test message: 050 >>> MAIL From:<[email protected]> SIZE=345 AUTH=<> 050 250 2.1.0 OK ek1sm23505399vdc.28 - gsmtp 050 >>> RCPT To:<######@gmail.com> 050 250 2.1.5 OK ek1sm23505399vdc.28 - gsmtp 050 >>> DATA 050 354 Go ahead ek1sm23505399vdc.28 - gsmtp 050 >>> . 050 250 2.0.0 OK 1401150762 ek1sm23505399vdc.28 - gsmtp 050 <########@gmail.com>...   • RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument

    When my system boots up it shows the following message. Bringing up loopback interface: [ OK ] Bringing up interface eth0: RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument [ OK ] Bringing up interface eth1: RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument [ OK ] Bringing up interface eth2: RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument [ OK ] Bringing up interface eth3: RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument [ OK ] Why is this happening. • Disabling Skype automatic update

    - by user13267
    How to stop skype from searching or at least downloading update without consent? I want that annoying "Update skype now" dialog box that keeps popping up before I log in to Skype and after I log in to Skype from appearing at all. Few months ago this used to work: 1) C:\Users\”YourName”\AppData\Local\Temp folder. 2) Find the file called SkypeSetup.exe, and delete it. 3) Create a text file in the folder, rename it to SkypeSetup.exe 4) Right click on the new file you just created and ask for properties. 5) Next left click the security tab then left click the advanced button. 6) Now left click “Change Permissions” and then “Add”. Enter “Everyone” (without the quotes) where it sez’, “Enter the object name to select (examples):” and click “OK”. 7) Now check the “Deny” box for “Full control” and click “OK”. obtained from HERE, but now it seems this has stopped working. The worst part is Skype seems to download ~30MB of executable setup file without my knowledge before bugging me with the dialog box to update it, and there seems to be no direct way to disable this download. And disabling the skype updater service does not seem to work either. Is there any kind of patch or registry hack I can use to stop skype from auto updating? Or should I start looking for an alternative to Skype altogether?
