  • SQL Syntax to count unique users completing a task

    I have the following code which shows me what users has completed ticket and this lists each user and the date they close a ticket. i.e. Paul Matt Matt Bob Matt Paul Matt Matt At the moment I manually count each user myself to see their totals for the day.   • MySQL use certain columns, based on other columns

    I have this query: SELECT COUNT(articles.id) AS count FROM articles, xml_documents, streams WHERE articles.xml_document_id = xml_documents.id AND xml_documents.stream_id = streams.id AND articles.published_at BETWEEN '2010-01-01' AND '2010-04-01' AND streams.brand_id = 7 Which just uses the default equajoin by specifying three tables in csv format in the FROM clause.. What I need to do is group this by a value found within articles.source (raw xml).. so it could turn into this: SELECT COUNT(articles.id) AS count, ExtractValue(articles.source, "/article/media_type") AS media_type FROM articles, xml_documents, streams WHERE articles.xml_document_id = xml_documents.id AND xml_documents.stream_id = streams.id AND articles.published_at BETWEEN '2010-01-01' AND '2010-04-01' AND streams.brand_id = 7 GROUP BY media_type which works fine, the problem is, I'm using rails, and using STI for the xml_documents table. The articles.source that is provided to the ExtractValue method will be of a couple different formats.. So what I need to be able to do is use "/article/media_type" IF xml_documents.type = 'source one' and use "/article/source" if xml_documents.type = 'source two' This is just because the two document types format their XML differently, but I don't want to have to run multiple queries to retrieve this information.. It would be nice if one could use a ternary operator, but i don't think this is possible.. EDIT At this Point I am looking at making a temp table, or simply using UNION to place multiple result sets together..

  • Django queryset not returning the same values as the generated sql

    Hello guys, I have the following queryset: subscribers = User.objects.values('email', 'username').filter( Q(subscription_settings__new_question='i') | Q(subscription_settings__new_question_watched_tags='i', marked_tags__id__in=question.tags.values('id'), tag_selections__reason='good') ).exclude(id=question.author.id) The problem is that when I evaluate the query I get only the values that are filtered by the first Q object (even if I reverse the order of the objects). So lets say that I was expecting the user A, B, C and D, where A and B are filtered by the first Q object and C and D by the second. But the queryset only returns A and B. I used the django debug toolbar to see the query that was actually being executed (and then I used a direct print statement like "print subscriber.query.as_sql()" just to be sure) and then evaluated the query directly using psql (I'm using postgres by the way), and I get the results I expect.   • TwoWay Binding to ListBox SelectedItem on more than one list box in WPF

    I have a scenario where I have a globally available Properties window (similar to the Properties window in Visual Studio), which is bound to a SelectedObject property of my model. I have a number of different ways to browse and select objects, so my first attempt was to bind them to SelectedObject directly. For example: <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding ActiveProject.Controllers}" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedObject, Mode=TwoWay}"/> <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding ActiveProject.Machines}" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedObject, Mode=TwoWay}"/> This works well when I have more than one item in each list, but it fails if a list has only one item. When I select the item, SelectedObject is not updated, since the list still thinks its original item was selected. I believe this happens because the two way binding simply ignores the update from source when SelectedObject is not an object in the list, leaving the list's SelectedItem unchanged. In this way, the bindings become out of sync. Does anybody know of a way to make sure the list boxes reset their SelectedItem when the SelectedObject is not in the list? Is there a better way to do this that doesn't suffer from this problem?

The issue is that when the redirect handler gets called, it starts an infinite loop of redirection. I tried using an HTTP 302 redirection in place of the JavaScript but that kept failing too. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I saw this similar question but there are no answers.

