  • How to recover basic networking utilities on Debian?

    I am administrating a small server for LAN, providing basic services such as web-proxy, ldap, kerberos, afs, etc. Yesterday there was a power cut so server halted. When I restarted it no network interfaces were available and configured. I tried restarting networking daemon but it just exited with 0 status. So I tried to run one of the interfaces manually, but ifup and ifdown commands simply are not there. No only in PATH, but they disappeared from /sbin. So my question is: how can I recover these network utilities?

    I need some help in bison grammar construction. From my another question: I'm trying to make a meta-language for writing markup code (such as xml and html) wich can be directly embedded into C/C++ code. Inside the wdi source it is not necessary to use prints, every return statement will be used for output (in printf function). The program's output will be clean html code. I am searching for efficient (I want to create a fast parser) way to create a lexer and parser for wdi. Already tried flex and bison, but as I am not sure if they are the best tools. Are there any good alternatives? What is the best way to create such an interpreter? Can you advise some brief literature on this issue?

    I was wondering if in C/C++ language it is possible to pass arguments to function in key-value form. For example in python you can do: def some_function(arg0 = "default_value", arg1): # (...) value1 = "passed_value" some_function(arg1 = value1) So the alternative code in C could look like this: void some_function(char *arg0 = "default_value", char *arg1) { ; } int main() { char *value1 = "passed_value"; some_function(arg1 = value1); return(0); } So the arguments to use in some_function would be: arg0 = "default_value" arg1 = "passed_value" Any ideas?