  • Why is document.body == null in Firefox but not Safari

    I have a problem with a page where I am trying to get colorbox (a kind of lightbox for jQuery) working. It doesn't work apparently due to the document.body being null in FireFox (3.5.3). This is not the case in Safari (4.0.3) where the colorbox works. Something that jumps out at me is that (I'm using Drupal 6) drupal has appended a script tag to set some JavaScript variables at the very bottom of the page, below the closing body and html tags. Otherwise I don't see a problem. Unfortunately I'm having a lot of trouble getting it not to do that. Could it be this that's causing FF to have issues with the body? Using colorbox's example files in Firefox does work (and the document.body is defined there). Is there any way I could use jQuery to refill the document.body property with something from $() perhaps, or should I keep banging at drupal to not put a script tag outside the html tags (easier said than done)? To clarify the document.body is null even after the page is done loading. Here's a Firebug console capture: >>> document.body null >>> $().attr('body') null

  • Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) OpenLDAP invalid credentials issue

    This won't be a question, but a solution to an infuriating problem on Ubuntu 10.04. If you tried to deploy an LDAP server using this distro following the tutorials below, you'll be on serious trouble. Tutorials: https://help.ubuntu.com/9.10/serverguide/C/openldap-server.html https://help.ubuntu.com/9.10/serverguide/C/samba-ldap.html The error first appear, on the line: "ldapsearch -xLLL -b cn=config -D cn=admin,cn=config -W olcDatabase=hdb olcAccess" It simply won't allow admin to access the "cn=config", thus you won't be able to deploy the LDAP server correctly. After almost a week searching for a solution, I've found this page: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-docs/+bug/333733 On comment #5, the solution is presented. Quoting the author: when you get to the setting up ACL part you all of a sudden need to use a cn=admin,cn=config, that doesn't exist creating a config.ldif with dn: olcDatabase={0}config,cn=config changetype: modify add: olcRootDN olcRootDN: cn=admin,cn=config dn: olcDatabase={0}config,cn=config changetype: modify add: olcRootPW olcRootPW: secret dn: olcDatabase={0}config,cn=config changetype: modify delete: olcAccess and adding it with ldapadd -Y EXTERNAL -H ldapi:/// -f config.ldif It's unacceptable that a Linux distribution, popular like Ubuntu, have such ridiculous bug.   • IE7 CSS bug aligning <img> with text in a <ul>

    I've been banging my ahead on this IE7 bug for the last few days and it's time to resort to the mind of the crowd. I have the following HTML and CSS: http://beerpla.net/for_www/ie7_test/test.html The goal is to have a <ul>, with each <li> containing a small icon and some text. Multiline text would be aligned to itself and not wrap under the image. I've tried using float:left on the image and a bunch of other things, and finally I thought the position:absolute would work for sure but in IE7 I consistently see the text pop off to the next line and get misaligned with the image: This is what I expect it to look like: I even tried to make the div display:inline which kind of worked but then started wrapping under the image for long lines, so it was no good. zoom:1 also produced a similar effect. I'm at a loss at the moment. This code works fine in all other browsers. IE7 is a special, very special child. Any ideas? Thank you. Edit: If you have IE8, you can emulate IE7 by pressing F12 and then Alt-7.

  • Unable to convert from Julian INT date to regular TSQL Datetime

    Help me Stackoverflow, I'm close to going all "HULK SMASH" on my keyboard over this issue. I have researched carefully but I'm obviously not getting something right. I am working with a Julian dates referenced from a proprietary tool (Platinum SQL?), though I'm working in SQL 2005. I can convert their "special" version of Julian into datetime when I run a select statement. Unfortunately it will not insert into a datetime column, I get the following error when I try: The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value. So I can't setup datetime criteria for running a report off of the Stored Procedure. Original Value: 733416 Equivalent Calendar Value: 01-09-2009 Below is my code... I'm so close but I can't quite see what's wrong, I need my convert statement to actually convert the Julian value (733416) into a compatible TSQL DATETIME value.   • Rails Nested Forms Attributes not saving if Fields Added with jQuery

    Hi I have a rails form with a nested form. I used Ryan Bates nested form with jquery tutorial and I have it working fine as far as adding the new fields dynamically. But when I go to submit the form it does not save any of the associated attributes. However if the partial builds when the form loads it creates the attribute just fine. I can not figure out what is not being passed in the javascript that is failing to communicate that the form object needs to be saved. I try to solve the problem by changing the zip file creation code to String[] filenames = new String[]{"MyDirectory" + "/" + "MyFile.txt"}; But, is this an eligible solution, by hard-coded the seperator? Will it work under Mac OS? (I do not have a Mac to try out)

For each of the two outer lists I want to display a group of checkboxes. Each set can have an arbitrary number of choices.   • jQuery draggable + droppable: how to snap dropped element to dropped-on element

    I have my screen divided into two DIVs. In the left DIV I have a few 50x50 pixel DIVs, in the right DIV I have an empty grid made of 80x80 LIs. The DIVs on the left are draggable, and once dropped on a LI, they should snap to center of that LI. Sounds simple, right? I just don't know how to get this done. I tried by manipulating the dropped DIV's top and left CSS properties to match those of the LI they're dropped into, but the left and top properties are relative to the left DIV. How can I best have the dropped element snap to the center of the element it's dropped into? That's gotta be simple, right? Edit: I'm using jQuery UI 1.7.2 with jQuery 1.3.2. Edit 2: For whoever else has this problem, this is how I fixed it: I used Keith's solution of removing the dragged element and placing it inside the dropped-on element in the drop callback of the droppable plugin: function gallerySnap(droppedOn, droppedElement) { $(droppedOn).html('<div class="drop_styles">'+$(droppedElement).html()+'</div>' ); $(droppedElement).remove(); } I don't the dropped element to be draggable again, but if you do, just bind draggable to it again. For me this method also solved the problem I had when positioning the dropped elements (which would be relative to the left DIV) and scrolling inside the second DIV. (Elements would remain fixed on page, now they scroll along). I did play with the snap options to make it look good while dragging, so thanks to karim79 for that suggestion. I probably won't win any Awesome Code prizes with this, so if you see room for improvement, please share!

  • Dojo addOnLoad, but is Dojo loaded?

    I've encountered what seems like a chicken & egg problem, and have what I think is a logical solution. However, it occurred to me that others must have encountered something similar, so I figured I'd float it out there for the masses. The situation is that I want to use dojo's addOnLoad function to queue up a number of callbacks which should be executed after the DOM has completed rendering on the client side. So what I'm doing is as follows: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="dojo.xd.js"></script> ... </head> <body> ... <script type="text/javascript"> dojo.addOnLoad( ... ); dojo.addOnLoad( ... ); ... </script> </body> </html> Now, the issue is that I seem to be calling dojo.addOnLoad before the entire Dojo library has been downloaded the browser. This makes sense in a way, because the inline SCRIPT contents should be executed before the entire DOM is loaded (and the normal body onload callback is triggered). My question is this - is my approach sound, or would it make more sense to register a normal/standard body onload JavaScript callback to call a function, which does the same work that each of the dojo.addOnLoads is doing in the SCRIPT block. Of course, this begs the question, why would you ever then use dojo.addOnLoad if you're not guaranteed that the Dojo library will be loaded prior to using the library? Hopefully this situation makes sense to someone other than me. Seems like someone else may have encountered this situation. Thoughts? Best Regards, Adam Rice

  • Images missing after moving Django to new server

    I'm moving Django project to new server. I'm newbie in Django, and I don't know where should be upload folder. There are all images which should be displayed on website. In config file I haven't seen upload folder I could specify, so I'm guessing it always should be the same location for django projects or I just can't find it. Locations are saved in database. When I've put uploaded files into media folder, so url was like domain.co.uk/media/upload/media/images/year/month/day/image_name.ext and the same is on the old website, images on website ware still missing. All images are visible if I put url by hand, but django doesn't seems to see files.
